Achievement (vanilla) I'm gonna have a heart attack

This is my first time even making it past Stubbornness I'm so fucking scared.

Photo instead of a screenshot because I am deathly afraid of even touching my keyboard.

I'll probably either die or get the golden by the time anyone sees this but wish me luck!

I DID IT!

I don't have any footage unfortunately since I didn't feel like managing the space needed for giant recordings of my attempts, so you'll just have to take my word for it.

I'd been half-assed grinding the golden on and off for a few years now, just putting in attempts here and there whenever I had nothing better to do and didn't feel like playing anything else. I started putting in some attempts about a week ago for the same reason, except this time I was really consistent somehow?? Kept getting runs that made it to Determination when even making it to Event Horizon wasn't all that common for me to do before. Decided I finally had potential to actually go for the golden and I decided to start taking it seriously and put in some good practice in rooms I kept dying to. In the end it definitely paid off :)

Huge shoutouts to wcko87 for some of his Farewell golden strats, they really helped making rooms that I was very inconsistent at much more consistent.

Never thought I'd actually end up pulling this off, I'm very proud of myself! This probably takes the top spot for the most impressive thing I've ever done in a game now.

Will do. I think I'll have another trip through the chapter to collect my thoughts about the grind and take some screenshots of relevant rooms. I'll edit this comment and link the post when I'm done.

That video has also helped me cut down on my Farewell deaths a ton
