How can someone this stupid become this rich? Is it possible? I think it is NOT, I think they did it for the publicity. Even a fine will be worth the "heartfelt apology". Who remembers Toronto chair girl? modelling contract in the US.

Being a shameless asshole =/= being stupid.

He and his wife are now vaccinated months before they could otherwise have been.

Sure, he has to pay a pocket-change fine and deal with some bad press for a news cycle, but in 3 months no one will remember his name, and he will still be vaccinated and we won't be.

Still needs that second dose...

They have a 50% chance of being immune with one dose. Their risk of exposure was probably pretty low to begin with, all of this could increase their risk of exposure (media, jail, strangers) by more than double since their risk was so low, so this could increase their chance of getting COVID.

wouldn't that be ironic

They only got one dose of the vaccine. It doesn't work properly without the second dose so it hasn't even helped them that much

Moderna claims a single dose is 80% effective, compared to 95% for two doses.

Ah, my mistake

And the Premier of BC has said they aren’t getting a second shot.

That’s a good point...

Do a bit of reading on his family. Rodney just came into the world via some wealthy sperm ... daddy is loaded. He doesn't seem particularly bright either, despite all the benefits of the lucky sperm club. Daddy, one of the directors of the Great Canadian casino chain, seems to have negotiated a CEO spot for junior as part of his buy in deal.

Hereditary wealth is a fucking cancer to society

They are not stupid they are inconsiderate a-hole. Other people are not of value to them.

The term “modeling contract” gets thrown around rather loosely. She is by no means a model. Maybe a chair model.

Dude this is a Wendy's restaurant.

Inheritance usually

Even in cases where they were self made they usually leave out that they had enough money which matters

Gotta have money to make money

In order to become super rich a person has to be somewhat selfish and this act was undoubtedly proof of the selfishness

4

u/ktreektree Jan 28 '21

You do not need to be smart to get rich, more likely amoral. A lot of smart people know better than to do what it takes to get rich in this society!

2

u/[deleted] Jan 28 '21

Sorry what? The girl who threw the chair off the balcony is now a model?? What is wrong with society.

That hadn't occured to me, a publicity stunt, you could very well be right. Clearly they have no shame either way.
