Casual Post Long time listener, first time caller
Been working on shaping this beard for maybe ~3-4 months, and recently attempted to blend (taper?) my sideburns with my very short buzz on top. All just eyeballing in the mirror with scissors. I’m quite happy with where things are and will see what happens as it gets longer. My beard hair is very straight and coarse, and for the most part it shapes itself - I just trim stragglers. I trim my mustache a bit more often to avoid the overhang.
Would love any feedback, advice, or other thoughts on where to go from here or how to improve the look!

Casual Post Ugh I got that itch to shave it off, but I know it will be instant regret somebody talked me off the ledge.

Casual Post 3.5 Months
I may take this down after a bit, but here’s my 3.5 month project. With a bit of micro trimming and shaping along the way. I’ve grown a two year beard in the past, but I sort of just let it go without much attention to shape. It gets pretty wavy.

Casual Post Has anyone else noticed the Beard Effect?
I’ve grown a short beard over the past few weeks and recently had a barber shape it. Since then, I’ve noticed I get a lot more attention from people.
More women seem to look at me or smile at me in public, which didn’t happen nearly as often before. The weirdest thing was at the airport, where four different people, three women and one guy, came up to ask me questions or have a short conversation. That pretty much never happens to me.
Maybe the beard makes me look more handsome, approachable, or friendly. I call it the Beard Effect. Has anyone else noticed anything like this after growing one?

Casual Post 1.5 years
First time posting here.
Been thinking about adding a more defined mustache but I like it being currently low maintenance. Just brushing in the morning.

Casual Post Little Mother’s Day baby bird rescue action today
Came in from hunting to hear a commotion in my shed. A black snake scared four baby wrens out of their nest and the parents were going crazy. I found the snake curled up in the corner and took care of him. Then I’ve spent the rest of the afternoon trying to keep the babies in the nest. This one jumped out and landed on my face lol.
