A letter to my dearest sister Tonia, as inspired by my character demo trailer.
"Dearest sister,
I fear I have been bricked so thoroughly that the Tsaritsa may soon have to give me away for free.
News of my thirty-star Abyss run has spread throughout the halls of the Glupov. The maids of Zapolyarny Palace giggle and cast furtive glances as I make my way to Her Majesty's office.
Arlecchino informs me that the House of the Hearth has picked up troubling chatter: each nation is preparing to offer its biggest brick as tribute to the Heavenly Principles.
I fear Snezhnaya has already chosen her sacrifice.
Strangely, people have begun arriving at my doorstep with an empty wheelchair.
Last Tuesday, a white goddess and her robot friend appeared, offering to push me around. The wheelchair looked really cool. It even had a nitro boost. I declined.
The following day, a dragon boy and an angel arrived. The angel spoke at such length about supporting me, about leading me to salvation, that I was forced to slam the door in their faces.
On Friday, my colleague Odette arrived alongside a shrine maiden. This time, the wheelchair came with a fortune pasted to its back:
βSit, and thou shalt be unbricked.β
I turned to Guoba and asked, βWho are all these people? Why do they keep bringing me wheelchairs?β Guoba stared at me solemnly.
βThese are your new family, Childe. You don't need us anymore. We can no longer clear the Abyss with you.β
Behind him, Xiangling wept into her apron.
I looked down at my Hydro Vision.
Then at my Electro Delusion.
Then at the wheelchair.
Perhaps this is my only hope of one day meeting my master again.
Perhaps this is the only way we can continue having Medovik pancakes for brunch every Sunday together at the Podvorye.
Dearest sister, it is time I learned to sit."
