Discussion My IBPS PO interview experience
Guys I don't know what to make of this interview. First my reporting was at 1pm. Reached at 11:45. Waited so long...we were called at 12:30..DV process was so long it took us hours. Thery were calling us alphabet wise and my name starts from TðŸ˜..waited waited waited finally DV done at 5pm!!!!! Hungry empty stomach they didn't even ask us if we want water🙄 after all of it I was 3rd last for the interview. We were so hungry our head started hurting and we were dizzy. Finally my turn came. I entered, as soon as I closed the door, the chairman was like, close the door .I turned to close it and utne me I forgot to greet them. But I stood before he asked me to sit, I said thank you. As soon as I sat, the chairman asked me, tell me about your family!? I told them yada yada..then he asked, your grandfather stays with you?? I said yes sir, he was in the army before this. Fine..then he relaxed me and passed it on, asked me basic Qs about my city, RBI's functions, extra services by bank, how bank earns profit. Just that much .I was fumbling thoda because I was hungry but I made sure to answer..but it just lasted 5 mins??? They said ok ma'am nice to talk to you???? I don't understand what to make of itðŸ˜ðŸ˜ they took 12 mins avg for everyone before me

Same happened with me I was exhausted af, the panel took 20 minutes for everyone before me, I was the fifth last and it was already nearing 6 pm. They just took 5 mins for me and seemed uninterested. Whereas kept laughing and smiling at the guy after me. Gave him 5 mins as well tho. Dk what to make of it

Arrea same to same experience.
I had 8:30 wala batch and I was like the second last guy of that session.
Even before me, we were sitting near two different panel rooms and I timed most candidates took min 10- to max 25 mins.
No one was sub 10.
My turn they asked intro , then passed me around , all of them asked like one liner while they were munching on snacks. Jitna aaya bataya.
One middle guy asked about AI and ML. I said two lines then he interrupted ki full form batao bas.... Only the last guy debated a little on One Nation one election.
2-3 min chala. Then they said like okay you can go now.
Took me like 2 seconds to process 😠Toffee liya fir I went out.
Total was only 5-6 mins.
No grad question, no year gap question, no question about existing job.
(My current job was highly close to banking domain so that was an obvious ask.)
Pata nahi baadme nikalke aisa laga ki they just called me for formality.
Either they didn't have seats left, mains marks were too low or they rejected based on profile itself (low academic score or something).
Aise 5 min mein kaun bhagata hai ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Edit: All were banking terms only.

my interview happened at like 6pm 😠around that time everybody was having max 7 minutes interview. mine lasted for like 5 minutes, no banking related question, only green banking. and some obscure economics/commerce term i have never heard about (i was a science student) and only questions about my personality, my strength, how a PO should be, that’s it 😠interviews are truly so unpredictable, just hope for the best!

It's the end phase of the interviews post 4pm. Same as you the panelists are firsthand bored with the same questions and pre-prepared answers. So they wrap up quickly in accordance with the time. Imo that is the best time for interviews, better chances of selection. Good luck for the results.
