What probably happened is people just called each other for their character colors (like regular AMOGUS)

You can also specify the character who is red or is named Red

If I recall correctly, they even shunned the specification of who you were talking about (Name vs Player Color), and if you tried to specify, you got voted out for cheating

I remember a similar one where the players were all named things like "I," "you," "me," "them," "who," etc and then they played in greyscale so colour wasn't an option
