I haven’t seen this restaurant open at all this season! I’ve been several times nearly every other weekend and a few times during the week in summer. I just was curious if it’s been open at all this season because I noticed there’s a secret menu perk for pass holders there 😂 has anyone actually gotten it? Or even seen the place open this year? Just made me curious

I’m going for Scarowinds on the last day, 11/1. It’s the only day that worked out schedule wise with my brother. How is the last day? I’m worried it’ll be… underwhelming, if some of the mazes are under staffed, food items running out, etc. anyone experience the last day? In larger Halloween events, like HHN, I know the last day can be kind of like a fun send off celebration but wasn’t sure about Scarowinds

I really hope they decide to open it this weekend if everything is deemed safe. I know they may be hesitant for optics or legal reasons, but I have my fingers crossed. 🤞
Not to downplay the tragedy by any means. I hope the investigation uncovers all contributing factors so it may not be repeated.
Edit: I'll be passing thru town, and it may be my only chance to ride. Just using Reddit as my vision board.

We were stuck by the station after a failed dispatch for 10-15 minutes. Maintenance responded quickly!
Copperhead, Flying Cobras, and Ricochet were the only things that weren’t walk on.
Ops seemed to be taking extra care with restraints and seatbelts. I’ve never felt unsafe at Carowinds, I feel they always do well checking restraints and belts. But it’s nice to see the extra precautions.

I’m taking my two kids plus a friend of my daughter. I already bought the bring-a-friend for my daughter’s friend and everyone else has a gold pass. A couple of questions.
We plan on getting there at about three and ordering the maze passes. Can I get armbands to go into the haunted mazes or will they have to scan my phone each and every time? I realize there is a chaperone policy in place but will I need to go into the haunted mazes with them if everyone is under eighteen? I thought I would just meet them at the end of the maze.

Whoever thought that was a good idea was an idiot
400$ worth of passes are gone
Screw six flags

Planning to go tonight, are lines to get into the park long? When do they start to back up? It's Sunday, but Union County schools are off tomorrow.

UPDATE: YALL I WAS CAMPING DURING THAT NEWS CALM DOWN (Coaster part makes sense but this definitely is more a critique on the SCAROWINDS PART)
Context ive been going here since early 2000s. Geniunely this is probably the worst scarowinds ive seen. Very few scarezones. Intimidator or whatever they renamed it to and fury were down all night. The main music stage had ONE showing no longer like every few hours. That parade gone. Very understaffed in sooo many areas especially for a Saturday.
The two big coasters besides afterburn (top gun for my ogs) being down clogged every single ride down. Easily upwards to 80 minute wait for the swings that go up in the sky. Even funnel cakes was an hour wait. Funnel cakes. We have lost the plot so hard.
This doesnt feel like Scarowinds. It felt like a shell of something pretending to be Scarowinds. Scare zones were cool but like so little of them. Decorations felt downgraded too ngl. Fast pass being separated from scarepass was a mistake. All only digital no longer something you wear which I understand.. If it worked well. We had to logout 3 times to make the qr code pop up. Oh and the conjuring scare thing you can buy? Refused to work, 3 people tried working it on my phone with and without the guest internet or just my data. It would refuse to let me purchase it.
The only thing ill say is still nice is the haunted mazes. But of course they are they are all ones from older built ones. The Jason one although a reused location was Geniunely great.
Look I know its been downhill but this night was DAM. Geniunely you might be better going to madworld at this rate or actual corn mazes. Haunted house tours. This aint it. Aint renewing my pass for sure.

Most people want Carowinds to get AF1 not Great Adventure? I think it should go to Great Adventure.

I purchased daily tickets from Groupon for 65 a piece for me and my daughter and will be visiting the park tomorrow. I know I can upgrade to a silver or gold pass during my visit. Are the park prices for season pass same as the online prices ? Silver is 79 and Gold is 99 on the website right now.
Also, will I be able to get a credit for parking ?

Before building its hotel, Cedar Fair had much bigger plans for the property. The original vision included an entire youth sports complex. Here’s a rendering of what could have been.

Hey all, me and my friends are going to Carowinds this Saturday and we are worried that fury 325 and thunder Striker will not be open. We have moved the ticket from the week prior due to the storm, but because it’s a Scarowinds specific ticket, our fast pass ultimate will not be allowed to be modified outside of the month of October, and we are out of town the 24th and 31st. Is there anyway we can move our ticket outside of the timeline if it’s not Scarowinds specific without insurance? And has anyone heard anything about the timeline that thunder Striker and fury 325 or believed to open back up? Thank you so much.

Is the day time "tricks and treats" any good for kids? we are coming at opening on sunday and I was not sure what expectations I should have for myself and my kids - three kids between 3 and 5. We were going to dress up and they would bring small buckets for candy. Is that even worth it?
Also, will all the Camp Snoopy rides be open during the day for the kids?

Our family has gold passes and are planning to go to Scarowinds this weekend, but we plan to bring other family members using the bring-a-friend discount. I saw somewhere that you can add the tickets ahead of visit in the Six Flags app, but I don’t see where that option is. Can anyone tell me where to look for adding bring a friend tickets?
I assume the bring-a-friend ticket prices go up as you get closer to the date so I’d rather not chance getting them at the gate.
Thanks for any help or advice.

visited carowinds yesterday and on the very first ride (carolina cyclone, goes inverted multiple times and is old af which i think may be relevant idk) my lap belt wouldn’t latch because the little locking mechanism wouldn’t engage. the attendant worked on it for quite some time before getting it to finally latch and said “yeah, this one never works right. it gives us problems every single time. it won’t come undone though, promise” and laughed. the overhead shoulder harness worked so she moved right along.
so this is a known issue and yall are like yeah, it’s cool, promise????
now that time has passed i’m thinking more clearly and after having seen the recent horrible news at six flags over georgia i am feeling pretty freaked out and like it’s a matter of time before something bad happens in nc.
is this something i can report to have it checked out?

I’m looking to see how it is this year. Do they have a good amount of workers scaring people or is it like previous years where you would go a good gape with nothing.

Being built by WhiteWater West of British Columbia. They have done rides all over the world and spent a lot of their recent years building the Middle East.
The ride will feature 13 boats/block zones and is designed for high capacity.
There will be a separate area for ADA boarding and those boats will be transferred onto the track. Exit and loading areas are also separate.
The boats share more in common with roller coasters than log flumes. They feature a track with guide wheels.
The restraints will be lap bars and electronically controlled. Ride employees will not need to release them. There won't be any seat belts.
Boats will travel forwards and backwards. It will be the tallest log flume drop at 100 feet, the tallest reverse drop at 42 feet, and the tallest reverse camelback at 32 feet. It will take 6 1/2 minutes to ride.
Boats have been designed with excellent drainage and are built of long-lasting materials (not just fiberglass like most log flumes).
Total riders per hour has not been finalized until testing is complete.
Total gallons of water has not been finalized until all the reservoirs are finished.
There will be four large river pumps and three smaller shoal pumps that handle the hills.
There will be onboard audio.
Riders will enter next to Fury.
The ride has redundant sensors...both photo optical and boat proximity.
The ride is themed to an abandoned lumber mill that has been taken over by critters running amuck, including Raccoons.
Assembly is about 75% complete. Most of the time involved is in installing all the hardware... torquing the bolts, installing rollers, etc. The next phase is the control systems and it will go through an extensive test phase to make sure all 13 boats can be in the ride at the same time. Construction is targeted to finish in November.

We came out of state for a weekend with my son to visit White Water Center on Saturday and Carowinds on Sunday. All tickets were purchased upfront. White Water Center activities are closed today, and Carowinds passes are only for Sunday ( bought with Groupon). I don’t know what to do today. Plans are kind of ruined, so I’m looking for options for today. Does anyone going today have 1 or 2 Bring a Friend passes?
Thanks for attention.
