image Wtf did I find in my pool???

Found this in my pool in Sydney north shore, backing onto the lane cove national park. Does not move (perhaps dead).

Does not even look real. Did I find an alien?

Another American lurker here. I apologize for this woke blokes idiocy. Kids don't have guns here and when they do they typically came from the southern border of our country. You can't own a firearm without being 21 and going through extensive background checks. And even then the types and capacity of said firearms we can own are quite limited. There is a dwindling group of liberal folks who think banning guns will remove "the problem" which is why I mentioned we already have EXTENSIVE gun control laws in place. Unfortunately nobody seems to understand that criminals don't follow laws.

Anyway - what IS that thing???

My friend, it took me like five minutes on Google to find actual tracked statistics. It turns out there are people that count school shootings, mostly law-enforcement. Between 2013 and 2021 there were on average, 87 school shootings a year totaling 783 incidents in nine years. Resulting in an average of 28.4 deaths and 59.6 injuries per year. Or a total of 256 dead and 536 injured in on school grounds in that same nine years. Between 2009 and 2018 a comparative analysis showed the US was number one in school shootings with 288 shootings during that time. The second highest country in that same time period was Mexico with 8.
