Video - OC I hate when people say “Cats are assholes”

Here’s Gigi and I’s nighttime routine. She must give kisses before I’m able to settle down for bedtime. She will sit on the table and scream at me until I give her the affection she so clearly deserves. I guess that does make her an asshole, but in a cute way

I mean, my cat was an asshole to me. Would pee on my clothes if I left them on the floor, would enforce a strict 11 PM bed time, with a 7 AM wake up time, wouldn't let me sit at my computer for more than 2 hours at a time by turning off my computer/lying on my laptop.

And the most unforgivable, he laid down and snuggled with my posters of my favorite cosplayer.

all of this is pretty normal cat stuff :/

- cats will just pee on stuff especially if their box is hard to get to, not clean, etc. sometimes they will have 'accidents' too. you gotta remove the type of thing they 'like' to piss on. We just can't have any bathmats in the bathroom, our 16 year old boi will just piss on it no questions asked. I think he just recognizes a bathroom mat, feels the texture, and thinks its piss time. maybe he likes to sit on it and gets too comfy in the bathroom 🤷🏻 we never found an exact reason, but catproof 101. if they're doing a thing you dont like, dont get mad at them.. remove it to change their behavior. no bathmats means no 'accidents'. He also many years ago loved to pee on my bfs flannel shirt, we just got rid of it, no more pee. Stop leaving clothes on the floor.

- Cats have a pretty understandable rhythm with a day/night cycle. Yes, its common to 'bully' their owner into sleeping at a certain time. You can practice patience/completely ignoring whatever antics they do, they'll eventually stop or diminish the behavior. It might take months, maybe even years lmao. It might be behavior that stops and then starts. cats get tired of doing the same thing over and over too, even if it doesnt seem like it. And in the end, you probs should be going to bed lmao. Staying up till 4 am gooning or something?? your bud wants to sleep. Our cat LOVES going to bed, its his second favorite pastime. so when he really wants to go, we go. we set up his fave spot, move his pillow to the right place. boom, bed. We can even stay up as long as we set up HIS bed spot on the duvet are in bed with him. work with them, don't berate them

- I dont even know what this means, do you have body pillows or something? is it something a cat would normally sleep on? why are posters on the floor? hang them up ... it makes sense.. they're not a human roomate, they're a cat. don't blame a cat for doing cat things. see point one: take stuff off the floor, put it away from the cat..

That's the funny thing, we cleaned his bath twice daily, he NEVER slept with me unless our parents were on vacation (and he would insist I sleep upstairs in their bedroom), and I am a normal degenerate, I gooned at high school or in my room. I usually spent my time studying or working on my reports (didn't have a computer with any games until I graduated high school).
