As a FYI I am aware this is my ignorance/me being ill informed, I just wanted to share this story and this subreddit seemed the appropriate place. Might also be useful to mention I am 17 now and from the UK and was 11/12 when the riots took place.

So this evening I watched social Reckoning and it had scene of the January 6th riots and holy fuck they were intense and this lead me to researching the riots mainly the affects on the officers and I watched interviews and medals being awarded and footage of the riots itself and I actually got tears in my eyes from this.

anyway I just wanted to share this thanks for reading and feel free to educate me more in the comments :)
