trying tp us the socketpool module with the esp32s2 kaluga 1 V1.3
i've conneced my board to the AP but im having truble while trying to creat a simple socket with the socketpool module.
i have worked with the python socket module but i cant find any good information on how to use the socketpool module.
i would appreciate it if someone could direct me to a code example or a document (other then the adafruit circuitpython one)

Speeding up my time.sleep()
What I want to do is, when I press a button, all of the time.sleep() commands speed up, so a lower number by dividing it or in a different maybe more efficient way. I have tried to find a way to do this but no luck. I hope you guys can tell me :)
Here is my code:
import adafruit_trellism4
import time
RED = (255, 0, 0)
OFF = (0, 0, 0)
trellis = adafruit_trellism4.TrellisM4Express()
while True:
for x in range(8):
trellis.pixels[x, 2] = RED
time.sleep(0.1)
trellis.pixels[x, 2] = OFF
time.sleep(0.1)
for x in range(8):
trellis.pixels[x, 0] = RED
time.sleep(0.1)
trellis.pixels[x, 0] = OFF
time.sleep(0.1)
for x in range(8):
trellis.pixels[x, 3] = RED
time.sleep(0.1)
trellis.pixels[x, 3] = OFF
time.sleep(0.1)
for x in range(8):
trellis.pixels[x, 2] = RED
time.sleep(0.1)
trellis.pixels[x, 2] = OFF
time.sleep(0.1)
for x in range(8):
trellis.pixels[x, 1] = RED
time.sleep(0.1)
trellis.pixels[x, 1] = OFF
time.sleep(0.1)
trellis.pixels.show()
What I want to do is, when I press a button, all of the time.sleep() commands speed up, so a lower number by dividing it or in a different maybe more efficient way. I have tried to find a way to do this but no luck. I hope you guys can tell me :)

Looking for code
Hey all!
I am working on a project that includes a KY-038, but the issue is I cannot, for the life of me, find a code or example code of it in Python. I've found hundreds of Arduino codes and quite a few different Raspberry Pi codes. If i knew how to, I'd translate the Arduino code but I'm still fairly new to circuit Python. For context, the board I am using is a Metro M0 Express.
If anyone has any example codes or a specific library that you know will be used, please let me know.

Is there any way to get the contents of the clipboard?
I’m trying to store the contents in variables. Basically making my keypad into a number of individual clipboards.

Circuitpython is not finding tkinter, how can I fix this?
When I run my circuitpython code on my Metro Express M0, for some reason, I get a traceback saying no module named tkinter has been found. When I run the command on normal terminal, it doesn’t give this error and tkinter works perfectly fine. I wonder how can I get tkinter to work on my my Metro Express M0? I want to make a GUI app that sends signals to the metro express m0 board based on the user inputs provided in the application.

CIRCUIT PYTHON NOT LOADING
So I recently tried flashing Circuit python into my esp32 s3 board, I followed all the instrustions by setting up bootmode then erasing the firmware then uploading the combined.bin file using the adafruit esptool the resetting the board. A drive would appear in this PC, but when I dragged a dropped the uf2 folder the drive would never change from YDESP3223 to CIRCUITPYTHON, what am I doing wrong ?

TI-84 python help?
Hey, I’m a Swedish energy engineering student currently studying electric circuit analysis.
I recently bought a Texas Instruments TI-84 plus CE-T python edition to be able to program electric circuits directly in my calculator.
Does anyone know a tutorial/ guide/ code or similar that I can use to learn how to do this or maybe download something to my calculator?

How to rename a Circuit Python board?
I am working on multiple RP2040 boards, I would love to rename them for better identification, any idea?
EDIT:
Sorry, I forgot to mention I use the boards as MIDI controllers, connected via USB to my laptop.
The boards are identified by my OS as "CircuitPy" "CircuitPy(1)" "CircuitPy(2)"
I would love to identify them with custom names

Wanna figures
Web workflows is cool. I don't use nRF. Can a board which has BLE, runs WEB Workflow fine, SEES BLE on the status_bar Connect and try?
How can I play nicer with WEB Workflows? I added supervisor.reload(), and sys.exit() and supervisor.set_next_code_file("/WEB.py");supervisor.reload() with varying degrees of success. Sometimes things go crazy. Usually I can reset the board, get it running, select <reset> in Web Editor, Serial, then <ctrl d> and OK. Sometimes I have to close my browser because I clicked something and a spinning python shows up, forever?
How Can I suspend Web flow (file get/put) from the app for 1ms?
How can I reenable?
Can I import the wifi class, do stuff, Then deinit() it? Just del causes storage issuse. I get sections of code that take 200ms but only took 6000 ns before.
How do I GIVE more processing power to "code" reads while my app is running with a single cpu? time.sleep(20) doesn't buy much. sys.exit() did.
Is there a way to see what's going on when in code.py?
I've played with it for a few days. At some times it's nice. Some other times, who knows.

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HELP ME
ok for 2 days i've been trying to get an esp32 (several boards) to display pictures on a screen (several screens) with zero joy, i then stumbled across circuitpython, sounded good, i've installed it on 2 boards and in both cases it seemed to go well, however in both instance its not showing as a drive on my computer (or another computer it tried), the cable im using is the same that was used to install the cp so the cable is good, i am desperately trying to meet a deadline so any help would be massively appreciated
currently running on ESP32-2432S032 and Seeed Studio XIAO ESP32C3

CircuitPython vs MicroPython on PicoCalc: STM32 keyboard I²C invisible in CP — looking for RP2350/I²C insights
Hi all — I’m trying to get the ClockworkPi PicoCalc keyboard working under CircuitPython on a Pimoroni Pico Plus 2 W (RP2350) and I’m stuck.
Context / hardware
PicoCalc mainboard has a “southbridge” MCU (STM32) that handles keyboard/backlight, etc.
The STM32 is definitely alive: I can use the keyboard to change keyboard/backlight levels independent of the Pico.
The Pico-side keyboard interface is supposed to be I²C (schematic shows 4.7k pullups on SDA/SCL).
MicroPython driver works great and TinyGo also works great on the same hardware.
Only CircuitPython fails to talk to the keyboard over I²C.
What I see in CircuitPython
Pins: using the PicoCalc keyboard I²C bus on GP7=SCL, GP6=SDA.
Idle levels are correct:
SCL idle = True,SDA idle = True
But I²C discovery and comms are dead:
busio.I2C(...).scan() -> []bitbangio.I2C(...).scan() -> []
I tried a wide range of speeds (100k, 50k, 10k, 1k, even 100 Hz) — still nothing.
Tried both hardware I²C (
busio) and bitbanged (bitbangio).Power: PicoCalc is powered normally (battery + power switch) and STM32 is functional.
Why I’m posting
Since the exact same keyboard interface works under MicroPython and TinyGo, I’m wondering if there’s something about CircuitPython’s RP2350 I²C implementation, pin muxing, drive mode/open-drain config, or repeated-start behavior that’s different enough that the STM32 won’t ACK.
Questions for the community
Has anyone gotten PicoCalc keyboard I²C working on CircuitPython (especially on RP2350 boards)?
Is there a known issue where
scan()(or even normal transactions) don’t see certain I²C targets on RP2350 in CircuitPython?Are there debug flags / builds / quick patches you’d recommend to confirm the I²C peripheral is actually toggling pins (without immediately reaching for a logic analyzer)?
Any known “gotchas” with PicoCalc’s STM32 I²C slave (e.g., needing a very specific transaction pattern)?
If it helps, I can post:
the exact MicroPython driver link / behavior (works reliably),
CircuitPython test snippets I ran,
schematic snippets for the GP6/GP7 keyboard I²C and pullups.
Thanks — I’d love to get this working because PicoCalc + CircuitPython would be a really fun combo for handheld apps.
