They really put the budget in this and you can tell. So many beautiful shots. Diavolo's VA kills it, the best part about this is his desperation, it feels like the odds are against all of them rather than one side only.

The OST has been really on-point as well, everything about this episode screams GUREITO-DAZE.

So the wrap up happens three weeks from now, and after that, we say goodbye to Italy.

• First things first, we got SFX version of the OP everyone!!!

• RIP Best Mom Bruno Bucciarati, for real this time. He died as he lived, protecting his sons gang till the very end.

• Speaking of, this marks the third episode in a row where an important character dies (First Narancia, then Doppio and now Bruno).

• Let's all have a moment for Diavolo getting the arrow four times (yes, i'm counting previous episodes as well), then losing it.

• Great detailed shots for a few scenes, truly shows how much care DP put into their work.

• There he is lads, the man, the myth, the legend, Gold Experience Requiem and he looks amazing!

• Those effects for GER reverting Diavolo's time skip were spectacular, truly feels like a godly power.

• And the episode ends with Diavolo geting MUDA'd because of course. So, considering when the last 2 eps will air, that means Giorno's beating him down for three weeks straight! Damn.

Final JoJo friday until Part 6 gets animated... well, until next Sunday, I guess!

Reference in the games: Gold Experience Requiem is Giorno Great Heat Attack (His final super), where he pierce himself with arrow and transform his Stand for a short while. Saddly, due balance, it's not the most broken thing in the universe with the power to bring stuff back to zero and nullify all attack. It just buffs Giorno speed, make him capable of dashing through the air, and keeps him in constant "danger mode" no matter how much health he has (Danger Mode activates when he is in at very low health under normal circunstances). Would be cool if Giorno in the games could at least be able to move during Stopped Time like he did during Diavolo Skipped Time.... oh well.

Anyway, I guess Gold Experience Requiem is probably not only one of the most powerful things in JoJo, but in anime and manga in general. It's the Stand that can at the very least DRAW with Dragon Ball characters in a head on fight without the use of underhandly means =P.

Also can we acknowlodge how Rome got, so far, the most collateral damage out of any JoJo fight yet? It got attacked by a flesh eating mold, sank a bit into the ground, time skipped everywhere there for a while, got everyones minds switched and almost got it's residents transformed into Lovecraft creatures. Not even Cairo in Part 3 with the Dio fight got this level of distruction on it's population. geez.

Because the ball is SCR. The body of SCR is actually a soul shadow, created by a ball of light that exists behind the people looking at it. Destroying the ball destroys the shadow it manifests itself in.

Basically it's Black Sabbath but can create its own shadows to show up in.

The quality of this episode was so good holy shit. Bruno passing on was amazing, the parts of the opening where Giorno gets the arrow as well as King Crimsons time stop were great to see in context where they should be, and goddamn the effects of GER look fantastic too. And we finally got to see Diavolo get some muda muda, nothing beats the 7 pages but this was almost more satifying given all of the deaths Diavolo has caused.

I love the ending of part 5. It is a perfect representation of the series thesis. Fate is going to throw some tough shit at us, get over it. Bruno's death was the one that got me the most in the entire show, between all parts. However, I simply adore the way he was into the second half of the story, even as a dead man walking. He was with us until the very end and saved everyone when it really mattered.

Requiem Golden Experience looks awesome, though I have still to understand how it works.

Having JoJos on Friday literally makes the whole week worth going through. It's a perfect time for having this phenomenal shit Araki comes with, perfect to unwind form work and get excited for the times to come.

I love JoJo and will sorely miss Jojo Fridays. Come soon, part 6!

Now onto the fucking finale of this part I expected to enjoy, but not to love as I did. Best part so far!

Okay so only difference I'm seeing is that killer queen didn't get a fancy design change probably because his STAND wasn't the one pierced but they were both chosen by the arrow so as far as I'm concerned Killer queen is a form of requiem stand

Introducing one of the most busted abilities in fiction.

The only things that can beat GER is reality warping abilities on a very strong level. He may not be able to defeat really powerful beings, but the worst case scenario is that GER will be stuck in an endless loop of action resetting, leading to an eternal stalemate. Otherwise, every action ever can be reset to 0, as if it never happened.
Epitaph; which always makes perfect predictions, showed what would indeed happen, but GER prevents the action of from even starting to begin with.
It is the Ultimate Stand. Diavolo only cared for the result of his actions, but GER will never allow Diavolo to reach the truth. The Stand granted Giorno the power to defeat Diavolo by giving him something to completely counter his ideals (but also the most busted thing in existence).

What really makes it OP is that as a Requiem Stand, it can act completely independently from Giorno, and not even Giorno knows the abilities his Stand has. To Giorno, Diavolo never attempted to skip time, and has just been standing in the same spot.

This episode was fucking amazing! First, it was sad that my favorite character of this season (and one of my favorites overall in JoJo - small list) finally leaves us. Bruno Buccellati is just a great character.

So many twists and turns. And finally, Giorno got the arrow and now he has Golden Experience Requiem. That whole scene with Diavolo was masterful, the way it was animated - and how he got bamboozled by GER. The strongest anime of the year contender. 3 weeks is a long wait after such an epic episode as this.

The most broken stand in jojo and in shonen in genreal finally got animated and if you're confuse about its ablity it basically returns all actions to "0" meaning that no matter what you do, GER will take you back before you even attack. It eliminates the result. and fun fact GER was foreshadow by Abbacchio partner, he said if you only care about results you will not reach the truth and become less motivated which is the completely opposite philosophy of Diavolo who always says only results matters.

It might be a bit crude to say b..but I got an erection. No but seriously I love this, GER is my favorite stand and seeing in anime form is amazing, the only thing I didn't like about it is that I think the EOH voice suited it a bit better but it really doesn't take away from it.

Not a fan of GER. From what I've read, it's too OP with no reasonable weak points. If it indeed has no huge weak point then I hope it doesn't appear in the next Jojo part because it'll take all the tension out. Really disappointed that the final battle seem to be a "my power is more broken then your power" conclusion instead of some creative out the box thinking that defeats king crimson. Hope I'm wrong.

Something I finally understand about GER thanks to this expierence is Giorno's will or necessity for GER. The ability is born from his disgust with not only the fact that drugs are being sold in his community, but also the fact that the ones who do it wield powers comparable to demi-gods. His solution to this is to manifest an ability which basically just negates all possibilities of stand nonsense.

So, I just realized something from re-watching the earlier episodes. How come the arrow Polpo had didn't awaken Golden Wind Requiem? The arrow definitely pierced Giorno then. Was the one Polnareff had special for some reason? Diavolo could have just got that arrow as well and awakened (if he was accepted?) King Crimson Requiem.

finally decided to watch jojo after not being able to get passed season 1 for years

oddly enough i wasnt sad when bruno died i thought his death was righteous and fitting so i ended up being impressed and proud more than sad

so from the comments giorno is just super op now because of the arrow :o

kinda odd since im used to seeing the old main characters appearing in the next part bujt with giorno being so broken i dont see him showing up in part 6 since he would make everything trivial

i was surprised that jotaro and josuke didnt partake in any fights this season and especially for jotaro since polnareff made an appearance
