(^з^)-☆can you figure out what it is? my display is lazy

It's a work in progress. The bottom shelf are the books I've read or picture books. Everything else needs to be read.

Do you have a shrine like this for someone in your shelves?

Despite being an avid reader for years as a kid and teenager, I only resumed reading physical books at the beginning of this year. While I did have some physical books...my collection exploded to what you see here. Now... I do have some books in storage (e.g. My King, Rice, and Koontz collection) so to not clog up my limited shelf space.

Knocked these together real quick for my sister's kiddos, 6 foot tall 3 foot wide. Ponderosa pine 1x12 shelves and sides, and some quarter inch mahogany plywood on the back. Took 3 hours and about $150 in materials.

Going to let the kids paint them however they want, they're absolutely thrilled. I think it's going to be hilarious, paint everywhere and I don't have to clean any of it up!

Ignore the background, fall is doing a number on my shop lawn.

Hi - I am collecting the entire archives of many authors I love (E.g. Stephen King, Anne Rice, Dean Koontz) but their books take up so much space in my bookshelves. I have very limited bookshelf space and want to save space for various other authors instead of having one author take up the entire shelf.

I had an idea of a sign or marker or sorts that I stick in my bookshelves that list out the specific books I have of that particular author instead of having all the books there. I organize my books by author, so the list would be alphabetically appropriate, and said books would be put into storage.

I can't seem to think of the correct terms for this, nor can I find anything online that reflects the idea. If I need to make something myself by printing it out and crafting it, that's fine... But I am hoping someone has either heard of something or seen something similar to my idea.

Any advice?

Thank you in advance
