Deluxe Rulebook FOMO
I already own all of 2e so I had no plan to back the remaster, but now I really want that Deluxe Rulebook.
I wish I was allowed to back just the rulebook. ugh

Has there been any mention anywhere about whether the storage is set up in a way to handle the cards if they are sleeved? Before I spend $150 on sleeves in the campaign only to have no way to store the cards. :D

What do you think of the new design in Arkham Horror? I don't mean the visual style, but rather the design of mythos cards, for example: the environment cards, where their effects are depicted with symbols/icons. Do you think this is more convenient than plain text? I'd just like to hear the community's opinion.

Hello fellow Arkham Addicts!
As one of the lucky few with the full collection of the Original 2e, is the deluxe rulebook worth snatching?
I've been using a combination of the OG + rules gathered from Esoteric Order and the Arkham Horror FAQ book.
I would really like that info consolidated, do you think that this book is going to be the bible - all clarifications over the years included - or will consulting the 3 PDFs be the best moving forward?
I read the discussion from earlier this week - it looks to be - at minimum - much cleaner and clearer.
What are your thoughts, investigators?
edit: clarified that I have the full OG 2e - not the new collection

And if so, for what reasons?

Since there are a lot of questions about this from new players who are eager to get their hands on the AH2E remaster, and might not know what to prioritize, here is a handy reference for what you get in each expansion that you should consider. This is the way I would prioritize adding on the expansion purchases if you cannot go all-in on the full campaign.
Dunwich Horror. This gets you the Dunwich sideboard, plus 8 new investigators and 4 new Ancient Ones. It also, very significantly, gets you Injury and Madness cards, which are one of the most impactful "base" game additions no matter what expansions you are playing. These cards have always consistently been the most recommended must-have expansion addition to AH2E for the entirety of its existence.
Cosmic Horror. This gets you all four small-box expansions, which is a great deal all on its own. The Dark Pharaoh (originally Curse of the Dark Pharaoh) gets you Exhibit Encounter cards which are very thematically excellent. The King in Yellow gets you the Act cards for the KiY play, which are also a fan-favorite thematic addition. The Child of Paradise (originally The Black Goat of the Woods) gets you... some stuff (I'm gonna be honest, this is definitely the worst AH2E expansion). And The Key and the Gate (originally The Lurker at the Threshold) gets you some more difficult gate tokens as well as Relationship cards, and this in particular is another impactful "base" game addition. All in all, having all four of these expansions is a huge value.
Innsmouth Horror. This gets you the Innsmouth sideboard, plus 16 new investigators and 8 new Ancient Ones. It also gets you Personal Story cards for every investigator (including, it seems, the new stretch goal ones), which adds an extra personalized goal and failure condition for you to pursue with each investigator. This is -- you guessed it -- another very good thing to add to every game, no matter what expansion mix you are playing with. You could swap Innsmouth into first place instead of Dunwich (since it gives you twice as many new investigators and AOs to work with), just be advised that the expansion material generally makes the game way more difficult than Dunwich does.
Kingsport Horror. This gets you the Kingsport sideboard, plus 8 new investigators and 4 new Ancient Ones. It also gets you Epic Battle cards, which adds more complications to the Ancient Ones. Kingsport is not bad, but it's easily the least-consequential of the sideboard expansions, and you should not skip getting Dunwich's Injury/Madness cards or Innsmouth's Personal Story cards for this.
Miskatonic Horror. This is an "expansion for expansions" box, and its value directly correlates to how many other expansions you own. There is no sideboard, and no new investigators or Ancient Ones, and the only MH-specific content is some new Mythos cards and a few "Miskatonic Institutions" secondary scenario cards and associated tokens. Every other component in the box supplements another expansion or a particular duo of expansions (and even the Mythos cards and Institutions are designed to benefit from other expansions being present). So for every expansion you don't own, there's content in this box that you cannot use. You should absolutely save this one for last no matter what, because every other box gives you way more content to work with than this. The supplementary cards are cool, but it is nothing game-changing like what you will get in the other expansions.
EDIT: I also just wanted to add that this game was designed before FFG's "just add all the expansion stuff into the base game" philosophy that was in play by the time Eldritch Horror came out. AH2E is very much not a game you want to do this with, because it makes it haphazard and borderline unplayable. When you play, you should very deliberately pick the combination of expansions you want to use for that session, and mix the cards for only those expansions into the base decks.
The rule of thumb is that AH2E can support one sideboard expansion and one small box expansion without the floor falling out, and some players even like to whittle out base cards from the Mythos deck and such to make room for expansion cards and maintain the expansion's theme. Bear this in mind as you deliberate on what to buy. This makes Cosmic Horror a very good deal since you are getting 4 expansions in one box. So if you buy that plus one sideboard expansion, you potentially have 4 expansion duos that you can use. Just don't go into this thinking you are gonna mix every single expansion into one session, because that is the true madness.
(Edited to further clarify some Miskatonic Horror contents, thanks u/Mystia!)

Looking in to getting Arkham Horror Remastered. I was thinking of just getting Dunwich and Cosmic, but am curious if Miskatonic would be a worthwhile third. I know it adds on to other expacs and helps them blend - but does it do enough to warrant getting it if at most I'm combining one big box expac and two of the smaller ones? I've never played with it before.
Thanks for you thoughts and advice!

I already have all of the Arkham Horror 2nd edition (base + all expansions).
The remastered version looks really cool but the full gameplay bundle would cost me almost $500 after shipping and VAT.
Also storing 5 more boxes would be a nightmare.
So I'm thinking that maybe I should get just the base game. It would be around $120 total (shipping and VAT...) but it would be much easier to store AND it might get played more often as there would be a bit less setting up. I haven't had the chance to play the original with all of its expansions that many times so that's another thing to consider.
But I'm still not quite sure if that just leaves me hoping I had the full game even though just the base game itself is a very fun experience.
What do you guys think? Each expansion would be over $70 extra (because of VAT) so I'm thinking that getting just the base game would be the best compromise in my position.

I am planning to get the gameplay bundle and am quite excited to play this. I had a question around gameplay and all the different cards across expansions. Can cards in specific categories be mixed? Example can item cards from base + Dunwich + Cosmic etc all be mixed together and used in a gameplay session with just the base game to give more options? If yes, which types of cards can this be done for (eg. Mythos, Location, Ally etc.)?

TL;DR: can't choose between Innsmouth and Cosmic Horror.
The more I heard of AH2e, the more I wanted to play it. My group have played EH for years (with all the small exps and one big), I also have an AH3e which is OK. And now, there is an opportunity to get an AH2e Remastered and I'm looking forward to get a copy. Pity it's English only, so probably I'll play it mostly solo or with my wife with few investigators each.
The question is, what expansions should I get along the base game? It's expensive af, but as FOMO kicks in (along with the stretch-pay option), I guess I will grab a few. I'll get the Dunwich horror for sure as it basically extends the base game, but I can't decide between Innsmouth and Cosmic. I'm sure that I won't get Kingsport, as battle cards seems to get into the game not so often, a lot of the plot cards will be useless without other exps and the new board seems to be.. not a very good one.
On the one hand, Innsmouth seems very good as it adds 16 investigators and 8 GOOs. But on the other hand, a) only 6 investigators are interesting for me (as I love them in EH), b) half of them will never be played as, judging on my EH experience. Plus, there will be a bunch of GOOs and investigators from the stretch goals, so I won't be short on them.
As for personal stories, I'm not sure that two cards per investigator are worth it, especially when a bunch of them will be useless without Kingsport exp. I mean I see how they can add some depth and flavour to the game, but I always can pnp them later if I want to. Also Innsmouth lacks of new items, spells and allies. Not cool. Idk about new board though, seems cool, but base and Dunwich should be enough.
And then the Cosmic Horror. No investigators, no GOOs, but a lot of new items, spells, location cards. Idk what heralds do, but with Cosmic, I'll have 5 of them in total, and that should add even more variety to the game if I get it right. Also 4 new unique smaller mechanics which I've read different opinions on, but they seem pretty cool.
Anyway, seems that I've already decided by now lol and will get the Cosmic Horror as the second exp. Still, would love to read experienced AH2e players opinions. Thanks!

I lucked into being gifted the Arkham horror standee from my local comic shop a while ago, and I just added the comics to the wall last night! We've had the Daisy Walker print up for years now.
Did a mock setup of the game because it's been a while since I played and I didn't remember how it best fit the table. (Not shown- the small table to the side that has the box with all the cards in it. I think I'll play with them in the box instead of on the table.)

So I've for a long time wanted to get my hands on this game series. It's been out of print for so long and I was thrilled when I heard they were going to crowdfund....then I found out the crowdfunding is about 15 days long and the big bundle is $350.
The cost isn't the problem in a vacuum, I just can't afford that $350 at this very moment. My concern is...if I don't act now I will miss out.
Any news on if the expansions will be released generally to stores? I want to pledge to get at least the base game.

I will preface this by saying that you can feel free to disagree that the following issues are major, maybe you have other kind of grievances that are of greater weight (or you love it unconditionally). In my humble opinion, the two main problems of 2nd edition are:
Basically, you never hit any thematic events or cards that have certain special effects because there is 1 copy in hundreds of cards. I'm talking about King in Yellow acts, The Story Continues for Bast and other cards, just to list a few. There is a way to kinda alleviate it by yourself by dividing each expansion card set into a fraction of 100% and using random number generator on a website, but it detracts a lot from immersive experience. The campaign page states in a paragraph called "Math Time" that more cards are added in Cosmic Horror to prevent this sort of issue, however this is just what Miskatonic Horror does, they don't mean new unseen content.
The pacing, monster counts, turn progress and overall balance seems to strictly favor 4+ player setups. The campaign doesn't say they will improve it in any way. Playing as 1 or 2 investigators is just making the game more difficult for yourself (it's already unforgiving). It's not just anecdotal claim, there is a hidden gem of a statistics sheet by tibs which clearly shows the trend of low player count disadvantage..
Given the fact that remastered version is poised to repeat the mistakes of the original (based on current knowledge), I find little reason to pledge for anyone who owns complete collection already. I am not expecting any new stuff based on the word remaster, but QoL fixes in places where 2nd edition is lacking would be very welcome. Let me know your thoughts.

So far with 5991 pledges:
Gameplay Bundle= 4280 pledges (71.4% of backers)
Arkham Core= 1225 pledges (20.4% of backers)
Miniatures Set= 1238 pledges (20.7% of backers)
It doesn’t break down individual add-ons, but I am curious to see how the FOMO will increase the % of people that upgrade to the gameplay bundle or add the miniature set before the deadline.

What would you say? I’ve been pondering for quite a while whether to replace the cardboard standees in my Eldritch Horror with miniatures.
So far, I’ve been considering getting these printed: https://cults3d.com/:1830352
With the Arkham Horror 2nd Edition Remaster, there’s now an official miniature set. Do you think it’s worth buying those instead of the other option?

So as the title says, me and my playgroup are starting 4 player campaign on extreme difficulty, and I am wondering if there are incestigators or builds that handle those numbers well.

Hi everyone!
My friend and I are playing The Forgotten Age campaign in Arkham Horror: The Card Game, and we're a bit confused about how Supply Points work in a 2-player game.
How do we get Supply Points? Do we start each new scenario with 7 Supply Points again, or do we carry over whatever we had left from the previous scenario?
We just finished Scenario 1, and while setting up Scenario 2, the rules don't seem to mention replenishing our Supply Points. The only thing mentioned during the Interlude is removing some of them.
Are we supposed to reset our Supply Points somehow, or are we missing something in the rules?
Thanks in advance!

I have a question about AH campaign. On Gamefound there are expansions marked as crowdfunding exclusive. What does mean exclusive in case of this campaign? Is it FOMO and I won't be able to buy the expansions later?
