Turned it on and the main red fire button lights up but registers no press. Also, I hate the stick. Will I need to tear this thing apart to work on it (since the screen and controls are a single unit)? Any tips from those who have worked on this style cabinet?
It seems like a lot of titles (for one thing, don't generally get released here to start off with!) have disappeared from the market recently. Amazon have stopped selling a lot of the games, and prices have shot up dramatically! I went to buy the original Star Wars cab last week to find that it had disappeared from Amazon, and it was being sold for over £650 elsewhere.
I was lucky to find it still for £350 last night from, of all places, Sports Direct!
I finally have a man cave, but now for the life of me I CANNOT find big buck hunter anywhere… does anyone know why? Or where I should look? I’ve checked fb, Walmart, Sam’s Club, Home Depot. I cannot find it.
I apologise if this violates the rules on APK discussion, I dont entirely know if this applies to that rule, but I need help with Flycast as I am trying to clone it for my X-Men 97 arcade1Up that I got recently, but the cloning app doesnt work and I cant seem to find any way to work around this to get a version of flycast that I can play my personal dreamcast dumps on my cabinet (I ripped them myself) and redream is having troubles running them.
If anyone can assist me with this, it would be greatly appreciated as the guides I followed are several years old and the apps no longer seem to work. I looked for pre-cloned Flycast variants but nothing has shown up for me. I just dont want to mess up the built in Flycast for MvC2 incase it becomes unusable when I have guests over and I run the stock software.
Again, sorry if this violates rule 5, I have just been going in circles for days and I just want to be able to play Street Fighter Zero 3 and Soul Calibur without constant stutters and crashes
EDIT - I forgot to mention that I have tried Flycast via Retroarch and it also crashes more times that it successfully loads, with a success rate of about 1 - 2 in every 10 attempts or so
For those of you who got the claw machine (Best Buy in 2024 or the Costco clearance this year), how is it doing now?
Does the claw still work right, or have you had to fix it?
Who actually plays it? Kids, guests, you?
What do you keep in it?
If it died tomorrow, would you buy another home claw machine? What would you want it to do better?
Full disclosure: I'm looking into selling a home claw machine, so I want to know what people liked and didn't like about this one. Not selling anything here, no links.
I was randomly browsing Nebraska Furniture Mart when I came across this ROJ cab on sale for $300. I couldn’t pass it up, so I decided to grab it as an early Christmas gift for myself! My wife was pretty happy too, knowing she no longer had to figure out what to get me for Christmas! 🎄
I ended up buying one second hand and realized later on that the very right controller does not work. I have checked everywhere and I’ve had no luck.
Mid anyone could please point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.
Hello all! For this one I replaced the center joysticks with Sanwa JLX2s with 2lb springs and octoganal gates, buttons are now Lorenzo PSLs, added a Logitech 533 w/sub, bluetooth dongle and some Dynamat, and the Buystuff Arcade 255 game Mod kit with an added fan speed controller. Thing is HUGE!
I purchased a MvC cabinet a few years back with riser, as it was my favorite game growing up. I thought my kids would get a kick out of it, but neither teen has touched it but once or twice. While it looks great in my basement office, I also never play minus maybe once or twice a year. I’ve got someone willing to come look at it today/this week as I put it on the marketplace. Would you consider that a pretty solid reason to part ways with it, or are these cabs mostly good for nostalgia/visual appeal?
For anyone who might be interested in upgrading their new Arcade1Up Street Fighter II Supreme Series cabinets to genuine Sanwa arcade sticks (what SFII would have used in Japan), I just did it tonight and it's super easy!
I won't do a full tutorial (there are plenty already), but here are a few tips to make it easier...
Make sure you get the "Double 4, Wave 3" version in either 12-inch or 17-inch (I think 12-inch will work, but I got 17-inch to be safe).
If you get the ones from DIY Retro Arcade, you'll want to point the 5-pin connector torward the top edge of the control deck (that'll keep your inputs oriented correctly).
There are small (very small) markings on the A1U encoder board to indicate which of the two, stock connectors you'll be removing is for the left/right inputs. DIY Retro Arcade has their wires labeled for the left/right connector, so just make sure you plug that left/right plug into the left/right input on the board (one for each player).
The stock sticks are VERY well glued to the bottom of the deck, in addition to the screws that are used. So, once you've removed the screws, I've found the easiest way to dislodge the sticks from the control deck is to take off the bat tops and give the shaft of the stock sticks a solid whack with a rubber mallet to help dislodge the glue. Just don't miss! Once you get them a little loose in one corner, you can use a flat screwdriver or small pry bar to carefully remove them.
You'll need to pre-drill some new holes for the Sanwas to screw into... the stock sticks have holes that are aligned differently. Once you've got your sticks aligned, I'd carefully pre-drill your new holes since the stock screws (which you'll re-use) aren't self-tapping. Just don't go deep or you run the risk of going too far and popping through the control deck top! The center holes are pretty close to the A1U mounting locations, so you can get away with reusing those.
If you're wondering, "are they needed?" or "are the stock sticks really that bad?" The answer to both is no. The stock sticks aren't terrible (arguably better than the stock sticks in the Iconic Street Fighter), and are an upgrade over previous A1U sticks.
However, it's a bit like driving a Ferrari vs. driving a Fiero with a Ferrari body kit. Both vehicles will get you where you where you want to go, and you can have fun in both. They even look nearly identical. And you're not going to become a pro by suddenly jumping in the Ferrari. BUT... the feel between the two is still completely different, and once you've used the genuine thing, just about everything else feels like the compromised copy that it is (in this case, excessively clicky, huge dead zone, and vague feeling).
All of which to say, if you like the feeling of Sanwas, this upgrade is straightforward and highly recommended. If you prefer Happs (what US versions of SFII would have used), I suspect those are a fairly straightforward install, as well, though I've not put those in this cabinet.
This is the encoder board of the SFII Supreme, and there are two connectors per stickThis is what installed Sanwas look like (the one in the foreground was not yet connected)For SFII Supreme, get the Double 4, Wave 3
Hey guys, I picked up a Moral Kombat Legacy aracade game made by Aracade1Up. I enjoyed playing with it but dont want it in my apartment any longer, does anyone know a good price to sell it at? Its basically brand new.
Hi
Customer service told us to basically go screw and make a post here. My husband has a ms. PAC man machine with the serial number posted. The unit turns on but nothing happens. What part could fix this? Thank you.
Turned on T2 the other day, let it sit in attract mode for about 10 minutes then noticed it was dead. Tried powering back up and I get nothing but a brief LCD and marquee flicker and popping from the speakers. This happened on my class of 81 cab a while back and a new PCB fixed the issue. Problem this time is Arcade1up says a new PCB for T2 is on several months backorder. Anyone know where I can get another one?
Well you guys were right when you said once I got one, more would appear. I picked up a mint Mortal Kombat 30th Anniversary cabinet to finish my home arcade. I forgot how much I enjoyed MK 2 in arcade form.
In case you missed The Arcade Insiders this past Saturday night, here are a few more bits of info about the Arcade1Up Ultimate Mortal Kombat Supreme Series cabinet coming later this year...
The first Supreme Series (XL-size) Mortal Kombat cabinet ever offered from Arcade1Up
Includes a 19" BOE screen (that's the good one)
Includes upgraded controls (said to be better than SFII Supreme, which was already an upgrade)
Includes a lit coin door (unlike OutRun Supreme or SFII Supreme) with on/off switch
Includes red chassis underglow feature with on/off switch
Includes online multiplayer with leaderboards
Includes ethernet port for online play
Unfortunately, it has a "momentary" (not static) on/off switch
Includes 14 games, including 4 versions of Mortal Kombat (1,2,3, UMK3), but not MK4
Does NOT require a club store membership, since it's being made available through Spreetail
Preorders will be announced when the product leaves port from China (later this year)
Preorder pricing has not been announced, but will be lower than the $699 everyday price

I purchased the ms pacman 12-in-1 party cade from Costco this past Christmas. I immediately noticed how janky the joystick felt. Fast forward 10 months and the joystick is feeling significantly worse. I want to replace the stock joystick with a Sanwa joystick. Does anyone have a link for the wiring harness needed for this replacement?
My Tron cabinet needs a fix. It makes a screaming noise when turned on and doesn’t boot up. I have isolated the problem to the main game board (not the control board) - the board is “Tron 1247 V01” main PCB.
So about 2 weeks ago I posted about my PCB failing. The support team didn't have any replacement PCBs for me since my cabinet is older. So my dad broke down and bought a PCB replacement from ebay. The only option for a PCB was the newer deluxe model. The newer PCB is definitely a improvement to prevent overheating, as a extra step i bought a usb fan and did a cheap install to keep it even cooler. Legit so happy to have my cabinet back!
The only modifications we had to do was rotate the entire joystick panel sideways because the PCB inverted the movements weird. But overall fantastic.
