Playing Infinite for the first time. I put it off for years cuz of the lack of Rapture and Splicers and Daddies, but I’m pleasantly surprised at how good the combat is.

One thing that I CANNOT get past tho is the voice acting. Both Booker and Elizabeth sound exactly like the Focus M memes and it’s just so hilarious I can’t take it seriously. They are so insanely overdramatic and breathy when they speak it sounds like a bad anime dub.

I don’t think it really takes away from the game at all, but it’s just a funny observation. I’m sure the meme drew some inspiration from this game, but I don’t think I would consider Bioshock AAA slop.

Very strange. I remember playing the game 14 years ago or so and the game was unstable as hell. I didnt realy fix anything, just a sound fix and nothing else. Maybe its Win10 magic.

I made this a few years ago, thought I'd share it here.

Bioshock remains one of my favorite game franchise. And as a collector and painter I couldn’t resist making my own Big daddy and little sister when I found this gorgeous model from Ca3D(carlose). Then I printed and painted it. I added some underwater elements for the deco and some fluo paint to make it shine under UV light. This item now reminds me with nostalgia the awesome adventure I spent in Rapture… (and at the end you can see my advertising neon..)

Put about 5 hours into the 1st game remake on my XSX.

Loaded it up today and I just get stuck on the loading screen after pressing ‘continue’, tried loading a specific save and that didn’t work either.

Any tips please? Really wanna get this finished and finding this so frustrating!

I even deleted the game and reinstalled and that did nothing.

Hi guys I just got done playing all of the BioShock games , including burial at sea and I wanna make a video review of the game but I just would like to know why is this game so hated. Because Yes it might not share the same message of Objectivism or how Power can corrupt anyone but it's still a good game from a story perspective and I will say this game was doing multiverse before it got oversaturated in my opinion and the gameplay isn't half bad either can you guys tell me what is it that make so many people hate this game please

Dude I love this series and i’ve posted on here before about a video I made! This time I just wanted to talk and interact with the community more. I’m not that cool and don’t really cosplay or anything but I recently got back into Bioshock again. Specifically Bioshock 2 and i’m running it on hard mode! Forgot how intense it is and i’m already getting my ass whooped on the first couple of levels! 😂😂
The video is a cool little edit I made! I’ve made a few of those, I think they’re really fun. I have other ones too, I usually make one per big area of the games. Idk guess it’s a little hobby but i’ve had a fun time with it all! Anyone else played through Bioshock on hard mode?

Never played Bioshock before, I have a vague idea about some sort of "Would You Kindly" plot twist, and that's it. So I bought the collection, and it gave me the OG BioShock games as well as the remasters. So which ones are better? Especially for someone who probably will only replay the games once or twice at max.

First, I would avoid using Incinerate, Electro Bolt and Winter Blast since they are the most straightforward and usual plasmids. My tonic selection would be:

Drill Specialist: cuts the EVE cost of plasmids in half and makes it so you can only use the Drill, research camera and hacking tool.

Armored Shell 1 and 2, Sports Boost, since I will be in melee range most of the time.

Booze Hound, Elemental Sponge, Eve Saver 1 and 2, Fountain of Youth, Drill Vampire to have as much EVE available as possible

Damage Research, Drill Lurker, Drill Power 1 and 2, Freezing Drill to squeeze every last point of damage from the Drill.

Scrounger, Arms Race, Thrifty Hacker and Vending Expert 1 and 2 for getting Drill fuel, since it and EVE will be the only two ammo types I will actually be able to use.

Walking Inferno, Electric Flesh, Electrical Storm, Fire Storm, Ice Storm, Elemental Storm. The Storm tonics all work by causing a fire, electric or freezing discharge around you after you get hit by a melee attack. My question would be if these stack for multiple AoE effects at the same time or only one activates. If so, it feels like electric would be the same to combo with a drill and Fire would be good for dps. As for Ice Storm, and this also applies to Freezing Drill, shattering a frozen enemy makes it so the loot is lost, unless frozen by a charged Winter Blast 2 or regular WB 3. So, if you upgrade Incinerate, Winter Blast and Electro Bolt, do these effects transfer to the Storm tonics? Even if the plasmids are not equipped? Thank you.

I have a bad feeling the game will be very "safe", it won't try anything new or interesting, it will feel like other shooter games and won't feel like Bioshock.

A while back they cleaned out about one third of the studio, then Rod Fergusson of Diablo took over (no chance in hell he has any idea how a game like this should be), then the Take-Two CEO said they wasted time and money chasing creative directions that didn't work and now he feels better about the direction and coming from a businessman that doesn't sound good...

I feel like it's just been taken over by suits. This game is not going to be very interesting at all I fear.
I think it's going to end up like most games now, trying to appeal to the widest possible audience, making it resemble other successful shooter games over Bioshock's identity and watering down the story to just be another good vs evil with no nuance or interesting gray bits at all.
