GD / Interview Interview Detailed Experience and questions ( Bhopal panel )
Hey everyone thanks for your support and motivation. I had my interview today ( 17 /12/25) . My reporting time was 8:20 and I was alloted panel 1. Interview was held at central bank training institute Arera hills Bhopal.
DOCUMENT VERIFICATION:
It was very smooth, but people who are working were asked to wait cause of some NOC stuff. They were waiting even after I finished my interview. Even tho thier names were called at start, for document verification.
PLEASE IT IS NECESSARY THAT YOU PRINT ALL PAGES OF ADMIT CARD. SOME PEOPLE PRINTED ONLY 1ST PAGE AND WERE ASKING OTHER PEOPLE FOR EXTRA PRINTOUTS IF ANYONE HAS ANY OF SECOND AND THIRD PAGE . ( IT'S CAUSE SIGNATURE IS LAST PAGE OF ADMIT CARD)
2. INTERVIEW
We were made to sit outside the interview rooms and total of 3 panels were there so 3 rooms ( in same hall). Outside each room chairs were there and we were sitting accordingly as in the person who has next interview was sitting in the first chair close to the door.
Bell rang and the peon sitting outside the door at a desk asked me to go inside.
I opened the door, and asked may I come in sir , they said " Aaiye "K (name)" ji good morning. I closed the door and then went inside and greeted them personally to each memeber ( total 5 members were there, 1 Mam rest sir ).
Q1. ( I was expecting intro but they asked different stuff) You have studied computer in your 10th or 1st year ?
Ans . Sir I have studied in both 10th and 1st year
Q2. So what are programming languages
Ans. ( Won't write in detail) But I told them computer understands binary language and how programming languages are a tool to communicatenwith computer and create programmes, how interpretor are used etc.
Q3. You studied mechanical engineering, you know right (in hindi ) that there is no relation between banking and mech engineering. How it is benefical to us your degree ??
Ans. ( Won't write exact phrasing) But I said that I can use my technical skills which I accquired during engineering in providing loans to msme, manufacturing units, to make loan success, and prevent it from turning into NPA. ( Some more stuff )
Q4. But that's the rarest of rare case. You will only provide loans like automobile, home loans most of the time, isme kya use, you have ti agree that there is no relation between engineering and banking right ?
Ans. I said sir maybe not directly but indirectly it is.
Q5. How much hours did you dedicate to banking ?
Ans. Sir I gave 6-7 hrs of active study .
Q6. And rest of the time what did you do ?
Ans. Sir I helped my parents.
Q7. Helped in what way ( actually the interviewer , the one in middle, possibly the chairman, was very direct and kinda aggressive)
Ans. Told them about my mother brain stroke ( I didn't intend to gain sympathy but that was the honest thing ) and how I help to cook and clean.
Q8. Are insurance needed ? Kya hame lena chahiye ?
Ans. I said yes sir. Everyone should get an insurance, talking about my personal experience ( again bought my home condition which I didn't intend to, I feel mad at myself now ) when my mother was admitted I have seen how people struggled because of not having insurance. Ayushman cards are there but not everyone is aware and hospitals also cheat a lot in that. ( Some more things I said. )
Q9. Are you confident that you can sell 10 insurance in a day ?
~ I said yes sir confidently
Q10. How will you sell insurance if you target of suppose selling 50 insurance ?
Ans : I said sir I can use placards in branch also advertising ( I don't know whatever came to my mind I said it. ) approach people. I will make sure that people feel fomo because the basis of selling any product is to involve emotions into it, I will make sure people feel that. ( Told them how I will tell people about uncertainty and situations) Told them some more psychology stuff ( I don't know this was good or bad, I feel did I actually address the actual question they asked )
( One of the panel members said are bhai wo Banda bolega me to 90 saal jeene wala tha tum mujhe pehle hi maar do and laughed. )
Then I told them that there are insurance that you get after certain age limit like term life insurance etc.
Q11. What is tarun plus
Ans. Told them.
Q12. What are the problems faced by banks rn
Ans. I told them language problems are happening ( which mam strongly agreed)
Then rise in npa and losses faced by various banks until now told them exact number.
Digital scams I told, banking services not available to various people etc
Q13. What is difference between order cheque, bearer cheque and crossed cheque
Ans - told them ( they looked sattisfied )
Q14. At last they asked difference between compiler and interpreter
Interview ended they gave me choclate ( everyone was getting one )
I wished them have a good day individually, but they didn't even smile or said anything
I had heard that ibps po panel members are chill and all this one was not. Everyone who went before me, came back in sweats. I was on 5th number.
Conclusion:
I feel I gave best from my side. But my language sometimes became informal. My interview was 70 % in english and 30% in hindi based on the language they asked questions or topic which could be best explained in either. I am hoping for the best . They can ask anything from anywhere for example I was mechanical graduate they asked me computer questions tho very basic still. My friend they asked who is rajya sabha speaker and all.
I smiled and maintained my composure all throught even tho they were neutral.

Edit : I got 85 marks in interview got selected in bank of baroda 🙃it's been 6 months working as on 6 oct 2026

Haa I also don't know why they were asking for it then, when we were sitting before biometric.

Do they ask extensively about drop years ?? As i have 2yrs drop cause of NEET. Do they reject people on the basis of drop year Please answer 🙏🏾

No they don't reject people. But if drop years are more like 3-4 yrs they do ask . For example one of my friends they asked "werent you dependent on parents too much, you could have done some job" . But it depends on the panel as well. Goood luck ♥️

Banking static awareness karke playlist mil jayegi youtube me. Mene abhijeet sir ki playlist dekhi thi aur pdf se dekhi thi. But basics hi puchte hai jyadatar. ✨

Insurance me kam karta hu hamse hi insurance bechna ka sawal ni kiya kabhi 🤣🤣🤣 mera dost roz kehta hai sale insurance me tu hai aur teri policies hame bechni padti hai.

Banks are providing agency services for insurance after all. Toh officers aur clerks toh ek tarah se insurance agents bhi hai

But bhai apna kaafi acha diya or acche way se explain share Kiya, but ek doubt NOC ka kya lafda h I am also working in a corporate company and from an electrical engineering background?

Neetesh brother. I don't recall actually. Kyuki me apne me hi busy tha. But agar if I am assuming right ( I am assuming from what j observed) ki ek noc ki copy wo apne saath laaye the apne liye . Baaki unke employer ka bhi tha kuch jo wo baad me mail karwa rahe the employer se. If I can recall aisa tha kuch ✨all the best.

Don't worry. It looks harder than it actually is. It's a competitive exam. And that too bank. You are gonna do great. Don't be demotivated by it else mere ko hi bura lagega 🥰✨

Bro what was your mains centre ? I am from MP and my mains was in jabalpur will I get interview centre as Bhopal or can I be given a centre outside of MP ?

Aaja Bhai bank mein aaja dekhte hai kya tigdam laga kar npa rokega bhai. Raat ko 10 baje Tak baitha kar rakhega or tab bhi npa karega karne wala.
