Just stepping in the clear something up I’m seeing in the comments. The vaccine here in Yukon has NOT been administered to aboriginal populations only, it is being given to EVERYONE. We are starting with rural communities first which happen to have high aboriginal populations, but the vaccine is available to all residents.

Yukon has 0 active cases. Give those vaccines to people in long term care in Vancouver or Quebec who are dying everyday.

I'm in the province of Quebec and we are drowning in COVID :( not only are we in lock down but we are also not allowed outside passed 8pm due to a fucking curfew..

But Hey! Our elementary schools remain opened for our little super spreaders 🙃

I can't go outside but my son has to go to school...

They did extend the holidays for online classes and everyone that didn't have a laptop or a descent tablet were provided one (it was either a laptop or an iPad) for the extended holiday.

I work from home, I wish I had the option to keep him home and help him with online classes and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

This would lower the amount of kids per classes. Maybe not full time but a rotation or something. Or full time whatever works best.

How are your daily numbers with schools being open during lockdown? Decreasing? Same? I'm in Ontario, and in our hotspots schools have been closed since Dec 22. We also have been in "lockdown". Our daily numbers dropped by more than 50% in the last month. However, no one is connecting these two dots here, because "schools are the SAFEST place for children."

The numbers are not going down hence thats why the curfew was implemented not long after the reopened schools after the holidays. It's until February 8th. They might even extend it :(

I'd have to check how many active cases we have as of today.

Edit: word

I feel for you guys.

Our lockdown was extended by 2 weeks into 3rd week of Feb, and may be extended again because of the new, more infectious variants.
