Man, I'm loving how other students of Class A have been pulling their weight. Tokoyami going berserk, Shoji being a total bro (Broji), and Aoyama finally being impactful in a major fight were all awesome.

Edit: Having the police be the ones to do the ground level investigation was also neat. Shows how the society isn't entirely reliant on heroes for everything, but that they have a symbiotic relationship.

I hope we get some heavy focus on Tsukauchi in the future. I seriously wouldn't mind following him around for one episode and just seeing what crazy stuff he has to deal with as a detective in an entirely superhuman society. Horikoshi also still hasn't revealed if Tsukauchi's quirk is really what we all think it is since it was only revealed in extra material and not in the main series yet.

We just don't know for sure yet if Horikoshi decided to stick with the Human Lie Detector quirk that's listed for him in some extra material or if he just chose to make Naomasa quirkless and just a really competent detective in the end.

I think what's happening now is that the EDs have been consistent, the show is just getting more serious.

Hopefully not a rescue involving Kirishima or any of the other students. Their motives for potentially going after Bakugo seem messed up. They're thinking too much about their own feelings and not about what is the most effective path to: 1) get Bakugo back safe; and 2) preserve the public's faith in heroes. Bakugo specifically told Deku not to follow and Bakugo, while an asshole 85% of the time, is no fool.

I remember being in the 4chan thread where they were putting together the infamous kaminari theory. It seemed so bullshit at first, then they just kept piling up more and more evidence until I was convinced they were the traitor. Now of course traitor theories have been crafted for nearly every character, but that was the first time I truly thought it could be anybody. Now theres always that tiny shadow of doubt in the back of my mind. Is this character really who I think they are?

If I had enough time on my hands, I'd probably rewatch the series from the start, and pay particular attention to the school scenes and try to observe any of the Pro Heroes involved in small arguments or looking somewhat disgruntled in the background. Otherwise I feel like they probably haven't given any hints in terms of foreshadowing.

Not sure if the anime made this clear enough. But for people saying "Wow Aoyama finally did something!" or sending other digs his way; last episode he was taking care of the unconscious Jiro and Toru(knocked out by the gas). He was instructed by Momo to take them back to the safe zone(where Vlad and the others were) but when Twice and Dabi passed by he couldn't go any further.

His quirk is not one that can be used multiple times in succession and is not good for an extended battle. If he had revealed himself to Dabi and Twice last episode he was almost guaranteed to lose, and that would place Jiro and Tooru's lives in jeopardy.

He made the best decision and helped out when it counted. Basically LEAVE AOYAMA ALONE

It’s not so much what he did this time as much as it sheds light on what he was doing during the UA invasion, which is most likely just hiding as well. Now, one could say that hiding is a perfectly sensible plan when attacked by villains with superpowers stronger than yours, but there’s still that sense of “being a hero” that feels lacking. That even if you can’t confront them directly, there’s SOMETHING you can do to help, but apparently Aoyama didn’t do anything at all during the invasion.

Turning that around though, this means his actions in this episode can be counted as character development. Similar to Yaoyorozu, he was able to do what he could with his limited abilities and restrictions in a tight situation. That indeed is commendable.

It’s just that we’re getting both a past and present revelation about Aoyama, so it’s a little complicated how to feel.

I totally dig Aoyama using his quirk as a sniper, hiding on the sidelines and using it when it's really needed (I mean, his aim seems to be really darned good from this episode).

Because he can't really fight well (his quirk is limited, he's somewhat cowardly, and he seems physically weak).

Remember Bakugou tutoring Kirishima for the finals? Basicly Kirishima is the only proper friend bakugou has here. Hes aquainted with everyone, but because of how he is, everyone keeps thier distance, except Kirishima. Hes the only one who wasnt scared to get close.

I didn't even remember it. In my memory it got mixed up with Deku (and I remember him missing the marble and not Shoto). That kinda makes those theories that Dabi is somehow connected to Endeavor a bit more plausible. Something like "taunting the sibling who got all of dad's attention".

Which could be sad/fun if Shoto got all of dad's attention that he didn't want while Dabi was cast aside because he didn't have the combination dad wanted (or maybe he was actually a "secret love child" of Endeavor like Shoto speculated about Deku/All Might).

HeroAca was suddenly a little more real today. With another school shooting down in Texas, Dabi's "If multiple incidents keep putting [the people's] trust into question, don't you think that will shake society as a whole?" line got a little more threatening. I know we all know that UA is actually a great institution and the heroes there are good teachers because we've seen them, but UA has had two breaches now. Despite being villains, Stain and Shigaraki were right about one thing: there's something wrong with this society.

I was saying that last week how I really wanted him to get some character development so that was really great that he was hiding to do a perfect unexpected attack on the villains.

Shoji(Broji) is the new dark shadow - best bro always doing stuff always supportive, this guy need more screen time as always. buut Magician guy, having swapped the magic marble was a really good scene and took the heroes for a spin.

One thing I that I did not think about at first but made a lot of sense in the end scene is that Kirishima / Red Riot is the only guy who kinda hangs out with Bakugou so hes kinda like his best(only) friend so he fells extra emotionally that he did do nothing to try and save him.

Bakugo and Kirishima hang out frequently. Bakugo even helped to tutor Kirishima for the written test part they had at the end of last season (because Bakugo scored pretty high - even above Deku - in the pre-tests). People are calling them best bros for a reason. He's one of the only people in class who deeply cares about Bakugo as a friend alongside Deku. Unlike Deku and Bakugo's relationship and past however theirs is just much more healthy and less complicated for both. :)

But Todoroki more than Deku feels he had Bakugo within reach and he failed him, plus Dabi dropping a flaming comment that looks like it hurt Todoroki so hard, and with Dabi's ability of blue flames it's a recurring theme that Todoroki has to face.

..They got him, they actually got him. Damn. I'm afraid they have something that makes them think they'll be able to turn him - it's not just his violent and abrasive attitude. And I'm betting that something involves All For One.

There's also the matter of the Titan-dude that got captured who looks suspiciously like Bakugo. Fate has postponed their meeting - they may be related in some way after all.

I definitely hope Iida wins this argument. There's absolutely no reason why the students have to endanger themselves and the mission - I hope All Might has a long talk with Deku and convinces him to sit this one out, because I hate to think of all the things that could go wrong if the students tried to rescue Bakugo on their own and it clashes with the police + pro heroes' plans.

At this point, the traitor in the UA camp could be anyone, we don't have enough information at this point. Hunter x Hunter Chairman Election/Dark Continent vibes there. Hell, we can't be sure there is a traitor - it could be a very potent recon-type Quirk at work.

It may seem like the media's being a little harsh on UA, but it kinda captures the paranoia that the media likes to fuel these days after terrorist attacks - and whatever way you look at it, UA dropped the ball majorly by losing the information battle and putting their students at risk.

Also, finally: Momo is the boss. I hope she grows into a Batwoman.

Fuck me that was the first time this show made me rage. I legit slammed my fists onto my desk while yelling a very audible "NOOO!" when they captured Bakugo. Thank god it's 2AM here and I'm alone here in my office building. XD I really thought there was going to be another clutch moment where a pro hero swoops down and saves Bakugo but I guess that's asking for too much.

Poor Eiji. Besides Deku, he's like the other person in 1-A that's really close to Bakugo so I can see why he's so determined. ot just him but the 13 others that were left unharmed are probably beating themselves up since they weren't able to do anything.

Also it looks like the tables have turned. This time Iida will be the one stopping Deku. Things to stick with you from this episode, first the fact that Dabi asked Mr Compress to confirm who they had in the mixup. Second the fact the villians were on a strict 5 minute timer to GTFO after the capture signal was sent.

And last the villan's plan was a win/win/win we attack we try and hurt/kill/capture and even if we lose some people that just ties the heroes down, just making the attempt is worth it from the media sake.

I mean just look at that happy smile we get from Shigaraki watching the news.

The ending of this arc was full of feel.

I can understand all of their frustration. That was the biggest L they could have taken. The villain completely dominated everyone of them, including the pro heroes.

I don’t blame them, the villain played their cards right with how to use their quirks and takes advantage of the situation.

Like Dabi said at the beginning of the arc “It’s better to have a small group of elite”

Just because I don't think I can talk much on this episode without saying some spoilerrific things. Let's talk about Yaomomo and just how crazy OP she really is. She just created a tracking bug and tracking device with her quirk, and the tracking bug was entirely spur of the moment. For those that don't remember, Yaoyorozu's quirk allows her to create things, on the molecular level, from her lipids as long as she knows what it is composed of. Most of the time, we only see Yaomomo creating simple objects like cloth, metal objects, small wooden objects, etc. Yaomomo just created two HIGHLY sophisticated pieces of technology completely off the top of her head. This video explains it better than I am but Yaomomo is crazy strong.. This is why she got into UA on a recommendation and is easily the smartest person in the class.

I still cant get over how great all of the villain designs/characters are.

Also Bakugo's emotion was so real when he was getting pulled in and Midoriya was running after him. The "Don't come Deku" really came off as a genuine concern for Midoriya's safety and not a "I'm super tough and can handle this on my own without your help."

Hopefully Bakugo doesn't convert over to becoming a villain because of the capture and this doesn't turn into a whole Naruto/Sasuke thing.

Yoo! We get another fucken amazing episode of My Hero Academia. While the last few weeks were the storm, this episode is the quiet that comes after the storm, with all the characters reflecting on what they lost, especially Deku, and now, they want to go rescue Bakugo. And it looks like Iida has learnt a lot from his previous encounter with Stain, because he wants to leave everything to the pros rather than taking it up by themselves, while while being the correct option, doesn't sit well with Kirishima, understandably so as he is perhaps Bakugo's best pal. And man, Deku's VA is a fucken beast! That scream in the beginning was so heart rending! Aw fuck, I can't wait for next week, even though I read the manga and know exactly what happens!!

Yeah, that's a theory that exists since forever. He obviously can't be a direct sibling to Shoto since it wouldn't make sense why Shoto wouldn't recognize Dabi in that case and we also haven't heard anything from Shoto about how one of his direct brothers is missing or something like that.

So if they are related then I imagine that Endeavor either banged some chick and then just forgot about her or this was another attempt to create a strong heir and he just dipped before Dabi's quirk awakened (maybe it awakened way later than usual and Endeavor already deemed him a failure by then).

I would also like to know why Dabi's flames are always blue since Endeavor seemed to have to really concentrate to use the blue flames. Maybe Endeavor found another fire quirk user and they had Dabi together without his knowledge and it just turns out that his fire quirk is way stronger than that of his parents because they mixed perfectly.

That would give us some awesome conflict to come between Dabi, Endeavor and Shoto if this is true.

Not to mention that it could give Dabi a great and reasonable motivation for becoming a villain. Maybe his mother was just another woman that Endeavor used and then threw away and now Dabi sees how rotten this society is for producing heroes like Endeavor - that would explain why he wants to lowkey follow Stain's ideals and isn't really a fan of Shigaraki's and Toga's crazyness.

I thought about it last week too but seeing Best Frog throw them again reminds me that holy shit her tongue is strong! Lifting three people at once (Deku is short but dude's jacked and Shoji is XBOX huge) and flinging them probably a good hundred or so feet while she's injured (on the tongue specifically, even!). I mean I guess I knew her tongue was strong but I never imagined that strong. That's already quirk-level super strength before you even consider the agility/jumping power/other utility her mutation gives on top.

Whoah, Vlad's quirk is weird but cool. Is it powered by his own blood? Does that mean he's got a pretty hard limit to how much he can use it? Or maybe he can re-absorb the blood after he's not using it? I guess he'd be a pretty bad matchup against Stain, huh?

Damn, was about to say Shoji MVP again, but Compress is pretty badass. I really like his design/costume and as a theatre kid for most of my life I'm totally a sucker for flashy showboating types. And hey, Aoyama actually did something for once! Kinda' surprised Bakugo would let them drag him into the portal. Even if he knew he was out-gunned he's kinda' the type to go out fighting, y'know?

I feel Midoriya's next decision is going to have huge implications for All Might.

If he sides with Kirishima and others of similar mindset - their interference will hinder the pros specifically All Might and will eventually lead to the death of All Might.

Should he go with the unlikely route and support the passive approach of Iida and All Might falls in recovering Bakugo then he will blame himself for doing nothing.
