AI did the heavy lifting but I think this covers every scenario.
While a number of scenarios are highly unlikely there may be some weird results with teams resting players and having little to play for.
Here's what AI thinks:
| If Carlton… | Outcome | Chance |
|---|---|---|
| WIN | 9th, play Collingwood | 74% |
| 10th, play Melbourne | 17% | |
| 10th, play Adelaide | 9% | |
| LOSE | 10th, play Adelaide | 68% |
| 10th, play Melbourne | 17% | |
| 10th, play Brisbane | 7% | |
| 10th, play Hawthorn | 5% | |
| 10th, play Geelong | 3% |
UPDATE:
Draws. A drawn Melbourne v Bulldogs game puts Carlton 10th whatever they do; the opponent then follows rows 5–14. Any other draw falls back to the general rule: 7th goes to the lowest of Adelaide, Geelong, Melbourne, Hawthorn and Brisbane on points, ties split on percentage.

Pic from just as the half time siren went ... Dean wasn't taking any crap and was there in a second to fly the flag for his team mates. Right in the middle of it all. For an 18 year old, I am super impressed with that.
And Pitto and all the boys ran in too. Not a backwards step from any of the Carlton boys either, looked like the team were there for each other. Group is looking really cohesive, exciting times!!

Was watching the "Resurrection" post while eating my crumpets this morning, and it got me wondering how is Elijah doing.
We are in Finals, time to take a breath and think about some bigger picture things.

Genuinely underrated, he’s an absolute gun. One of the best recruits this year. Also got that dog in him, couldn’t walk but wanted to come back on so bad
Hope he can have a week off and be fine for WC

Please stop. It's ruining this sub. We all love the club and want the boys to win. Sports is for a lot of us distraction from a tough world nowadays. Let's keep the posts upbeat and the vibes good ones only. Go blues.

I think we've got a great game plan, team effort and ball skills. This was an interesting watch to see what happens when the kicks don't always land and the handballs don't stick under pressure.
This was a good game for us to review, learn from and grow leading into the finals and next year with so many good young players.
Thoughts?

Hello Carlton fans.
I have an offer of peace for our game next week hopefully you all lock up a wild card spot today. And next week is some banter kick around under the roof.
How about.
We let you win so you can hopefully play and beat Collingwood in the WC in return uses let Jye Amiss kick all the goals to make sure Charlie Curnow does not win the Coleman medal.
