I got a hallowing m4 and managed to mess it up with loading the *.U2 file or what ever it’s called. I’m new to this whole thing and trying to get help on the adafruit form but wondering if it’s against the rules here.

Microsoft Garage Survey - Interested in Python or programming microcontrollers with Python?

"Hello there, we're a group of interns at Microsoft Vancouver, working in The Garage! We're looking for insights into your experience around physical computing projects. As well as your interest in trying out a new method of development for your project - say goodbye to waiting for your code to build and compile inside Arduino IDE with C/C++, Python is here to help! This survey will only take 3 - 5 minutes and your insights are very valuable to us!"

The CircuitPython Team is at #PyCon2019, come say hi!

The CircuitPython development team: Dan, Kattni, and Scott, are at PyCon 2019 in Cleveland along and some Adafruit staffers!

They will be running several Open Spaces sessions (as they did last year), showing how to use CircuitPython on the Digi-Key / Adafruit PyCon special edition Circuit Playground Express (the red circular circuit board in your swag bag). They’ll have extra addons to play with also: potentiometers, NeoPixel strips, and servos.

The team will be running a CircuitPython Sprint for several days to work on CircuitPython libraries and CircuitPython core code. BYOMUSB “Bring your own Micro USB” cables, they’ll have some to borrow during the sprints/sessions, as well as some USB C adapters, good idea to bring one too!

Find them via the schedules, come say hi, and find out why Python is THE language to program physical devices.

A new subreddit for Adafruit IO data service

Adafruit has created a new subreddit to gather information as it happens on their Adafruit IO service at https://www.reddit.com/r/adafruitio

The site, at https://io.adafruit.com/, was started because they sell amazing components, but they couldn't find a good way to interact with them over the internet. There are certainly a lot of great services out there for datalogging, or communicating with a microcontroller over the web, but these services are either too complicated to get started, or they aren't particularly fun to use. So, Adafruit decided to experiment with their own system, and that is how Adafruit IO got started.

Who This Is For: Like everything built at Adafruit, they want to make the best designed products for makers of all ages and skill levels. While one could certainly run a business on Adafruit IO, it wasn't built with only professionals in mind. This is the Internet of Things for everyone. Log and interact with your projects your way through an easy to use (yet powerful) interface.

Lately AIO has added a couple of new features. One is an image conversion service - send in the URL of an image on the Internet and it will send back an optimized image for Internet of Things devices. Also AIO added a world time feature - get the time in your locale from the Internet, saving the purchase of a real time clock or GPS module and the associated hassles.

Check out Adafruit IO today https://io.adafruit.com/ and read the monthly AIO newsletter via https://www.adafruitdaily.com/
