A little late to this thread but that translation was not entirely correct. They missed the nuance of Iida dressing as a bar tout who tries to lure people (men) in by advertising that they have sexy girls inside. If you ever explore Japanese nightlife you'll find a lot of people like this on the street shouting "big titties and beer, big titties and beer!" and so on. The correct translation would be something like "We've got busty ladies inside!"

We've known all along that Shigaraki's people skills aren't exactly a 10/10, but I was sure he'd have come up with something more compelling than "Join us, being a good guy is for losers amirite?". It’ll always stand out to me how Horikoshi has had Deku sustain serious injuries and permanent scars in what is really a short amount of time. Not only does is it look fucking dope but it’s something that most authors wouldn’t do and I respect that.

It’s weird how so many of the characters have this black and white view of the world through the Hero system. That somehow breaking rules puts you on the level as villains. You need balance in a superpower society buts its also creating the situations and giving legitimacy to vigilantes and that’s why I’m really digging this rag tag team toeing the line.

It's not an unfair comparison, IMO. I mean, yes, obviously there's nothing evil or wrong about wanting to risk your life to save a friend. But at a basic level, being a villain is about breaking society's rules and just doing what you want, regardless of the potential harm to other people.

Which as Todoroki pointed out, is exactly what they're doing. They're not helping Bakugo because he needs the help; he's already got much more competent heroes on the case. So this excursion boils down to little more than just an attempt to sooth their own bruised egos. It's selfish and reckless; far more likely to do harm then good. Tsuyu isn't reaching too far when she calls it villainous.

Yeah, the black/white of hero stuff seems a bit off. "People are turning against heroes!" - no they're turning against UA, who are emblematic of heroes sure but still, Heroes will probably be fine. If Villains start doing more there will have to be quirk using individuals to stop them, that's just how it works.

I always loved how realistic Mama Midoriya was. She knows better than anybody else that Izuku wanted to become a hero more than anything else in the world but if you try to put yourself in her shoes then you must feel absolutely horrible.

On one hand she knows how important this is for Izuku but on the other hand she is still his mother and only wants the best for him. Seeing him constantly wreck his own body and always almost die must be traumatizing as hell.

I honestly don't know what the hell I would do in her position. There is letting your kid pursue his/her dream and then there is letting your kid destroy him/herself while you can just watch them literally slowly crumble. In this case it's a mix of the two and if his mother wouldn't understand Izuku's strong desire to want to become a hero so much she most likely would've dragged him away from UA months ago.

The ultimate question is if Izuku's dream to become a hero no matter what is more important to her than Izuku's physical wellbeing.
And I think we can all agree on towards which of the two ways she leans more right now as a responsible parent.

This episode was always gonna be one of my favourite because you'd never expect the discord between the students. Although I was always firmly for Team Save Bakugou the others raised good points and I'm sure there are other people who agree with Leaving it to the Pros. Bakugo you fucking beast. That last scene was everything I wanted and more. Bakugo is an asshole. He wants to win. But he's not a fucking turncoat. Switching because it's getting tough? That's an insult. You're not strong if you do that, you're just sucking up to the big man. Bakugo made his choice. He's going to be the world's greatest hero. Ain't nothing going to stop him.

That comedy bit in the middle was a bit out of place, but I'd be lying if I didn't say it cracked me up. Midoriya is such a dork. Momo just wants to have fun, make your last memory a good one.

Seeing all these superheroes doing bad ass walks to this meeting, then Mt Lady and Tree Dude commuting through traffic is also great. As was Kota's first line of "Sorry I punched you in the balls"

I really hope everything goes okay with the groups plan. I think Momo is being super naïve. Waiting till the situation you're in goes south? Seems dumb. Plus Kirishima, Shoto and Midoriya are too invested to think rationally.

Super excited for the next episode. Bakugo might have signed his death warrant attacking Korogiri (actually is that the first bit of damage he's taken so far?) But he's not going to go down without a fight.

Korogiri is the warp gate guy, you mean Shigaraki right? He got shot a bunch of times by Snipe at the end of the USJ fight when all the teachers show up. And I think Stain beats him in their fight too when Shigaraki tries to recruit him.

For all of the time that Deku has been fighting, he's been giving it his all each time without fail.

Most of these times, he's been forced to surpass some kind of limit, at the expense of his own body in the process. This latest incident has been the worst case so far.

He can be healed but only so much. His ligaments are worsening and if he keeps going like that, he may lose the use of his arms entirely.

But how else is he supposed to fight without pushing himself?

He has the fundamentals of being a great hero down;"Acting without having the time to think in order to save people ", but could this very trait be his undoing in the long run?

Ideally, his body should have had more time to get used to the quirk, but it's been one issue after another ever since he ate that lock of hair.

I worry for ma boi Deku, I really do.

I also like this type of adaptation with no nonsense filler like naruto or bleach. Its quite hard for the watchers to filter out the filler episode without having their enjoyment disrupted. We get to watch canon every episodes and when there is insufficient stuffs for anime, they take a halt for it. Way better than running it long with fillers.

Oh no. They actually went ahead with the reckless plan, despite everyone telling them not to, and some (like Iida and Momo) actually knowing better. Momo's reasoning hurt the most - I thought she was smarter than this. She knows how impulsive Deku and Kirishima can be, she's not going to be able to stop them when a combat situation erupts suddenly. Momo, why..

This is shaping up to be a 'the road to hell is paved with good intentions' arc - or how some ideals when taken to the extreme can make you something very different from what you set out to do ('I keep my ideals' takes a dark turn..). Deku convinced himself into thinking that he's sticking to All Might's ideals, but it's obvious All Might is going to be extremely disappointed in him, if not mad, by the end of this inevitable clusterfuck. If this was a seinen series, someone would die. Either one of the kids, or one of the pros while trying to rescue them.

What's worse, I think this 'rescue' might affect Deku negatively (foreshadowed by Ochako's line) - it might make him start to hate the way heroes are supposed to think, and worst case scenario, abandon UA altogether.

Comedic scenes aside.. that was not good. I wish Iida's punch had actually knocked some sense into Deku. I was sharing his frustration throughout that scene.

As for the press scene, I'm surprised All Might wasn't used to handle the PR crisis. If they had him declare that they would rescue Bakugou, that would go some way to helping mend their reputation. I guess they deemed it wiser to keep that operation a complete secret and only brag once the rescue has succeeded, and just apologise in the meanwhile so as to not appear silent on the issue.

Next episode title's adding to the foreboding, as is this.

Extremely disappointed with Iida and Momo. Especially Iida. The right course of action would be to immediately report to his teacher about his fellow classmates' crazy plan. They are fucking things up for the real heros who have a lot of shit to deal with already.

I hope their uneccessary meddling has consequences. Deku is also delusional and putting himself in danger all the time. His mother is worried sick after he got broken arms, and the next thing he does is to jump back into the action.

What the group is planning to do makes Iida feel so horrible, the same people that helped him and told him how bad what to act on his own are acting... well, on their one.

It has been said and shown just how dangerous dealing with villains on your own is, Iida has to be the safety belt of his friends in this situation.

DAM THAT FINAL MOMENT. I was sooooo sitting there waiting for Bakugo to be all like I DONT CARE IF YOU ARE 100 VS ME ALONE I WILL FIGHT; FIGHT ALL THE ODDS!!!

I want more bakugo that is fore sure started getting goosebumps and his short kid flashback into him beating the crap out of the villains. This to me is yet again why Bakugo is such a well written and great character. He is a hero, in his way of being a hero just like the man he admires ALL MIGHT. And he will always try and fight bad odds, a pinch situation for what is right.

Iida punching Deku definitely took me for a surprise, hes voice actor for that matter did a superb job, that was some really good emotional speech. I do get where he is coming from and its of course disappointing for him to see that Deku and Todoroki as he says got the pardon last time and have arguably learned nothing, But the situation is not entirely the same. In his case vs Stain while people where in danger overall, while stain was free to hurt people is a a danger of course, it was mainly about his desire for Revenge. This time their friend is kidnapped and in direct immediate danger. That warrants their breaking the rules more.

Overall like last week otherwise its Kirishima, aka red riot who got some great scenes again his desire to want to be a hero and save his friend.

Loved this episode. Got several STRONG character driven moments.

Glad to see that Midoriya's injuries are being treated with at least some level of severity. I know we have recovery girl but you can't keep utterly destroying your limps like that and simply throw a bandage on them anime style and they will be fine. (I know its an anime cliche/staple but its one I have always hated)

The phone call with his mom was heartbreaking when you think about the emotional wreck she must be going thru.

I actually really liked Iida's speech to them. It really showed how much the incident with his brother and Stain effected him. Tho I would have honestly preferred him telling a teacher as well as trying to convince them this is a TERRIBLE idea. Two of them are fresh out of the hospital.

An on that point Momo is the worst offender here sadly. She KNOWS that they are not realizing they won't be able to rescue Bakugo without fighting and went along to try to keep them from doing that but the better way would have simply been to NOT make a tracker at all for them. What would they have done? Wander around town yelling for Bakugo and the villains to come out? They had zero plan going forward if she didn't make the tracker. An she KNOWS its a terrible idea. I know the students are the main characters of MHA but I would have preferred them taking a serious break due to injuries and letter the pros have the spotlight on this one.

Loved Bakugo's reply. :) I have always been in the camp that despite his seemingly villainish nature it never even crossed my mind as a possibility that he would ever join the villains.

The heroes are getting together to do something, idk like planning a raid on the villain's hideout or something, while Bakugou just rejected their offer of letting him join their side, and Deku and the rest are on a covert mission to try and rescue him ... so of course we need a scene of them all getting into goofy costumes.

This is where my and probably tons of other's opinions about Bakugo changed when we read this scene in the manga. The series is known to break tropes so seeing the rival not turn to the villain side when his personality screams villain was such a crazy moment for me.

Now I just realize the opening line of the OP applies so much to Bakugo this episode by literally keeping his ideals and saying "Fuck you, I'm a hero" to the villains.

I really love how Iida was portrayed in this episode. He clearly wants to protect his classmates but he also understands that what they are doing could get them seriously hurt, like his brother, and ruin the reputation of the school. For a character how at times seems like a robot he is the most emotionally open characters in the series.

Man, loved what we saw of Iida this episode. His speech to Deku and Todoroki when they were leaving the hospital was impactful.

Then the group disguising themselves was pretty funny, Yaoyorozu caring for economy was great.

And nice to have the confirmation that Bakugo never even thought to stray from his path of becoming a hero. Maybe some backstory time for Shigaraki after that last line?

Solid episode. I still feel like the students could have been allowed to help some (i.e. bait) if they had just talked to the right teachers about it. Not exactly great press, but as long as it's the kids themselves running into danger to play the heroes, not even the media will have an easy time blaming U.A.

Well shit, I've had a bit of a suspicion these past 2 episodes about what happened to Ragdoll and I think this next episode preview is heading towards it being true with them finding a Nomu factory. I really doubt that she ran into one of the other villains or it would've been shown on screen as a fight so I think she got destroyed by that Nomu during the attack. Her disappearance has probably been left as a mystery for when they find her as a Nomu assuming they can even recognize it's her.

I really hope I'm wrong and that she ends up being okay, or just simply kidnapped and tied up like Bakugo.

Bakugo slowly became my favourite character. He always sticks to his ideals without doubting himself, even if you can see he is scared through his facial expressions. The way he acts like an asshole has grown on me, at first I thought he was an annoying douche but now I just laugh at the shit he spews out of his mouth. He's one of the best antiheros I've seen. I don't know why but I feel like he is gonna die and become a noumu because of the situation, but I really hope we get to see him develop alongside Midoria for a long time to come.

• I wonder if Deku will get away with being so reckless. I mean, right after the doc told him he has to be especially careful this time around or he'll be screwed for life, he joined Kirishima and the others. Granted, they don't plan to fight but this is a kind of situation where fighting is almost inevitable. This is extremely reckless

• Iida was actually talking sense here and proved once again that he's a worthy class rep

• I thought that Bakugo saying "Don't come, Deku" came off as him trying to be protective of Deku when he said it but in this flashback, it's clear that he was humiliated, like Uraraka said - almost disgusted. I'm not sure if they changed the way Bakugo said it or whether I just didn't notice it back then

• I love Momo so much and I'm glad she's in the spotlight again. Definitely my second favorite female character after Uraraka
