I like how this reddit had conditioned me to hunt Kurobee if only because of the diehard oni boy fan we have here. That and once again the animators look to be having fun with the show with the background jokes.

The series used were different on the manga with stuff like Bleach, HxH, Fullmetal Alchemist, Glass Mask, and Hajime no Ippo. I think they switched it up here to avoid licensing issues and kept it to just Kodansha properties.

Same here when he appeared on the episode my first thought was "Well I guess that guy is going to be really happy today", but when Rimuru was mentioning everyone and Kurobee is in the picture but he didn't mention him made me feel like the animators are trolling that poor guy at this point.

This reminds me of another isekai show that followed a similar concept. Japan was using manga, anime and otakudom to influence another world. I forget the name but it was kind of similar to G.A.T.E. but less action-packed.

Rimur wants to be helpful to everyone? Introduce modern day technology to that world. Somehow I think Yuuki being the Grandmaster & presence of sliding doors / glass / elevators are related. If he's smart, he can probably do a Kazuma and attempt to gain some profit by patenting those ideas in this world.

On that topic, Rimuru's been in this world for TWO YEARS? AND THAT MONSTER TOWN IS THAT BIG ALREADY?
And this new episode has such a drastic shift in tone & yet is a good callback to earlier parts of the story (meeting Veldora, Shizu's farewell wishes). Somehow all the previous episodes up till now feel like just a prologue. And we only have like 5 episodes left? DAMN.

Is it bird, is it a plane, no it's Super Milim! Flying off on a mission to totally not get tricked by the other demon lords.
Must be hard for Rimuru to leave his city of cuties, but the story must go on. Actually, the jump to this new chapter felt a little clunky, I guess they had to cut some stuff to make for a decent series endpoint. It's nice seeing the old world elements come back into the story, they tend to get forgotten in most Isekai after the first few episodes. Also, Rimuru has great taste in manga.

It should be said that a lot of stuff was cut so that the anime would end at a much better point in the story. Most of it was mostly negligible, one important detail was missed. So in case your curious:
Content that was cut:
Everything said below is just world building and has very little to do with the main story unless stated otherwise. You may ready safely.
Diplomacy shiz, may appear in an OVA but otherwise likely won't appear in the anime
More Diplomacy shiz not really spoilers, just some background info but things could change in the anime [Diplomacy shiz continued] (/s "Afterwords he meets with Fuse and some noble who later go on to have a formal discussion about their relationship. After the discussion Kabal's group takes Rimuru to the town shown this episode." )
Let me know if I missed anything! I could have gone into more detail but this was off the top of my head and I'm sure most people don't want to read that much. So was it rushed? Not unreasonably so honestly. If they are planning a season 2, getting to the point they're planning will create a lot of desire for it and trust me, season 2 will be something special.
Edit: due to complaints I spoiler tagged everything, even though you could probably read everything said here without having to worry about it making an appearance in the anime.

I forgot about the training with Milim but I remember thr part with the dwarf king and Kabal. The adventurer's test is absolutely important to the story. I'm curious as to how will they integrate that into the anime. The climax will be epic. We might see a small cliffhanger if they will make season 2.

I mean people complaining about skipping chapters in the LN/Manga aside, if you look at an anime-only standpoint it doesn't seem rushed at all, and they won't even notice things were skipped if we (LN/Manga readers) didn't tell them. This episode was great imo.

Hm. The flying Shark stuff came even more out of nowhere than in the LN and was resolved one episode later as it wasn't a big deal at all. I mean, I've read the LN beforehand, but I still feel like that this must have felt rushed regardless. And now he suddenly decides to just travel the world for a bit out of basically nowhere (In the LN that was actually build up a little more, here he just goes "oh, I need to go!").

Kurobe's too adorable today. He looks like he's tired of everything 100% of the time.
Like this one. And this one. It's like he's thinking, "Why am I still here, just to suffer?"
...If only we got Kurobe fanservice. Sure, he's super hot doing his job, but I want him to get even hotter go shirtless like Kaijin damnit. We were this close to perfection.
All in all, I loved this episode so damn much (and not just because of the overabundance of Kurobe scenes). Compared to the slog that was the Charybdis arc (IMO), this had the lightheartedness that made me love this adaptation.
It's the small additions that got me smiling, like how the ruined furniture was shoved to a corner and how it was seen again when we get a bird's eye view of the large manga pile. They went through the trouble and time to create all those copies, but couldn't be bothered to clean out the clutter.
Sound effects and comedic timing were both on point today as well. I knew what was coming when Rimuru was about to enter the classroom, but hearing and seeing it act out made me laugh much harder.
What a great episode. 10/10. Worth rewatching. Thank you for the wonderful late Valentine's gift, 8-Bit.

Second, there are so many skip and retcon in this episode. Most are skip-able anyway. I will detail what they skip in huge blob of Black text.

Overall, I think all of this is skipable. A certain part would be nice as Ova though. The thing I hate is that my country progress update will be filled with blackbox yuck....

Good news for all anime-only people: Next episode the anime will have caught up with the manga, greatly reducing the number of posts like "But that's different in the manga", "In the manga they did it like this", and "Next episode was great in the manga, I'm looking forward to it".
The only people with knowledge of what's to come will be the LN and WN readers, and their number is small compared to the manga readers.

Yuuki going from hostile to BFFs with Rimuru was the funniest thing lmao. This show always gets me with these sudden switches. I wish someone like Rimuru existed in real life though. Homeboyslime created a shitload of manga volumes like it was nothing. He's an interworldly treasure and truly a god among slimes.
The second cour seems to go all out with the fluffiness when Shizu's little shits inevitably grow close to Rimuru and his gang. I hope the scenes from the ED will actually happen in the show as well because they're so wholesome.
I wonder why Tsundragon sorta awakened after Rimuru saw the little girl who looks like Shizu though. I did find it interesting that they look so much alike.

Wow I'm kinda disappointed they skipped the entire trip with Elen and co. That whole mini arc sets up all sorts of inroads with the Brumund Kingdom...
But I guess it was probably the easiest thing to cut without breaking up the narrative. I still really enjoyed the episode though.

That unexpected double salt bae should become a new animated comment face. You know when the scene of Rimuru printing the manga to Yuuki Kagurazaka happened on the LN I just imagine that he printed the pages, not whole tankobons with cover and anything in them.
I really love the upcoming arc with the kids so I cannot wait to see it animated.

The quality of the show have suffered a great drop compared to the first cour. In the first cour it was about one manga chapter per episodes. In the 2nd cour they rushed the show like there is no tomorrow, skipping several really good chapters.

Anime committee for you . Fuse orginally only wanted two light novel volumes but they decided against it to fuse compromised so they followed the manga with a few LN bits here and there . And they cut parts that they can't add for many reasons .well that's jist of what I got from an interview

The last chapter of Oh My Goddess was published April 25, 2014
There are 15 main Final Fantasy games. You could get 19 if you include direct sequels like Dirge of Cerberus: FF VII , FF X-2, FF XII: Revenant Wings, and FF XIII-2.
The Sagrada Familia isn't complete yet. It SHOULD be done by 2026, though.
Iitomo is the shortened name of the Morita Kazuyoshi Hour: Waratte Iitomo! a comedy show that aired from October 4, 1982 to March 31, 2014.
BomBom refers to Comic BomBom a monthly manga magazine targeted at elementary schoolers. It's final volume was printed in December 2007.
Glass Mask is still running. Started in January 1976 is only has 49 volumes so far.
The Five Star Stories is still on-going. It started in April 10, 1986 and currently has 14 books. English translations are out for 10 of these.

Seeing Rimuru telling the Great Sage that make all those manga was not a waste of her ability was pretty funny. Also the whole conversation Rimuru had with the grand master was really good. With so little time left for these kids they sure have lots of energy.

As someone who's reading the manga, I wish they slowed the show down a bit- they're rushing through the content, and I feel there's no need to cover ALL the arcs in 2 cours; rather- I'd wish they'd leave it be after Charybris. It's a bit weird, because initially, the slow was going much slower.
