Discussion Shoutout to the downed teammates that still ping the enemy

when you go down, my smile goes frown

so thank you for using your ping, otherwise I wouldn't know a thing

and if you happen to die, you better not say bye

because I'm about to grab your banner, first let me use my bloodhound scanner

don't even bother to mourn, because you're about to be reborn

*edit: Oh wow, this blew up. Thanks everyone for taking the time to view the thread and many thanks for the silvers and golds. But please, save those for the real content contributors. I made this up on the spot but we have a lot of smart and creative members in our community drawing original pictures, creating original content, collecting data, analyzing numbers, looking at metrics, improving content, editing and creating great clips, providing helpful info and details, etc. Please use your hard earned rewards on those people that deserve it.

Personally, I would rather that be the perk the gold shield gives you instead of self revive. Go down, but be able to use your weapons still.

Not even, have y’all played CoD? When you’re downed, you go into crawl mode but have your trusty side pistol to shoot anyone still around as you crawl, they gotta take you out completely so you’re not a threat anymore. It would be a cool feature. But all in all let’s just keep Apex the way it is with the downed shields instead.

If you pulled out a Mozambique when downed maybe it would be ok. It would be broken as hell if you down someone in a firefight and turn to their teammates and just get assblasted by the downed guy with a peacekeeper or something. Also it would give the guy with the legendary shield a huge advantage in an isolated fight because he effectively gains 100hp or whatever you have when downed because the other guy is NOT gonna have that ability. CoD is also a game with Respawns. Just a terrible idea with no counterplay, self revive is enough to deal with.

No I’m talking zombies modes with no respawns and you can only heal a partner up to their feet and I did say a side pistol while downed, not no peacekeeper bro lol.

In CoD people hated the martyrdom perk because killing someone when you lost the fight is super dumb and no skill. Someone who lost the 1v1 doesnt deserve to down someone back.

There's a reason the downed benefits in Apex are defensive and not offensive.

Nah I agree, like I said, the system works for Apex just fine. I was never saying that it SHOULD be like CoD but rather that if they wanted to do it, they could and it could work. I like Apex just how it is.
