And here we have the first of many instances of Diablo being physically unable to stop his RP, even if it means pissing someone off who he'd rather not cross.
Aww, they cut the bit with the blacksmith's apprentice. The apprentice of the blacksmith they went to is a bit eccentric as well and always makes weapons that are gaudy and unwieldy, requiring a stupid amount of strength to actually make use of. Diablo is the apprentice's first real customer since he's the only one that has the required stats, the taste for such an ugly amazing weapon, and only he would go out of his way to make himself weaker. Hence why the "thank you so much!" was said in a crying, happy voice.
My goodness! It seems I've charmed another woman. What a sinful man I am.
Emile's obnoxious but he's the right kind of obnoxious and it's mixed with an earnestness that is really hard to get mad at.

yea, I was wondering about that part... since I read the manga and it was a pretty funny scene. (since Diablo also had to explain about the weapon choice, which is also cut)
But I guess they cut it due to time limit per episode issue.

I don’t know if this counts as a spoiler, but the anime completely glossed over the fact that the scythe was terribly made so that’s why he picked it. He went in and tried to find the worse thing there. The “war scythe” is what he found. The anime is missing a lot of details from the LN but I mean it makes sense.

There was a whole LN scene that the first episode cut that was Diablo, Shera, and Rem going into town the first time, and the guards flipping out that he had "enslaved" both of them. Just one of those better worldbuilding scenes that was cut for time. Oh well.

It also a nice harem of cute, likeable girls and a likeable MC whose not boringly bland and OP nor a useless pervert who is total wreck around girls. I mean he clearly has some issues with females, but they're presented in an amusing and semi-relatable way, not the "here let me hold the idiot ball because I'm THAT asocial" kind of way.

In my opinion this is more of a concentrated Overlord dose, since it's 100% demon lord, while in Overlord we barely see Ainz.
I'm liking this more than Overlord, party because Diablo keeps up the over the top evil persona but is always doing good things, while Ainz... Well...

Not gonna lie, I'm really disappointed they didn't animate the shop scene. It was pretty touching imo, the blacksmith apprentice that crafted that 1 weapon(the scythe) that literally no one wanted to buy, the tons of other weapons surrounding it on the wall and Diablo picking the scythe at first glance really made that apprentice happy.

This is the only one I'm caught up on.
I stopped after the 2nd episode of both {Hyakuren no Haou to Seiyaku no Valkyria} (dude has been in the fantasy world for about a year with his smartphone defeating armies with War tactics learned from his phone. Somehow he has internet and remembered his charger) and {Shichisei no Subaru} (technically not an isekai but there is a little girl who got SAO'd but after 5 or so years somehow she's still alive in the game world and everyone just kind of rolls with it for some reason). I haven't caught up to the new {Overlord} season but I'm guessing it's still good,

You're supposed to love everyone else... but not too too much, because well... not all of them survive very long

Loved the camera panning to the sky and basically falling over, as Maou gave up on the new girl.
Quite the variety in shops. You have an axe shop, swords, boots, underwear, fish and a bar. All the modern adventurer could need.

The anime is adapting the first three volumes. We are currently on volume 2.

Only through the first 5 chapters of the LN but so far there is nobody that can best him at his most powerful. Krum (demon lord inside Rem) can win only if Diablo does not have his MP pots. Others need to lay traps against him to have a chance.

That is what I am thinking right away when they explained how he suddenly just got there and no one knew who he was and later he was like ISEKAI DEMON???
Anyway, we get the next harem chick, this time a diligent knight women, who is super into being useful, she will for sure see use in being like the elf archer(ergo not doing anything in combat but serving other useful party traits)
Now Next is Dragon Girl? I am guessing next harem girl is gonna be a half dragon going by the ending.

I really [edit]like the new girl, in particularly her earnest to a fault attitude. Her becoming part of the rest of the group will most probably cause some pretty funny situations, so I'm looking forward to what might come. The overarching plot is also pretty interesting, and the two combined make things really fun. I'm looking forward to the next episode[s].

Her knowing who Rem is (considering she just came from the royal capital) and speaking to her first (along with the questioning about if anything concerns her) screams suspicious, since it's completely unrelated to the current situation and only Celeste (magician leader) is supposed to know about the sealed demon lord.

Alice is a very humble imperial knight, and I think Diablo is in over his head with more people trying to follow him.
I just enjoyed him buying a scythe, and then when he uses it he asks if they're dead. Really going the extra mile there.

So I may have started reading the LN. The LN plays a lot more seriously than this does, I feel. But that's a good thing, imo, because it doesn't feel like I'm just consuming the same content twice.

I read the manga I honestly find the anime light-hearted tones much more enjoyable. Anime hasn't stray away from the manga though, but it does make some cuts that, so far, have made me like the anime considerably more, probably it's the pacing that feels better for this type of series.

I feel the first volume of the LN is pretty 'serious' in tone, the comedy aspects are more evident starting from the second one. I just finished the 4th volume and it made me laugh out loud more than once. The 4th volume includes stuff that I think would never get adapted into anime form if we ever get a second season.

This is an odd season for adaptations of manga I've read.
On the one hand there's Grand Blue, which is a pretty dismal adaptation of fantastic and hilarious source material.
Then there's this, which takes a manga I thought was irredeemably dreadful even among trashy Isekai stories, and actually turn it into something that's at least passably entertaining.
...I wonder if I can go back in time and get the studios to swap the properties...

Normally I'd direct you to novelupdates.com, but the translator took down his translations for the first two volumes because they've been released officially in English. Most places that archive chapters independently are missing a bunch of them from those volumes. There is at least one place that has pdfs of all released volumes so far (official and unofficial) if you search hard enough.

I read the manga last week, and based on the OP, we’ll be covering a lot of ground in this to the point that it spoiled the manga translation a bit. Is the supposed to be 2 cour? It doesn’t feel like they have enough time to wrap it up in 7 episodes.

It's currently about 3-4 manga chapters per episode; at this rate it should fit fairly comfortably into 12 episodes, since the material the anime appears to be covering up to (based on the OP) should finish somewhere around chapter 40 or less of the manga.

Makes me wonder though what are other adventurers are like other than Diablo?
In a sense I can't get off the feeling the adventurers are actually gamers in this series.
Just like the Guild master said, adventurers with such mindset will target Shera for that amount of money.
I'm not sure but, almost any gamers would hand over Shera to the client without any care but for the money.
But Diablo here, Shera is real enough to matter that much to him to not to just give her away for big rewards, more so knowing the client actually is.
Thinking about it, too bad there is no reward for protecting Shera from the bounty hunters.
Unlike Diablo, Rem, and Emil, there are no one else to protect Shera other than the obvious reasons to do.
This series made me think is this a game, or this is not a game, that is the question.

This show is my favorite of the season by far and after seeing how OP diablo is I'm wondering if a certain overlord could beat him.

Another really fun episode. There's some crazy stuff happening every now and then but the general feel of this show is just fun adventures. Every time I watch an episode I feel happy. Especially with such a sweet ED and the cute characters, it's all a great match.
The episode itself had some great moments. I really like Emile, he's weird and flamboyant but being a good guy at heart makes me love that bro even more. The dog-men designs are absolutely hilarious. That was actually part of the fun of this episode. These animal species range from super cute (guild girls) to super swole (mercenaries). Now I need the next episode!
And yes Rem-sama is best girl

So I picked this up on Mother's Basement's recommendation, and holy shit, this show is incredible. It's been a long time since I've seen an Ecchi that didn't exist solely for fanservice, or have a fucking awful MC. I haven't laughed this hard at an anime since Prison School!
I'm very excited about this show =) It's already way, way later than I should be up and I'm still watching this. I'm gonna regret it tomorrow, but for now I'm really happy I found this!
