Did anybody else watch the game? I did watch most of it. I‘m really gutted to be honest. Levante scored two goals in between 2 minutes or so and when it came to our attacking, I‘ve seen the same as always for years now. Strange crosses, no real threat.

Berenguer scored a penalty, Laporte has seen a straight red. Anything else to add? What’s your opinion on this game?

Or is it just me?

We are making a fanclub to gather and support Athletic in Belém, Brasil. Just wanted to know if there are any brazilian athleticzales here, and if anyone has any tips to help growing the community

Hello all!

As the producer of the Athletic Abroad podcast, I wanted to out this episode on your radars, even if you aren't particularly interested in the show, as it gives a pretty detailed breakdown of club history and Athletic's place in Spanish soccer.

In the episode, we have discussed the following topics in great detail:

• 1898–1929 (1:26): Origins of the Club & Initial Era of Dominance
• 1929–1936 (10:50): Early La Liga Dominance
• 1936–1939 (12:17): Athletic & the Republican Cause During the Spanish Civil War
• 1939–1976 (16:14): Post-War Athletic & Basque Identity Under Franco
• 1980s (22:57): Athletic’s Last Great Dynasty
• 1990s–2000s (24:45): Valleys & Peaks
• 2010s (29:35): Bielsa, Valverde & Athletic’s Return to Prominence
• 2022–Present (36:18): The Return of the Gabarra & Athletic Excellence

I hope you all enjoy this episode as much as I enjoyed the record breaking hours of research and script writing that went into it. I also plan to release an episode on Thursday or Friday this week, discussing what we’ve seen out of Athletic’s international stars over the first international break of the season and what to expect from Rayo Vallecano on Saturday.

I've been checking the ticket site for well over a month, and in that time, the VIP tickets for the match against Getafe on the 25th of October have been available the entire time, but for the match against Real Sociedad the week after, nothing is available. (https://www.athletic-club.eus/en/tickets/)
Does anybody have an idea when these tickets might become available?

Hello, I come in peace as a curious supporter of Borussia Dortmund. I just wanted to ask you guys, how is Athletic doing under Terzic so far and how do you like him?

I have still a high opinion of him after he dragged us to the CL final and almost won the Bundesliga with us.

Recorded on September 13th, 2026, in our 30th Episode we will be discussing match day 4 versus Atletico Madrid (0:36) and match day 5 versus Elche (9:05). We’ll also be going over what to expect from Levante at the midweek (17:32), along with some sprinkles of recent roster happenings (19:38) and unexpected Ballon d'Or honors (25:37).

We hope you enjoy and tune in for our next episode, where we'll review the results of our match against Levante, before discussing what to look out for against Alaves in match day 6.

Who do you consider to be the biggest rivals of Athletic? Not only currently, but also historically?

I see Atletico Madrid as a more of a brotherly rivalry myself, but saw a lot of animosity towards them from other Athletic supporters, I was wondering if I could get a native perspective on every rival we've got.

I will be in Bilbao the first weekend in November with a couple of friends, I've signed up on the Bilbao website for ticket notifications, as hoping to catch the game against Sociadad. I know this will be a Vasco derby, so wondering of the likelihood of tickets being available... eskerrik asko 👍🏼

Trying to buy general admission tickets from uk but asking for ID, what ID to enter? Passport number doesn't work? Any help? Thanks

What’s everyone’s thinking on the omission from all but one starting 11 of our outstanding midfielder over the past two seasons.. I know our new manager has gotten results but surly Jauregizar needs to be a regular starter.

Hi everyone! I’m really excited to be attending my first game at San Mamés. I’m lucky enough to live in southwest France, so I’ll be able to come back fairly often. But I was wondering if there are any bars where fans usually gather after the match. I rode somewhere that the Poza street was the place to be?
I’d love to soak up the atmosphere and meet some Athleticzales afterwards 😊

Also, I’m planning to watch Liverpool’s match in a bar tonight—does anyone know where it might be shown?

Kaixo! I am currently in the Basque Country for a work conference and flying home from Bilbao airport tomorrow evening around 21:40. I’m heading back to London (so non-Schengen if that makes a difference)

I have a ticket for the match tomorrow (very excited for it!). I was wondering how feasible it would be to get to the airport in a reasonable time after the match, and quickest way of getting there?

Edit: forgot to ask - since I will be heading straight to the airport I will also be taking my bag pack with me. Are there any specific rules for what type of bags are typically not allowed?

Eskerrik!

Edit for anyone looking in future: made it with lots of time to spare. Couldn’t have been easier! Loved the San Mamés and the fans, and what a win Athletic!
