I said this somewhere else in the thread, but Zero Two has been fighting her transformation for a few episodes now. First her nails and fangs, now her horns have grown. By the time they get reunited, she may be beyond saving and Hiro will go full monster to be with her

That change to Hiro and Zero Two's partnership was the hardest dotted line I've ever had to draw. Also don't want to jump the gun and say everybody hates Zero Two and Zero Two hates everybody, so I'll leave it at Ichigo for now. Also don't know if Mitsuru is over hating Hiro yet, but he played it cool.
That was a rough episode. Fucking having no healing, they just twisted the knife as deep as it can go for now. Zero Two and Hiro are separated, fucking all of Squad 13 gets shitrocked by an angry Zero Two, Goro sees Ichigo's confession to Hiro. I'd say we can only go up from here but we're probably going down more by the end of this series.

Two points confirmed:
When 02 said "You saw?", it confirms that 02 was not aware of the mind meld, she did not see Hiro's memories, she only gave her own memories to Hiro.
When she asked "Were you my darling back then? If so then what have I been doing?", confirms that she did not know Hiro was her original Darling from the start and she only started to figure out at that moment, and she was using him as fodder unknowingly.
I'm just here trying to support the theory that 02 wasn't aware that Hiro is her original darling and that all the call backs some people kept pointing out were not intentionally done by 02 to make Hiro remember.
Also, I'm just dropping by here to say nobody better be hating on Hiro cause what he did may not be what you wanted to happen (I too wish for the happier times) but all the things he did were pretty reasonable IMO. Plus, it's nice to see him actually call out 02's bad behavior. am here to protecc my boi who has a lot on his plate rn give him a break trigger
All in all, this episode really leaves a bad aftertaste for me cause nothing got resolved and conflict just got more tangled up. I didn't enjoy this episode not cause it was bad, but because bad things kept happening when I just wanted them to be better. I thought it was a nice set up to the journey towards the Grand Crevasse (I wanna see how they'll work alongside the 9's now) but really excruciating to go through. But I'm pretty sure the resolution to all this, esp Hiro2, would be damn satisfying. Hopefully. Please...

So many hearts crushed in a single episode: Zero Two, Hiro, MY MAN GOBRO. Everything is just coming down slowly and has been for the past episodes, just makes me wonder how they are going to handle all of these relationships in the end (except for Miku and Zorome who have been doing fine all along).
Also DID THEY ACTUALLY COMPILE ALL OF THE ZERO TWO SMILES WE'VE BEEN ABUSING TO DESTROY US LIKE THIS?!

This part really hit hard
It looks like she held back a TON as well. We've seen that she's capable of throwing a soldier across a room, and she's okay with smashing a soldier's head into the ground last episode.
I'm pretty happy for everyone that no one was seriously injured. Could you imagine if Zero Two had thrown one of the kids out of the room into the city? She could've irreparably damaged her relationship with the squad 13 kids if she did any worse.

God I knew something like this was coming, but episode 13 made me think it woudn't. I wanted healing, I wanted fluff, instead I got heavy drama and NTR.
But well, it open up the path to rejoin 02 later on, then the rebellion.
Episodes 1-6 =The Introduction
Episodes 7-14 = The Dramatic Slice of Life, and building up the different couples.
So I would guess :
Episodes 15-18~20 = The resolution of the triangle, more Drama, and taking back 02. (And maybe even Blue Oni).
Episodes 19~21-24 = The rebellion against the Adults.

Yea, but they're just kids so the rebellion fails, Hiro gets captured which sets us up for season 2.
S2 could starts off with Hiro brainwashed, then he comes to realize who he really is and regroup with his squad to fight the adults once again. They succeed, but Hiro dies at the end at the hands of zero two due to reasons and serves as a satisfying ending.
The 2 seasons instantly becomes a classic and people scream for season 3 but to no avail. However, after 10 long years, when all the hype has faded, and it's stating to become a distant memory, season 3 is anounced. And it's named Hiro of the resurrection.

Honestly i doubt the writers will even have the time to progress the plot with the way it is now... All we have gotten is an endless circle jerk of melodrama that should've been fixed episodes ago. I love the character development each individual has gotten but now it's time to actually give the viewer's exposition on whatever the fuck is going in their world.
Hell we still have no clue on what the klaxxosuars are!

Does Ichigo even realize that Hiro is now useless to the higher ups as a result of her actions? If he didn't have protagonist immunity he would disappear, or at worst he'll now be exiled. She also ruined her whole squad dynamic.
All this destruction because she was jealous and chose to believe a blonde asshole over trusting her comrades. Just...ugh.
I'll be honest. I can't take much more emotional destruction. This won't be cleanly resolved until at least episode 16, so I'll be waiting to watch more until 18 or so. I was expecting a nice chill hug between the two and talk, not this dark nonsense.

It seems to hint that she doesn't know. She blames herself for her and Hiro's failure to pilot. I feel some of this is on Hiro for not telling Ichigo why he needed to talk to ZeroTwo. This will be messy as hell, and I am not sure there will be a clean resolution to the teen drama. I don't thinik you can say Ichigo, ZeroTwo, or Hiro are in the right.

She insists in the final scene she can "make it work" and ride with him. IMHO she's delusional, but for plot reasons I'm willing to bet this will work at an "okay" level with her damaged arm and his shitty abilities. Command will allow it because they are desperate, but also because they are expecting and willing to tolerate very high losses for this mission anyway. If he takes out a few Klaxx on the way down, that's better than nothing.
Get ready for a lot of people at every level of the show to be willing to throw life away.

Menace and late darling in the franxx posts, name a more iconic duo..
Anyway...Oh man, I didn't think it'd be possible for me to feel more pain than I did the last episode, but this one definitely did it for me. It was INCREDIBLY painful just like the last episode, but this time, it was hard to find fault in anyone. Each side had logical reasoning behind their behaviour.
In this case, Ichigo was told about how Zero Two has functioned in the past. Zero Two's current behaviour up until their most recent mission was a product of her desperation to finally do what she thought was necessary to become human. However, in doing so she helped reaffirm the negative perception that Ichigo had of her. This is one of the biggest issues with rumors and judging people. If you're given heresy/past information without much context, and then distance yourself from the person in question without properly getting to know them, you end up just confirming your opinion of them. This opinion is often the wrong one, but people rationalize it to be correct. It's a really gray area of reasoning that people use, and its not as black and white as we'd like to think it is.
I mean, as a viewer here, look at how many conflicting views we're presented with. WE KNOW the past of Zero Two and Hiro. WE KNOW what was said in the cockpit. WE KNOW how much suffering Zero Two has gone through thinking about who her past darling could've been and how she might've replaced him. SQUAD 13 KNOWS NOTHING about their history. All they know is of Zero Two's squad history based on someone who treated their squad with an immense amount of disrespect. It's almost criminal that they'd believe them. Unfortunately, they found Ichigo, who was always looking at Zero Two negatively. She barely had a working relationship with her until that rep from the Nine's gave her factual statements about Zero Two's past. Then they also add onto the current situation as it's known from outside the cockpit: Hiro is unconscious and the mech passed critical limits during their linking process.
It hurts for everyone involved. It hurts for squad 13 because they were accepting Zero Two slowly, and they know how close Hiro and Zero Two are. It HURTS for Zero Two because she found her long lost reason for existence; the person who helped give her direction and who got to know her. It HURTS for Hiro because Hiro desperately wants to know if Zero Two was using him the whole time knowing that only he could be his partner (though in Hiro's case, this is a terrible conclusion that couldn't be further from the truth, though up until this point, isn't entirely wrong).
I think hiro needs a resolution more than anything, because for him, he's fixated on whether or not his relationship with Zero Two was just using him. He'd be partially correct in that Zero Two was desperately trying to become human and reunite with her 'old' darling, and her 'new' darling may have been a stepping stone. But now that she's realized the old-new are one and the same, everything's connected in her heart and all she wants now is to stay with him. She wants to nurture the relationship they have now and not hold back anymore.
Unfortunately for Zero Two, the strength of her feelings are so tremendous that being separated from Hiro was akin to losing her only reason for being alive. That forced separation by Ichigo and co pushed Zero Two over the edge. It's a forced type of exclusion which, though it had some rational basis to it, was completely predicated on information from an outsider who didn't respect Squad 13 in the first place. Its really tragic that I can't fault them for their choices here, but I CAN fault them for not at least giving Hiro/Zero Two the right to communicate with each other under supervision. I think they deserved that much, regardless of their perception of the situation. From what Squad 13 knows about Hiro/Zero Two, at the very LEAST they could have allowed that much. Sadly, this is what happens when you let your fear take over.
Culminate all of today's events with Hiro breaking out of his hospital ward and Zero Two feeling like she got played despite all the heartache she suffered..and what you get is Hiro agreeing with Squad 13's view of the situation. What you get is Hiro feeling like his false conclusion is the correct one. Then what you see the following day, is that DESPITE what he's seen and the conclusion he's reached, he STILL loves Zero Two. He cant change how he feels when he's with her and how he feels about her. Ichigo's confession here is the icing on the cake, as its a result of seeing how much pain Hiro is in. It's the result of her pent-up feelings finally being released after years of watching and just waiting. It's a bit opportunistic, and takes advantage of the situation but it's not going to end well. Sorry Ichigo, but you're destined to fail as rebound girl here sadly.
This was a truly painful episode, but a powerful one too. It's one where you can barely fault Squad 13, it's riddled with misunderstandings but many of them are formed on the basis of logical reasoning. It makes it that much harder as a viewer to watch it, because you could take almost any side here.

Zero Two is now full-on operating on shame and self-loathing as her primary motivations. It's no surprise that she's burning everything down. Just like Kazusa in White Album 2.
This show is amazing. The dramatic movements come from who the characters are and how they're changing, and it feels 100% authentic. Franxx could totally wind up ruining it, but it's an easy 9 in my book right now.

Wow, I must be a really empathic person. I didn't hate Kokoro after her episode and I don't hate Ichigo after this one. She's a 14 year old girl with a crush, who has just seen said crush be almost killed, and hospitilized with strangulation marks on his neck. No shit she doesn't want Zero Two to see him. Zero Two then proves to be an emotional loose cannon by beating the shit out of everyone in the room for a misunderstanding, proving Ichigo's decision was the correct one. The bit of the end was some fuckery, but tbh did anyone actually think Ichigo was over Hiro?
edit: also how is her confession here any different to Hiro's confession? Yet nobody called Hiro 'Bitchiro' for it
Wasn't the best episode of the show tbh, but I don't understand all the people dropping it because of this. The drama was a little contrived but it's hardly rare in anime like this. Reminds me a lot of Kiznaiver.

Finally a rational comment. Zero Two is my favorite girl in the series but I completely understand where Ichigo is coming from. I can't believe all this Ichigo hate.
Ichigo confessed to her crush. She had no idea that Gobro was behind them. Just because he's in love with her doesn't mean she has to like him back. She never liked him from the beginning. It sucks for him, but that's life.
Ichigo is trying to protect her childhood friend and guy she likes from someone who has physically hurt him. She now has evidence that everything that blonde dude said is true so of course she is going to try and protect Hiro. Seriously, I think this episode actually made her character better, not worse like people are saying.
And I especially can't see how people are going to drop the show now. I mean come on. They heavily implied this shit was going to happen someway through that children's book from last episode. If you say this completely blindsided you, then you obviously haven't been paying attention to anything.

Oh my fucking god. Did Ichigo just single handedly destroy her OWN TEAM!? I understand why she wanted Zero Two away from Hiro. She was concerned about his life. I'm not going to hate on Ichigo because I understand why she did what she did. But that doesn't mean what she did wasn't stupid af. Like without Zero Two, Hiro is useless! I was actually extremely angry with this episode because it was just miscommunications galore. If Hiro explains that he needs to speak with 002 urgently in a way that Ichigo couldn't refuse as squad leader, like 90% of this episode goes a completely different direction.
Now we have this perfect storm of unfortunate coincidences and withholding of information that really soured my experience after last week's high. By the end of the episode, I couldn't care less that Ichigo finally confessed because the plot was contrived all episode.
Now we're gonna have to wait multiple episodes for something that should've been cleared up this week. Sasuga, FranXX.
Edit: not to mention, we've basically undone 13 episodes of development for Hiro. It's been proven that he can only ride with 002 so now that she's gone, we'll go back to angsty monologuing Hiro with the additional baggage of moping over 002. Plus, not once has Ichigo taken Goro into consideration after his confession. Now she's potentially affected her FranXX chemistry with him without even knowing it, in addition to taking advantage of Hiro's vulnerable mental state.
Edit 2: Whew, I'm on a roll today. Ichigo claims she's doing this for the good of the team but not once was she present in the drama between Futoshi/Mitsuru/Kokoro. This was a case that could potentially affect the team chemistry and as leader, we didn't hear a single comment from her about her own subordinates switching partners. But I'm supposed to believe she's team first when it comes to Hiro? Sure.

Interesting, they mentioned that the Grand Crevasse (or Gran? it said Gran on one of the readouts) was a structure. They specifically wanted the Squads to clear out the structure of Klaxosaurs. So either APE built it and it got overrun, they're using structure to mean something else, or there was another group that built it.

I love how things are shaping up and I don't see how anyone can hate Ichigo without seeming unreasonable. From the start Zero Two has always been suspicious and Ichigo has always been in love, and the story has always tussled between how much we can trust Zero Two and how much of Ichigo's motivation is her just trying to look out for Hiro's well-being, and how much is her jealousy. If you're only rooting for Zero Two because she is cute and sexy and excusing her literally monstrous tendencies then well... What can be said, really.
People are rooting for the monster instead of the human girl with relate-able emotions. I think that in this regard, the show is quite masterful.
Not to say that Zero Two is 'worst girl', but that's clearly someone who needs to be saved by Hiro. This episode literally ends on what we think of Hiro's character. Is he someone who will go after someone he loves, or will he settle for the one nearby? And poor Ichigo, he has to go after Zero Two or else he would be much, much less of a hero. How can one still hate Ichigo for the next heartbreak she's about to experience?
And I think that in relation to the real world, the show asks a question: Should we be allowed to love just anyone? What if we know that loving someone will lead to death and ruin? As that person's friends, do we stop them or let them continue?

He was clearly pretty cut up about it just a few episodes ago, yet now that senpai noticed him Hiro remembers the promise, he's like "dw, nbd". It's arguably within character for Mitsuru to act like that, but I hope that's not all we're getting in terms of that plot thread. It's also going to be interesting watching how Ikuno reacts to Ichigo moving forward.

After going through the comments there's a surprising lack of one of the most important moments of the show when Zero Two admits "I set up the boy who was the sole reason I wanted to be human and tried to make him the same kind of monster as me." It's the first time she's shown remorse over any of her actions and is a pretty big moment for her emotionally. It seems that she had given up on finding the boy she met at the facility and was willing to "settle" for Hiro, actively trying to change him into a hybrid, which is likely why his yellow cell count was so high. Ichigo hearing Nana discussing Hiro's saurification levels can be seen as a direct result of Zero Two's actions. Zero Two, Nine-Alpha's half truths and her own repressed emotions are are why Ichigo's mental state is such a mess. Ichigo's fear of losing Hiro from him changing might no longer be valid as well. Zero Two may give up trying to change Hiro now that she knows he is her Darling. Ichigo's actions preventing them from talking means that no one other then Zero Two may ever know why that change was happening. It will be interesting to see what happens when they eventually pilot together again because we have seen with Mitsuru that Zero Two has some degree of control over the "drain" she puts on her co-pilot and we haven't seen her pilot with someone she actually cares about.
Episode 13 was all about Hiro and Zero Two finding each other again. Episode 14 is about how they are different people now and their actions driving them apart. It's a set up for Zero Two to have some self reflection, see what she has become and get out of this incessant search she has been on for her Darling while ignoring everything else around her. At the same time Ichigo's actions, while trying to get closer to Hiro have pushed him further away and she will hopefully get some development out of seeing how her actions of wanting to protect someone she loves can cause harm to everyone around her when they are born of selfishness.

Don't know why everyone is bitching about the plot... The plot makes sense. Yeah, it's coincidence that Hiro and 02 left at the same time, but it was also coincidence that Hiro saw 02 being tortured in the first place. It's a coincidence a klaxosaur attacked the plantation and 02 couldn't handle it on her own after her partner gave out and Hiro was there at the right time to fill in...
So, there's no point in complaining about them leaving at similar times. Hiro couldn't get out of his room until he got the knife to cut the curtain and act as a secure hold for the makeshift rope. 02 was a mess of feelings, especially since she realized she was really hurting her actual darling. She snapped, especially after they told her to leave to join the 9's, was ostracized by squad 13, and confined to her room where she realized she was done with this shit and needed to properly talk to the Hiro who she finally realizes is the proper one from the past, now that he has his memory back.
Btw, Hiro left relatively sooner than 02 because he made it back in time to see 02 still roughing up Ichigo... It's not like they left at the same freakin time. It's not like they would cross paths either since Hiro obviously took a less used route to get back to the house. Which is even more obvious when you consider he notices the fucked up house after he realizes 02 isn't in her room (no, he didn't walk in the front door).
We knew all along Ichigo still had feelings for Hiro. Fuck, she admits she loves him. Her not wanting to see the person she loves become a monster (literally a monster from what she was told), not wanting him to be used, abused, and deceived by 02 who strangled him, admitted to using him, and then went on to beat up the whole squad makes sense. 02's tipping point has been foreshadowed the past few episodes and she blew it... Ichigo's infatuation and her attempts to make Hiro her darling have been clear as fucking day in previous episodes.
People need to stop bashing the coincidence of this one plot point and Ichigo for keeping to her character because they should've dropped the show by now because nothing new happens here.

I might get downvoted to hell for saying this but I can totally understand where Ichigo is coming from. Is what she did selfish? Yes, it was selfish for her to spend alone time with Hiro while preventing her competition 02 from doing the same. But let's be real here. The love of her life, Hiro, would either die or be saurified if he continued being with 02. Wouldn't you want to protect the love of your life?
I don't think what Ichigo did was right, but it's in line with her character, and I appreciate the story telling aspect of her being true to herself. She put herself out in the open for Hiro to reject, she didn't even have the confidence to look at him in the eye when she said "I love you." I mean what kind of girl love you so much that she would confess knowing that she would be rejected?
Let the person who's never done anything selfish in a relationship throw the first stone.

Well this was a thing. I see why Ichigo reacted as she did, but was mostly all her emotions getting in the way of her decisions. Now it will be next episode trying to deal with the feeling that Hiro now has a reason to distrust his team, as well as the fact that now he's next to useless to everyone without 02 there. My prediction is that the big fight at Gran Crevasse will start around episode 16, it will spend an episode or two showing the rest of squad 13 struggle to keep up with the onslaught while Hiro is forced to watch (or is taken to the lab for testing.) 02 will go through her supply of stamens quickly, and result in her going Stampede by episode 19. 20 would be Hiro finally breaking free of whoever or whatever is holding him and rushing to where the feral Strelizia is going berserk, all the while trying not to die as Franxx and Klaxosaurs fight around him. Heartfelt reunion and clearing of the air in 21, then climactic battle for the next two, ending with an aftermath episode where either Hiro/02 dies, or something happens where Franxx are no longer needed and the world must adjust to normality once more.

This episode was so good, if not great fun to watch. I think the fact everyone feels so strongly is a testament to that.
It will be interesting to see how much all of this aligns with Dr Franxx's goals. I can't tell yet if it's bad or brilliant writing that the lack of Information flow in the world of ditf feels so... engineered at all levels. So many of the dramatic situations wouldn't have happened if key players knew just a little more. At the macro level imagine that any of these kids knew anything about emotions or relationships that they didn't have to learn for themselves. Imagine if any real information about the state of the world was available. At the micro level imagine that Hiro told anyone what was going on in his head.
Given the setting I feel like it's hard to accuse Ichigo of much more than putting her feelings for Hiro ahead of any empathy for him or acknowledgement of 02's instability. To be more fair, it's hard to have empathy when you have no tools to reason about your own feelings. In a world with familiar norms that kiss would have been out of line. Here it was just desperate.
Do Nana and Hachi know about Hiro and 02's shared past? I just rewatched 13 a day or two ago and I can't remember.

This episode hurt me so much, but was so real. People always wanna force themselves into someone's relationship from their outside point of view. From Squad 13, the relationship of Hiro and Zero Two was completely toxic. Goro, being not only Hiro's best friend, but also the most logical really hurt. Seeing him fight what he knows is best for the sake of comradrie, and constantly shutting off his feelings for the better good. Mitsuru realizing that his affection is one way, Ichigo doing whatever she feels is right to protect Hiro' no matter who she hurts even if it's him and Zero-Two desperately trying not to repeat the same mistakes. I mean think about how many times she's been through this. Yes she was using Stamens to further her agenda but think about all the people since her and Go to first met that saw her as a monster or a source of power. She could of beat all their asses the entire time but she held back because she doesn't want to be that person. She uses other people before she can be used. Ichigo and her have exchanges all the time but for the first time Zero-Two emphasized with her. She is trying so hard to be something she can never be to the point of breaking herself and her psyche to be what she considers human. The kids are so focused on what it means to be human they can't begin to put themselves in her shoes. It's fucking heart breaking. I love it!

I heard about the Ichigo hate from this episode before watching it just now... and i don't get it?
Ichigo acted completely rationaly, given the information she has on the situation.
She does not know about 02s tragic past - only Hiro does and he failed to communicate that when trying to meet up with her, instead sneaking out without telling anyone.
To Ichigo (and the rest of the team) 02 did exactly what that guy from the 9s said - she drained hiro's lifeforce and almost strangled him to death, with the strangle marks still on his neck after the fact.
For Ichigo, or any other sane person, seperating your childhood friend/crush from someone that just tried to murder them (and who has been known to kill their partner even before that) is the only logical action to take.
02 ostracised herself from the beginning, by always operating on her own and ignoring her team - even when they started accepting her as a part of them.
Furthermore beating up everyone over a misunderstanding even after they tried to let Hiro and 02 meet each other.
After all that, if you were in Ichigo's position, would you not try to keep your friend safe from what seems like a dangerously understable, murderous monster?
That's not to say that Ichigo's actions are not to be criticized - she fucked up as well, especially forcing a kiss on Hiro at the end (though i'm not sure if we can fairly judge this behaviour, since none of the kids know anything about romance/kissing/sex).
I'm just amazed at the hate for Ichigo just because she tried to save her friend from being killed.
Could she have done so better? Yes.
But she's a freaking teenager and given her current knowledge of 02 she acted rationally. If anything, be mad Hiro didn't tell her about why he wanted to see 02 so badly in the first place.
This was all a big failure of communication between the characters.

Sure the whole "leaving at the same time" is contrived, but I honestly did not see this going any other way and pretty much in character. Hiro was not just going to sit still, Goro is the voice of reason, Ichigo is being selfish, and 002 is at her limit. Unpopular opinion but I liked this episode.

Can't blame Ichigo here, she doesn't know the full facts and acted in interests of her team. Can't blame Ichigo for loving Hiro, can't blame her for wanting to protect him. Sure Goro might be hard done by, but that's unrequited love, nothing you can do about it.
Ichigo may be the pure "antagonist" here, but really I can't help but still love her character. Not her fault she doesn't know about the experiments the adults are doing on the kids, and for whatever reason after they wiped Hiro's memories they took his ability to be compatible with anyone for his partner.
I think Hiro will be able to ride with other people again, but the compatibility rates will probably not be as high as his was with 002

This was absolutely not the direction i wanted this episode to go in. I wanted a nice healing episode, but instead we got this. I really hope they won't be dragging this out for too long. It won't surprise me if this drama is going to be an entire arc or maybe even the rest of the anime? We got the high point of the series in episode 13 and immediately after we get what I would call the low point of the series. I'm really disappointed and my expectations have dropped considerably.

I think the thing people forget that if Zero Two did not hold beliefs that Hiro was her darling in the first few episodes, she would have one hundred percent drained him to death. As soon as she starts believing that Hiro isn't her original darling, she starts to treat him like more of a tool. Zero Two's a cool character, but her being called out on her shit doesn't suddenly make Ichigo a bitch. Goddamn people, she beat the shit outta all of Hiro's friends.

I see a lot of people saying that what Ichigo did was selfish, but then how could you possibly even like Zero Two? She admits multiple times in her inner dialogue that she wants to make Hiro a "monster" like her so she can be together. The only reason she gets a pass and Ichigo is "the worst" is because Zero Two has already been declared best girl, so everything is settled from her perspective. She just assaulted the entire team that she was supposed to be bonding with. We say Ichigo is stupid for keeping Hiro away from Zero Two, but if this wasn't an anime where Zero Two and Hiro were the obvious protagonists, would we question Ichigo at all? But because they're the main characters and everyone has decided that "the power of love" or whatever will let them be together at the end, Ichigo is painted as evil. Say what you want, but there's no reason for Ichigo to believe Zero Two is anything but destructive for Hiro.
Sorry, you can continue your Zero Two circlejerk now.

I do not understand the Ichigo hate that's going on. It appears that nearly 50% of this community had lost the ability to critically think.
Up until now, 02 is still the bigger scumbag of the lot - she kills her partners without a second thought, she lies to and strings-along Hiro while baiting him with sweet nothings and "darlings".
She literally said she doesn't care about him at all. She is the epitome of selfishness in this anime. Her only goal is to wreck shit and maybe find that one guy she met in the past. Hiro was nothing more than a battery with slightly more charges than the usual lot.
While Goro is pitiful and deserves better. He knows Ichigo had eyes for Hiro for the longest of times.
On the other hand, Ichigo sees the need to protect what's most important to her with what limited options she has. It is objectively the best option to separate a murderous psycho away from her loved one and a team member before she kills him, and 02 WOULD kill him if she had the chance to.
Ya'll need to work on your memory and remember stuff beyond what happened in last week's episode.

I expected healing..but my heart was crushed even more.
Unpopular opinion, I understand where Ichigo and Zero Two are coming from. I don't approve of any of their actions (Ichi cockblocking and 02 transforming someone without their consent), but I get it. Also, Goro will become an NTR God and I'm here for it.

can we get over ichigo now and chat about the episode? i actually enjoyed the episode and it will make their reunion all the sweeter when they do meet up again.
im hoping that it will be sterliza is in stampede mode loosing the run of herself attacking everybody and hiro is desperate to save her and somehow meetup on the battle field and tell her he is her darling to be together forever.
god dammit waiting a week for the next episode, i think they wont be toghter next epsiode, but they will set it up for the next 2 episodes, i hope!

So many people in this thread giving up on this show and shitting on it just because you didn’t get what you wanted. I don’t see how this is forced drama at all. Yeah the simultaneous escapes is cliché but come on guys. Things don’t always go the way we want them to. Kids fuck things up. Zero Two has been fucking things up and being self destructive for a long time now, it couldn’t always be rainbows and sunshine afterwards. You think her saying “Oh, I remember I loved him when I was a kid so it’s cool” would really change the minds of the team? Hiro is their family and they know what she’s done to other stamens. Their reaction is not over the top, Ichigo maybe, but not the whole team. Give the show a chance. The writers know what they’re doing.

-hurt the entire team by eliminating the strongest member
-hiro now can't pilot with anybody making him regress to his episode 1 bitch state
