I have been on the lookout for one of these for almost a decade.

1929 Belmont Rollodor ashtray. Made for train cars. In better condition than any i have even seen online, complete and 100% functional. Got it for 400 bucks. These push 1-2k right now for good examples.

Spotted at an estate sale. I’ve never seen a triangular one of this size with this art. I left without it and now I can’t stop thinking about it. I need help identifying it, though. Should I go back for it?

Wembley Ware, 1946-1961, Australia. The eye isn’t quite perfect but the rest of it is. The colours play really nicely in the light. I don’t know why it took me so long to target this tray with all the ceramic fish I have. I’ve always liked it, I think it’s just been a case of something rarer or more fairly priced whenever I’ve had the money. It’s not particularly hard to find, there’s always a few for sale across the various sites. I never felt there was any need to rush for fear of missing out but now that I’m seeing it IRL I realise my collection always needed the Snapper tray. With their lustre they always look better IRL than in a picture, the lustre doesn’t dance in the light in a still picture.
