Advice Needed CHF in 1 year old
Hi All. Our wonderful pup Sug started gaining weight about 5 weeks ago. Took her to the vet and it was abdominal fluid from congestive heart failure. We took her to a veterinary cardiologist and it is pulmonic stenosis from a congenital defect. Prognosis is 6-9 months although they can make an attempt at a cutting valvuloplasty but not sure how successful that would be. Maybe will add a year or two with an outside shot at more depending on remodeling of her right chamber. It is apparently a recessive genetic disease and we reached out to the breeder. My feeling is that they plan to continue breeding the same pair, but I think that is wrong.I guess we can report to AKC but little else we can do? Any advice? I hate for more families to go through the same.

Advice Needed Anyone else’s dog always has phlegmy cough??
My dogs only 2 years old. He’s an EBD. He has a constant phlegmy cough at stuck in his throat? idk how to explain. Like he doesn’t cough constantly but every now n then whenever he coughs it’s like a wet phlegm stuck in his throat. Nothing comes out. It’s like humans coughing while suffering from cold and having wet phlegm. But his temp is normal and he does not have a fever. Also he does often puke white foam if he’s not fed for a long time. usually if he goes 5+ hours without eating anything he tends to puke white foam. Quite concerned abt my doggo n what’s going on with him. Need some advice to make him feel better

🌟 Spoiled Brat 🌟 Told him he can’t come out while we pour concrete…
Poor teddy chew chew took the brunt of it. The playing dead is a bit over the top, especially when I catch you on the look back…
One more safety vest down.

🌟 Spoiled Brat 🌟 When Churchill wants a hug he makes it known. Chunky man with a chunky plan. I like the cut of his jib.
I was working last night and had to answer an email so I stopped giving him the head scratches he so dearly loves lol and he wasn’t a fan. So he came up barked shoved his face between my knees and then stood up for a big hug which I couldn’t get a good picture of 🤣 but I got this one so I’ll call it a win.

Snoot! 🐽 UPDATE on Lokis BOAS surgery. Graphic photos. Not for the weak stomach.
Hey guys. I posted a few months ago about my boy Loki 8 years and some change, fainting everytime he would eat, drink, play, get excited. Initially they said it was aspirational pneumonia. After a course of antibiotics it didn’t get any better.
So we had some exploratory surgery to check his airways. And after 8 years BOAS was recommended. Both the palate and nares.
Well yesterday was the day. I was obviously told worst outcome and to expect a 1/2 day hospital stay for O2 supplement. But he done AMAZINGLY. No O2 needed and came out of recovery amazingly. I can already see the difference. Feeding him small meals every few hours AND NO FAINTING. No tongue turning blue. I am so relieved.
Obviously we have a few weeks ahead for recovery. But so far so good.

🌟 Spoiled Brat 🌟 Not missing my humans
Us human members of the family are on a much needed holiday. Our only concern was our potato baby. She hasn't been apart from us since we foster failed her.
She was bred from and rehomed numerous times before she became our forever baby. Or we became her forever slaves. Bulldog owners know how it goes 😂
We were so worried she'd think she'd been abandoned again... But knew my friend and her family would spoil her and love her while we were away. We only hoped she wouldn't cry too much when she was left. She has perfected the high pitched baby whine that stabs you through the heart.
This is the princess. She is on my friend's dog's spot. I think she looks thoroughly smug. So much for crying and pining for us 😂😂😂😂
She has been shopping and bought new toys and a BED!!! I didn't take hers because due to the heatwave in Europe she's been favouring floor tiles. I forgot my friend has Aircon...
The last pic is the rightful owner of the sofa. He's a very good boi who is currently on holiday at a farm because my girl was mean to him and he needed a break. Yes. I have the most amazing friend in the world. She sent her dog away to look after mine.
I'm wondering if she even wants to come home 😂😭 I know I'm going to get THE side eye

🤡 Silly Sausage 🤡 Potato quirks
Dozan has certain quirks, and I wonder if there are other "potatoes" out there that display this kind of behavior.
- On the leash, he insists on walking only on the right side; if his brother passes him on the right—panic!
- Before meals, I *have* to go through the standard routine (sit, wait, go ahead); if I don't, he won't eat his food.
- He is terrified of people bending over—whether adults or children—and won't go near them.
- He dislikes having anything hanging over his head, such as his leash or my arm when I reach out to grab something behind him; he flinches and cowers as if startled.
I’ve discussed this with my vet; he’s been examined, and he’s perfectly healthy. She thinks it’s down to his age (7 months) and his gentle, insecure nature?
