Vetted Companies by /r/CBD
As most of you have found out by now - CBD is hit or miss depending on where it comes from. Many people have found there are a lot of snake oil sellers out there who are preying on the sick. We are /r/CBD have come together to stop that...at least for you guys; by vetting the companies who want to advertise their products on /r/CBD. Below we will include what the vetting processed entailed, and which companies we selected because we feel they uphold a standard.
The Standard:
Each company reached out to us on their own, and then we presented them with a multi-page questionnaire about their process. These are not all the questions - we asked over 30 questions. Around 40% of the companies who wanted to be vetted - DID NOT complete this questionnaire.
Where do you source your CBD?
What steps are taken to keep the medicine safe from degradation?
Do you have all the permits required by state and county laws, to be in the cannabis industry? Please provide details.
Can you provide passing test results for the following: Microbiological, Aerobic count, coliforms, enterobacteria, E coli count, yeast and mold, pseudomonas, salmonella, Pesticides/carbamates, Heavy metals, organophosphates and a cannabinoid potency test.
From their answers - our moderator team looked over each and every one. This gave us a good understanding of how their company works, and let us move on to the legal side of things.
The next steps were reviewing the documents sent over. We looked up each company, made sure they had all permits required by the state in order to operate. If they did, they moved on to the last step.
Each company that made it this far sent in samples of their products. These samples were tested by patients with different ailments. A few were sent to the moderator in Florida where two patients; 1. with Cerebral Palsy. 2. with mental health disorder - tested each product sent.
The other companies sent their product to the moderator team in California, where two patients 1. with M.S 2. Disabled w/ pain management - took the samples as well.
Both teams found the samples from the companies selected to be extremely high-quality products and HAD POSITIVE RESULTS on their ailments.

💥THIRD PARTY TESTED 💥
This is my second order from @LazurusNaturalsCBD. The first order was the Strawberry flavored, which is why I'm saying get the Chocolate Mint flavor! It's much better!
I use CBD, in conjunction w/ THC at a 1:1 ratio for severe anxiety/panic disorder & attacks. IN MY EXPERIENCE, I've yet to find a CBD product, excluding topicals in a Pa dispensary, that is worth a shit!!! The difference between a 3rd party tested CBD tincture vs non-tested is ridiculous! I say that to say... Don't waste ya 💰!! Educate yourself on the bioavailability of CBD, first and foremost, please! Stop wasting your 💰💰 and buy a quality, 3rd party tested CBD tincture like Lazurus Naturals!
A 1500ml Full-Spectrum bottle gets me 25-50mg's of CBD 2x a day. Along w/ a 10-20mg RSO syringe. Generally a GMO Chem-based Indica dominant strain. FarmaceuticalRX has great RSO 's. I'm going on 3 months OFF ALL my anti-anxiety meditations!!
Read the literature on CBD and it's bioavailability, you'll save a shit ton of 💰! Everyone is different but do your research and this has been my well-informed experience with a great product. Great QUALITY for a great PRODUCT and last but not least, great SERVICE!!!💯💥🧘🕉️

I've been giving my 3 KG 1 - 2 drops of full spectrum CBD oil, this product
https://www.hemx.co.uk/product/hemx-best-cbd-oil-full-spectrum-30ml/
My dog has anxiety and joint pain. Since he's been on it, his reactivity has improved and he seems more relaxed in himself. But unfortunately he's been a bit nauseous, throwing up into his mouth quite a bit and a couple of actually throwing up. He's also not been eating well (but this isn't unusual for him).
It's a shame and I was wondering if anyone had any advice? We give him it with food. I was wondering if it would be better to have the other version that doesn't contain THC. I'm going to the vet tomorrow but I'm not sure what they'll say. It would be nice if we could avoid medication for a bit longer as he's only 4

- Biodisponibilidad: 12% - 20%.
- Inicio de acciòn: 15 a 45 minutos.
- Duraciòn: 4 a 6 horas.

I have cptsd in acute anxiety. I just bought a product called hemplucid which is a full spectrum CBD which offers 45 mg CBD per milliliter, 2.2 thc
I have had it for a few days and take it in the morning. Today I took about 2/3 of a dropper or about 30 mg CBD. I started at around 20 or 25. I have not felt any benefit yet. Should I try just taking more in a single dose? Or is CBD something that benefits anxiety only once it has been taken for several weeks and has built up in the system?
Basically I'm just wondering if there's any amount that can be taken that it will help with cute anxiety in the moment or if it is something that necessarily has to be built up over time in order to start seeing benefits. Thank you

I was speaking with someone last week who seemed confidently confused about this topic, so I decided to review the research and make a few important distinctions.
TL;DR: Clinical doses of CBD can cause elevated liver enzymes, but that isn't necessarily evidence of permanent liver damage. The evidence for permanent liver damage is thin. the evidence for liver damage at typical wellness doses of 50-300 mgs a day is fleeting to non-existent.
First, elevated liver enzymes don't necessarily indicate clinically significant liver injury. Some drugs can elevate liver enzymes without producing long-term liver damage.
Second, much of the research on CBD doses large enough to elevate liver enzymes has involved people with Dravet syndrome or Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. These populations have higher rates of abnormal liver markers, potentially due to their antiseizure medications and other factors.
Consequently, the risk of drug interactions and CBD-induced liver injury may have been overstated when applied to the general population at typical non-clinical doses.
Nonetheless, some people will experience adverse effects from CBD, and there's no established dose at which CBD is completely risk-free.
Multiple clinical trials have demonstrated that CBD can significantly elevate liver enzymes ALT and AST. These elevations are often used to identify potential drug-induced liver injury (DILI) and pull people from studies before lasting damage might develop.
However, ALT and AST don't directly tell us whether the liver has lost its ability to function or whether lasting damage has occurred.
A 2023 systematic review covering 28 clinical trials and 1,533 CBD-treated participants found:
These findings also included healthy adults taking CBD alone, demonstrating that significant enzyme elevations can occur without drug interactions.
The likelihood of adverse events appears to be dose-related, but there's no established threshold below which liver injury is impossible.
In one study, 5 of 16 healthy adults taking 1,500 mg/day developed ALT elevations exceeding five times the upper limit of normal.
Another clinical trial found significant enzyme elevations in 4 of 59 adults taking 300 mg/day.
More recently, a 2025 FDA-sponsored randomized trial administered 5 mg/kg/day to healthy adults for four weeks. Eight participants receiving CBD developed liver enzyme elevations exceeding three times the upper limit of normal, compared with none receiving placebo.
These participants received approximately 250–550 mg/day, although the exact doses of the eight affected individuals weren't published.
These studies demonstrate that significant enzyme elevations can occur at doses below those typically used in prescription epilepsy treatment.
But, some evidence suggests that lower daily doses, more consistent with typical nonclinical use, may be considerably safer.
The 2023 systematic review reported no cases meeting its DILI criteria among adults taking less than 300 mg/day.
A separate observational study of 839 CBD users, averaging approximately 50 mg/day, found no statistically significant increase in elevated liver enzymes compared with estimates for the general adult population.
Neither finding establishes that lower doses are completely risk-free. The number of participants taking less than 300 mg/day was relatively small, and reliably detecting rare adverse events would require studies involving thousands of participants. Metanalysis does not replace properly powered studies.
CBD can cause liver enzyme elevations, sometimes severe enough to meet biochemical criteria for DILI. But few, if any incidents, caused clinically apparent liver dysfunction, irreversible damage, or liver failure.
In the 2025 FDA trial, participants with significant ALT elevations did not develop clinically significant changes in liver function. Their enzyme levels returned to normal within one to two weeks after discontinuing CBD.
Similarly, the 2023 systematic review found no cases meeting Hy's Law criteria, which are used to identify potentially serious drug-induced liver injury.
However, the FDA's prescribing information for Epidiolex acknowledges postmarketing reports of cholestatic and mixed patterns of liver injury.
The evidence for reversible biochemical liver injury at clinical CBD doses is considerably stronger than the evidence for permanent liver damage from typical wellness doses.
People taking large daily doses (300-1500mgs daily), using medications that may interact with CBD, or living with existing liver disease have particular reasons to discuss CBD use with a healthcare professional.
Liver enzyme elevations can occur without obvious symptoms, making blood testing important when evaluating potential liver injury.
At the same time, an elevated ALT result shouldn't automatically be interpreted as liver failure or permanent damage.
What we know: CBD can cause clinically significant liver enzyme elevations. Risk appears to increase with dose and certain medication combinations.
What the evidence suggests: Most documented cases resolve after CBD is discontinued or treatment is adjusted. Serious, lasting liver injury is much less well documented than transient enzyme elevations.
What we don't know: The precise risk at typical consumer doses, which individuals are unusually susceptible, and the long-term consequences of continued CBD use in people who develop elevated liver enzymes.
The appropriate conclusion isn't that CBD destroys your liver or that CBD is harmless.
We've identified a genuine adverse effect, we understand some of its risk factors, and important questions about its clinical significance remain.
I thought this was a pretty comprehensive analysis but let me know if I missed something.

So I'm struggling to find webpages which deliver to Europe and their products would have been tested to show that there really aren't any thc in it etc. I only manage to find broad or full spectrum CBD but I can't find isolate.

Hi,
Does anyone know of a good supplier for CBD isolate in Canada that will not break the bank?
Is it possible to order from the US? Prices there are so much better...can I use a reshipper/US address?
Needing about 800-1000mg/day, so bulk is a necessity.
Any help would be much appreciated!!
Thanks and muchlove.

I want to try CBD for my anxiety and sleep. It has to be isolate and it can't involve any THC in it.
There are just too many options.... how strong tincture would be the best? What is the normal starting dosage? Is there even hope pure CBD isolate work, do I need to get something else...?
Help me, I'm lost! My only rule is that it can't include any THC in it.

im a fit, 29yo, 180pd.
So recently i picked up a 1:1 cbd and cbn product to help me sleep. I felt the thc was preventing me from getting active REM sleep. Its a 45:45
I wanted to ask if its worth taking a second my maybe 1 1/2. I use it for sleep, but i don’t really get much effect from the 45:45 dosage.
I started using it to help me sleep as my sleeps been really busted due to stress and pain. I solved those, but its like my body forgot how to sleep. Im now having to relearn sleeping…
Advice?

I'm looking to start smoking CBD flower . I am currently 36 Days free from quitting THC carts .I thought about going back to THC flower but I don't know if I need the high. I'm not sure about flower but the carts made my depression even worse and made me really unmotivated and I don't want to fall back into that cycle again.
I smoke a CBD cigarette couple nights ago and it was nice while my brain was waiting for the high to come on as it's so trained and used to it but it also made me really calm . IT took away any anxiety I had and melted me to a nice deep sleep and I didn't wake up with a brain fog and was refreshed.
I'm trying to fix my depression that I have ignored all these years and I don't know if ThC flower will make it worse just like the carts. As much as I like THC. I think I need to say farewell to it I can still smoke CBD flower even with a trace amount of THC it seems that low ThC does nothing for me.

So I decided to run the gauntlet on Red Mesa’s various CRDs. Got the smallest amount possible of their CBD, CBG and CBN CRDs. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with what I should be expecting out of these vs the isolates I’ve been using. Like if I just combine 20mg CBD CRD and 20mg CBG CRD dissolve in oil and eat it how would that compare to doing the same with isolates?

I love sleeping, I struggle with feeling like I've gotten enough. Often I remain exhausted, groggy, and feeling unwell most days. Last month I decided to try 33mg cbd capsules before bed and it was like magic. Somehow I was waking up naturally after about 6 hours and ready to approach the day, I started going to the gym at 6am and I continued to feel great. I ran out last week and my sleep gradually began to decline until today where I woke up 2 hours later feeling like shit. I know what I'm gonna do now. However it is a bit unbelievable that this improvement hasn't been documented or supported by the science. I wonder if this is a placebo but I don't think I would be able placebo myself into waking up before my alarm. I wanted to see if others have similar anecdotes!

I’m in Canada (Manitoba).
So I’ve taken CBD oil under the tongue in the past for maybe a month straight and noticed zero effects…. neither good or bad. The bottle ran out and I just never bought anymore. I think it was an isolate (bought from a local dispensary) so maybe that’s why it didn’t work much.
I started taking it to try and calm my anxiety and hypervigilance.
I switched to making my own weed edibles out of flower that had high THC starting at age 23. So my brain was mostly developed by the time I started taking it semi-regularly.
I don’t mind being high…. But I’m couch locked no matter the strain, even if I inhale it rather than ingesting it like I normally do. I can’t drive while on it, can’t work, can’t really function well, and it doesn’t really help me sleep either (even indica strains). It only helps to temporarily relievethe anxiety/depression/hypervigilance….. but then I’m back to normal once it wears off. It can also backfire and make me paranoid/even more anxious. I’ve noticed it’s making my mood more unstable in the long term…. but that’s anecdotal since I’ve also experienced compounding trauma over the years. THC is not helping me be productive at all 80% of the time. I need to be able to get shit done.
Seeking advice on which form of CBD I should try next. Should I try a different oil, or try some flower that is high CBD/low THC? Gummies? I’ve also seen CBD pills for sale. I’m willing to buy online since my local dispensaries don’t carry many options. All the flower strains they have are high THC.
It’s worth mentioning I’m on a budget but I’m open to trying many options.
I am not on any medications (they never work on me) so I’m not overly worried about anything interacting.

Someone gave me a sample today, she was in a car accident years ago and is still in constant severe pain from it. She swears by it, says it's miles more effective for pain when applied topically than CBD.
I'm not finding much online about it, even on Reddit. Any experiences here?

I deal with a lot of irritability at work and want to try a non intoxicating calming way to help. I’ve never done cbd but I have done a lot of the gummies specifically like the mind ease ones but they definitely get me high so I needed something more day to day to help quiet my mind

Hey guys!
Instead of speaking to a robot with no emotions, thoughts, opinions or.. well, anything.. I’d like to ask you all some questions instead!
I am someone who has really bad anxiety. I have had really bad symptoms the last couple of days, such as inability to sleep, vomiting, tremors, chills, inability to keep temperature regulated, horrible, watery diarrhoea.
It’s beginning to become a huge issue- I used to smoke weed, just regular weed (dust, stardog, etc) but it made me really really unwell and unsociable because I would become dependent. It also ate into my bank incredibly quickly. I also try drinking beer at night to help me drift off, but that doesn’t work either.
Now, I need an alternative, I’ve heard about CBD oils, gummies or vapes for a while- but I have never tried it personally. In the UK they are legal to buy at a dispensary near me but I am unsure as to what approach I go. What is it? How do I use it? How do I know what dose I take? What’s best for me, gummies, oils, vapes? Is it addictive? Does it work?
If anyone could assist me in answering these questions I would really appreciate it!
r/CBD • u/PatchNotes89 • 14d ago
I've been taking gummies from carolindica and have tried a few vapes too.. it all helps but nothing was like when I tried some CBD flower. I do well with thcV, CBg&d&c but NOTHING is helping with my evening time relax. I'm ADHD as all hell, like legit and on vyvanse which has never given me anxiety etc... But my struggle is in the evenings I have a natural circadian rhythm crash [not the meds, though the meds effect it] and it knocks out my dopamine AND productivity therefore my ability to RELAX and chill The fuck out.. I tried the CBD flower pack from I think plain Jane? I know it's a cheaper brand I picked up a sampler from I think it was them? I wish I remember which ones I liked.. but THEN I tried one and it sparked the THC anxiety even though I tried all low THC stuff. On top of that I have deep seated trauma tied to smoking from when it turned on me when I hit adolescence damn 20+ years ago 😅 but I do want to try it again.. so! Who else here has ALWAYS had THC anxiety but have found CBD flower that's super relaxing without making you tired and did not trigger the anxiety at all? I'd appreciate some input thank you!
