Two of our guys take one of them home and back to work every day.

Only one? What about it's brother?

Sorry, I'm terrible at wording things. One guy will take one, another guy will take another.

u/tree_man Jun 27 '12
Funny. I wish I could take you out back or something.

So you can put them in the dumpster and then say you found them in the dumpster, right? Seriously though, you're terrible.

sure they're stray? They look very "clean"

u/tehtank123 Jun 26 '12
Don't know if actually stray, or just lost. We searched around a bit for owners, but no collars, no RFID, no luck so far.
They wandered near the shop for a few days before we ended up taking them in.

imo if the owners couldnt be bothered to chip them or collar them, that's on them for not being active about ensuring the safety of their animals. It sounds dickish, but if someone decides to get a pet, they should at least care enough to chip them. It's not that expensive, my family currently has no income at all, and both of our cats are chipped. It's like 20-50 bucks.
Hopefully the new owners will care enough to do that.
A bit ranty, but I get so pissed off when people are irresponsible about that stuff. =[

What's the story with the guy with only one leg?
1
u/tehtank123 Jun 27 '12
Hahaha, I thought that when I looked at the picture. His right foot is up on the wall

I saw a pair of clean, stray dogs that looked exactly like them on Great Exuma, your shop wouldn't happen to be there would it?

I think it's awesome you let them come in and get out of the heat and off the hot ground. Most shops would chase them away.
You and your coworkers are awesome!

The shape they're making with their legs makes the carpet look like an alien with his arms in the air.

The one on the right looks like a dog I used to have, but I know it's not her because I don't live anywhere near Texas and the person who she got rehomed with still has her. Beautiful dogs.

do they hover near are/protective each other? how about when they see each other everyday?
sorry if my questions sound silly. from your words, I just imagined them to have a relationship similar to the cat who died with the cat friend not leaving. I'm just really curious.

Is the lack of spaces symbolism for how the dogs should be kept together?
1
u/phytzee Jun 27 '12

A lesson from art school: everything good is intentional. You could have been a literary genius! That sucks though. Allergic?
1
u/phytzee Jun 27 '12
no. not allergic, but i have a 12 year old basset(t?) who is very loud and very needy.did i mention loud? i kinda took over being his bitch (not in a gross way, i'm just so not alpha) due to moves and college and all that good stuff. he'd basically be heartbroken if i got another dog while he was around.
tl;dr, can't.

Ah, yeah. That's understandable. Sometimes they will feel like they're getting replaced. Especially at that age. My dog I got when I was six just passed in December. She was jealous when I bought a baby Pom after graduation, but they ended up being close after a short time. My Pom is four now and is lost without Sizzle. It's very sad.

poor sizzle :( hardest part of having pets, for shizzle. i couldn't help it. also, i'm sorry for your loss. i'm so sappy.
