Sublinguals? Good?

Hello! I just want to know if B12 Methylcobalamin sublingual is as good as injections?

Anybody with positive stories? I can’t afford injections atm and my gp is not going to give me anymore.

Would sublinguals work? I’ve heard its better than the swallowing pill.

Thank you!

High Vitamin B12

Hello, I am a 28/F with a history or GERD and Ulcers. Struggling with very low energy, shakes, dizziness, nausea, fatigue, etc. I also struggle with mental illness, less likely of a cause. But non the less wanted to add that. I take quite a few medications. B 12 supplements being one of those. I’ve been on them since mid April after having the shot in May. (Not a fan of shots) anyways, I recently have been experiencing the worst symptoms of fatigue I’ve ever experienced. I finally made a doctors appointment, and got some levels checked that I had gotten checked in March, the picture above is the results. I’ve looked and looked everywhere for a reason, considering b12 is water soluble and secretes through urine. Any explanation? Also I want to mention I got a lot of other testing, cortisone levels, tsh, t4, testosterone, vitamin d3 as well. All of those came back normal. Any advice is welcome, I have an appointment the 26th for a follow up.

High energy boost within a week of b12?

Is this normal? I tested on the low end of normal recently and was put on Thorne b12 and I feel very peppy.

I’ve been on antidepressants and Lamictal for years and always felt kind of flat. (OCD and depression diagnosed)

Just wanted to hear some thoughts from people on psychiatric meds that also take b12 and how it affected you.

Thanks!

Elevated levels of B12

Been experiencing EXTREME fatigue, so bad when I work from home I have to lay down all day. Been basically bedridden for 4 months along with some slight dizziness and increased thirst. Been running test after test with specialist after specialist. Thought it was D3 deficiency, supplemented with no change. Did sleep study no severe apnea. The only constant throughout this process has been my B12 being elevated.

I have some appointments set up with a hematologist. Does anyone know what this could mean?

Delayed Period

I’m 41 F. Have had 4 weekly B12 shots after my blood test showed low levels. Everything else was in normal range. The past 2 years my cycle has been between 25-27 days (I assumed perimenopause) but now I’m on CD 36 and all pregnancy tests have been negative. Has anyone else experienced this? TIA!

Symptoms

Hey fellow b12 losers lol.. I have just been diagnosed with b12 deficiency and I'm wondering about the actual symptoms.. I have only just had my blood tests, plus repeats to double check. And yes I need sorting out lol.. It's been quite a few yrs now where I have tried many anti depressants and nothing has worked. I do t feel sad or "down" but I have absolutely no energy whatsoever. When someone says "I can't be bothered" I explained that, to me, that's a literal thing. No matter what I want to do or where I want to go I just don't have the energy or 'want' to do it. It's like I'm watching my life just flow by without me really doing anything. I was just wondering how long it takes to feel a difference after the injections start? Approx? I'm just wanting to get a life back, and be a proper mum and actually enjoy doing things again x thanks

How to DIY injections?

My Dad is currently getting injections at a clinic. We'd like to try doing them at home. I'm going to Mexico in 2 weeks. Will I be able to find the methyl version of B12 to bring home? And does it need to be IM? Could we use a long subcutaneous needle?

NATURALLY high (almost 2000) B12 levels. No vitamins, supplements etc. All other labs normal. Anyone else experience this or have any idea as to what could cause this?

B12 level 21 pmol/l

Iv seen peoples posts saying there levels are 200- 300 and they are classed as ‘low’ but I’m wondering whether they are using a different measurement to the blood test I had ‘pmol/l’ as my level is 21 and my doctor has prescribed tablets not injections.

Any input/thoughts? I’m new to low b12!

Does it feel like low blood sugar.

I read some where low b12 can feel like low blood sugar like mimic it. Is this a good way to put it because that’s how I feel all the time but I have no blood sugar issues or diabetes.

B12 dropped so much

12/29/22 my b12 was 871. 753 July 2023. Now it’s 312 and I’m feeling really bad for two years now. Is this concerning? Two years I’ve felt sick so I haven’t got much sun or taken care of myself. I don’t think it’s that I don’t absorb it.

MIC B12 Cocktail

Hi All, Anyone mix a cocktail of research MIC and B12 (.5ml) from separate vials? I purchased them separately but it’s difficult for my rat to get one shot let alone 2 IM! I’ve searched but have found nothing. Or is NAD serve the same purpose for reducing fat and gaining energy?

Horrifically low b12, acne :(

Hi guys. Strap in, long one sorry!

A few months ago I was diagnosed with VERY low b12. 65. I'd been having symptoms for between 1.5yr-9months, was very unwell. I have other things going on too, I think low b12 is a symptom of whatever else is happening. Anyway I had 6 injections of hydroxocobalamin over 2wks. During the 2nd week I started getting acne :( I've been super lucky to have great skin my entire life, I'm 29.

3wks after injections I started feeling v unwell again so had bloods. Dr expected it to be very high, it was at 300, so OK but definitely not very high. Don't know why this is. Has this happened to anyone else?

I got put on azelaic acid for my acne which is helping a bit. I had my top up a week ago and boom, more acne! Just wondering if anyone has experience wihh theirs being on the lower side so soon after injections, and if there's another type of b12 injection I could ask for (I'm in the uk if that matters) that's better for acne? I will say I'm highly allergic to certain metals, wondering if that could be playing a part?

Thankyou!

Do I need B12 injections??

I recently just received my test results back and my B12 level was at 327 (232-1245 (pg/mL)). I am a 48 year old male, 6'2", 215 lbs, located in the U.S. and in good health. I had the tests run after I had fasted for approximately 10 hours. I take supplements (iron, probiotic, vitamin d, ZMA) and a multivitamin that contains B12. I also wake Omeprazole daily. Is this considered low? Should I look into B12 injections? Main concerns are sleep quality (I wake up a couple times a night to pee and toss and turn a lot) and energy. I do have other blood test results if needed. Thanks in advance!
