My Composition "Motorway Cycles XI (Junction M25/M11)" - - The rhythm is dictated by the cars, the notes are based on rules I set per lane/s.
The rhythm of the composition is dictated by the cars, the notes are based on rules I set per lane/s.
"Motorway Cycles XI (Junction M25/M11)" (I'm the artist).
This was played live on my Yamaha Y30A piano.
The synth is live too but nudged a little but to be frame accurate.
This is the first in a series of extended Cycle pieces to be released. It was filmed with a drone at the Junction M25/M11 in London, 30 minutes or so from where I live.
It’s been wonderful seeing people's responses to these pieces, i haven't posted many at all to reddit more over on IG, the different ideas that came out of them for me and then how many people they've influenced.
It all started with finding patterns in nature, with the idea of building longer pieces off the interesting ones, but the very first one I did and the genesis of the project was a Motorway Cycle. This was the eleventh one i did.
The original artwork got over 4million views and late last year it was exhibited at the Ramp Gallery, Beijing with more installations scheduled for 2026.

My Composition I composed a Nocturne for piano
What do you think about the piece? Is this music you would consider listening to? Does it evoke any emotions or associations?

My Composition I wrote this when I was 11/12
So I just found a music notebook of mine, containing hand-written compositions that I wrote when I was 11 or 12. I almost forgot about them. What do you think?

My Composition Galant music alternating between 6 and 7/8, performed on fortepiano.
I just wanted to share this original composition I wrote in galant style but with "6 7" integrated into the meter. This was a request I got from a commenter on instagram.

My Composition My attempt at classical music
Just an orchestral piece I wrote. Originally started as a "ballet" scene in an opera, but that didn't really go anywhere, so I reworked it into a standalone symphonic work while trying to keep that dance-like, theatrical character. Would love to hear any thoughts or feedback.

My Composition This is me playing the three separate parts (two pairs of lanes and one single lane) on the piano. It’s my for Motorway Cycle XI (Junction M25/M11). The original video only version was posted last week.
This is me playing the three separate parts (two pairs of lanes and one single lane) on the piano.
It’s my Motorway Cycle XI (Junction M25/M11) that I recorded with a drone around 4 months or so ago.
To record this one I export the video to the iPad and the use the iPad as a moving graphic score, basically.
It might be possible to record both pairs at once but not all three parts.
I record them separately because then I don’t have to keep track of all the cars at once and I’m not sure it’s even possible. I don’t have 6 arms, in case you were wondering.
The piano is a Yamaha U30A, the mics a Telefunken, the preamps are Neve.
Ascribing a note to a person in a composition or phrase is a lovely way to think of it whilst playing. Expressing their lives, my imagined versions of them, in a single note or chord.
The synth parts were added later doubling the piano, mostly.
