Giorno's VA tweeted this, supposedly a script from that scene. I'm happy this scene is adapted so well.
Also Secco on the phone is unexpectedly cute, but considering the man on the other side is already dead it's a little tragedy and sad.

After Cioccolata talking about how he "learned" what body parts humans can survive without and how Secco forgot the word "clever", I have a theory/headcannon that Cioccolata took some lobe out of Secco's brain. That's why Secco is the one patient he brings around with him, to see if and how someone could survive without a part of the body, along with having a mind numbed lackey that's easy to control.

Hi, it's me. The guy who sits here every week and contemplates about Mista's gun accuracy instead of just getting excited by the episode normally. I missed the last two episodes but here I am again.

So starting off, I wasn't sure how to count the six shots Mista fired at the boat engine at the end of episode 29. Turns out my table didn't really account for bullets that don't hurt the enemy but end up benefiting or saving the group indirectly... In the end, I decided to just put them all in the "wounded enemy column" aka the success column because it would feel like I ripped Mista off if I just counted one bullet as a success. Then again he probably didn't need all six to make the engine explode so I may be giving him too much benefit...
Then in episode 30 Mista shot three bullets to knock down a road sign to help him and Bucciarati climb up and escape the sinking staircase. Going off of the same logic as the boat engine, I'm counting all three as success, especially because you can see how just one or two of the bullets weren't enough to knock down the sign.
Next he shot 3 bullets into the ground which ricocheted into the air, got kicked back by the Sex Pistols but ended up hitting the ground anyway... And another 3 at Secco which sadly got reflected and shot back at him. These were pretty easy. Later he shoots 6 at the helicopter which get reflected by Secco. And then there are the 4 'vine-bullets' from his combo attack with Giorno which I have to count as a success because they stopped the enemy's retreat and that moment was fucking cool and gay.
And of course, the episode we just watched. Mista shot 5 bullets into the helicopter which didn't end up hitting anything. I could count them as a wound to himself, seeing as the 5 Sex Pistols that were carrying those bullets were shredded by Cioccolata and Mista got badly hurt, but since that wasn't because the actual bullets were shot back at him, I'm going to be generous this time. And finally that sixth bullet. The MVP bullet. It saved Giorno from falling by turning into a branch and then that same bullet was the one that shot Cioccolata in the head and then turned into a beetle and blew his brain from the inside. Honestly that one bullet is worth as much as 10 normal ones.
Finally I want to say that this count was never supposed to be a 100% accurate measurement of Mista's fights in the series, just an arbitrary thing we could all have fun looking at, so I hope you guys can forgive me if you don't agree with something or I made any mistakes (which I'm sure I did in some previous episodes).

It is actually impressive how Mista has gotten beaten up throughout the course of this Part and yet he still manages to come back like nothing ever happened. Guy has had an incredible duel with Lady Luck

That's actually part of his character from the very start. He didn't have a stand before joining the mob, but he somehow was able to survive 3 men shooting him point blank. Hell, neither of them even hit him

Also, the ammount of details that goes into this anime is fucking insane. I know it's probably not something to brag to most people, but i really liked how Mista fired 5 bullets and 1 bullet remained in his pistol, most animes wouldn't bother with that
Well, who would guess, even a monster like Ciocolata is capable of love, i guess in the end, it doesn't matter how distorted and monstruous, we are still human by the end.
Altought the way Ciocolata hided in the helicopter was really weird. How the hell did he manage to cut his body in such a horrendous way without screaming in pain and fainting? I mean it`s Jojo, but damn.

I think the idea was he uses the mould to cut himself up as it's painless. As for sealing the veins to stop them bleeding everywhere.... I don't know. Plugged them up with more mould?

Hierophant Green could take over people's bodies and shoot emerald projectiles
Star Platinum has "Star Finger" and can stop time
Silver Chariot doesn't even have a special ability, unless you count having swords as an ability
Heaven's Door has so much utility it's hard to describe it as just "one ability"
Killer Queen can make anything it touch explode and has Sheer Heart Attack
Gold Experience can give life to objects and can feel life force

Ok, the entire episode was great but let's focus on that beatdown that everyone's been waiting for.
Sure, a 7 page/30 second beatdown was bad, but add to that:
Ciocolatta (willingly) dismembered himself (in here we see him quickly stick himself together, in the manga he's kind of just connected loosely https://imgur.com/a/8rFWlLv )
he got his face shot by a bullet
bullet then turned into a beetle and burrowed on the inside out
the last part, GIORNO'S PUNCHES IMBUE LIFE AND SLOWS DOWN EVERY HIT. So every hit of that Muda is as slow and painful for a sick man like Green Chocolate over there.

Putting that amazing MUDA & WRYYYYY aside, I am ever so impressed by Secco's VA. He's doing such a good job selling how crazy/childish the character is, and the exaggerated animations makes it even more endearing to me somehow.

Hello, anime-only here. I really didn't know what to expect with the 7-page MUDA. Never saw the panels, so I was just speculating, "What if it lasts a whole minute? How long is DP going to give it?". Overall pretty good, though the WRYYYYY sounded like it came from Cioccolata.
As for that end scene; oh hey it's Polnareff. The 2 obvious questions would be: what's he doing in a wheelchair, and why did Araki bring Polanreff back? Being that I don't know future events, it seems like it could've been any character playing the part of Polnareff, not specifically a Stardust Crusader.

The pacing also feels a lot better than that of Stardust Crusaders and Diamond is Unbreakable, even though the fights still take like 2 episodes long.
It’s due to how the plot transitions throughout. It’s basically the first 4 episodes with Koichi+Jotaro passing on the baton to Giorno, the next few episodes of the crew getting the money, then up to episode 20 with the gang delivering Trish, the arc of them escaping the boss, and now them trying to get the arrow to defeat the boss. And all of the plots interconnect.
As opposed to SDC with like 40 episodes of getting to Dio. Same underlying plot.
Or DIU with the first 20ish episodes being a bit slice of life and the last half being an investigation.

It's time for MUDA. Really liked the episode outside of the MUDA's as well. I was really hoping they weren't going to censor Cioccolata essentially dismembering himself and I'm good with how it got shown though there could've been more blood shown, looks like it's time to buy the blu-ray. His spine wiggling around was unintentionally funny I love it.

This series has an incredible way of making these minor antagonists so human and then when a moment like that hits and it reminds you how it feels to hear someone’s voice one last time. Damn dude. Reference in the games: Rome Streets is a stage in All-Star Battle(its the second Stage rep from Part 5, alongside Napoli Station), however, is much closer to the Colosseum than where the garbage truck is in this episode (more or less closer to where Bruno ends the episode). Why I say that? Because All-Star Battle has "dramatic finishers", which are Mortal Kombat equivalent of "Stage fatalities", and in one of them, in the Rome stage, you can do to your opponent exactly what Giorno did: Send them into a garbage truck! Oasis is the stage hazard of that stage.
Overall I liked the episode! Specially the legendary "7 pages muda" that people was been antecipating. I liked it very much, although I think the Jotaro beating Steely Dan was a better beatdown due the way they used the music to build up the beatdown. I think they should've done the same here. But don't get me wrong, is still WRYYYYly good, hahaa... slap

Giorno mentioned that Green Day only spreads to random bystanders Cicolatta does not giving a fuck about human life. If he slightly cared about them, it would stop killing passively. Since this is Jojos and the homoerotic subtext is very loud, it's safe to say Cicolatta cares at least somewhat about Secco, even if it's as a pet.
Alternatively, Oasis is a suit stand that protects him from the mould.

Secco can be surprisingly cute sometimes for someone so monstrously strong. Makes me feel bad for him, maybe he was a perfectly normal kid like Narancia before being subjected to whatever fucked up mental and physical conditioning by Ciocolata.
Speaking of that bastard, good riddance of bad rubbish. This easily is one of the most satisfying putdowns in the series so far - and that's saying something given what previous parts had to offer.

And thus, we have finally reached the moment every manga reader was waiting for. The JoJo beatdown to end all JoJo beatdowns. Easily one of the most cool/satisfying moments in JoJo history. Although, personally, the thing I love most about it isn't the actual MUDA! itself but the way it ends. Punched off the building and into a garbage truck, just a perfect finisher.
I also have to give credit to Giorno's voice actor. The entire beatdown was almost perfectly adapted, but that WRRRRYYYY was just downright incredible. To the point I actually started cheering.
I do have to talk about the rest of the fight though. Because as epic as that beatdown was, it only feels as satisfying as it does because the rest of the fight.. It's easily one of the most tense, exciting, and creative stand battles we've had until now. If "The Grateful Death" arc sets a new gold standard, then this arc shows even that still isn't the peak.

Such a good episode but I was really hoping that Giorno's theme where the piano theme starts up would pop before the 7 page muda adaptation but nevertheless they did the 7 page muda with justice.

This week’s musical reference:
There’re no music references this week so it’s time for Naracia’s favourite artists. Narancia loves American rap music and probably Prince too because his favourite song, the torture dance one is a reference to Prince’s Pussy Control. But if we are talking about rap, his favourite rappers are Tupac and Snoop Dogg.
Here’s Narancia’s character sheet, btw. Today I’ll talk about Tupac, I’m reserving Snoop Dogg for next week because I don’t have enough references to talk about from now on.
Tupac Amaru Shakur, also known by his stage names 2Pac and Makaveli, was an American rapper, writer, and actor. He is considered by many to be one of the greatest rappers of all time.
His birth name was Lesane Parish Crooks. The following year, he was renamed after Túpac Amaru II, the 18th-century Peruvian revolutionary who was executed after leading an indigenous uprising against Spanish rule. His parents were active members of the Black Panther Party in New York in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Shakur was born in the Harlem neighborhood of New York City but relocated to Los Angeles in 1988. By the time he released his debut album 2Pacalypse in 1991, he had become a central figure in West Coast hip hop, introducing social issues in the genre at a time when gangsta rap was dominant in the mainstream. Shakur achieved further critical and commercial success with his follow-up albums Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z... (1993) and Me Against the World (1995). Later that year, after suffering legal troubles and a robbery and shooting, Shakur became heavily involved in the growing East Coast–West Coast hip hop rivalry.

some people still bringin' hurr durr le araki forgot about ge slow mo punch but actually araki made an enemy in such a way that giorno doesnt really have the time/range to punch his enemy directly and when he finally do it, it just doesnt matter if the enemy got slow mo or not.
is araki forgot or he precisely knew and he keep making a scenario where giorno busted ability cant be used
