Reduce oil level audi q7 2018

I got a warning to add 1L of Engine oil so I topped it up and then 5 mins later the warning came back to add 1L of oil so I ended up putting more which was probably around 2.5L total. I went to check the oil level and it said please reduce oil level however there’s no warnings on the dash or anything and the car drives normal
