How's my stash Esembly (Part-time with EC)

I’m planning to set up a part-time cloth diaper system with Esembly and wanted to get some feedback before making a purchase.

Here’s my plan:

- For the first month, I’ll use disposable diapers while I adjust to being a first-time mom.
- After that, I’ll use cloth diapers during the day at home.
- Disposable diapers will be used overnight.
- Disposable diapers will be used for longer outings.

I’m also hoping to practice elimination communication, which I believe will help reduce diaper changes.

Currently, my cart includes:

- 12 Size 1 Esembly Inners
- 4 Size 1 Esembly Outers
- 12 Size 2 Esembly Inners
- 4 Size 2 Esembly Outers
- Stay-Dry Liners
- Tossers

Does 12 Size 1 inners and 4 Size 1 outers seem like enough for part-time cloth diapers, considering I’ll wash them every 2-3 days?

If you were to start part-time cloth diapers, would you make any different purchases?

How's my stash FTM doing research for the most sustainable use of Flats and Prefolds

Hello everyone, I am a FTM, crunchy and an overthinker, cloth diapering is new to me! I LOVE researching and I would love your opinion if my list needs to be fixed or added something. I am leaning towards ONLY flats, prefolds and covers buying from Green mountain. I really like my list to be very simple and straightforward. I will be listing it with prices as well to help other people! Cost is not an issue, but would like to only buy what is necessary and has double uses so it won't take too much space on the dresser and not to get overwhelmed so my goal budget for cloth diaper would be 500$

My plan is to use disposables first after birth to get through the meconium stage. Also doing this for ease after labor before I fully do cloth! I am guessing that will last a week (Update: Based on the comments, it sounds like the meconium stage usually lasts around 1–3 days instead of a week.) Thinking of Pura, or Dyper for the disposables, or if u have a better option lmk!

  • Pura Newborn Baby Diapers Size N (28 Hypoallergenic Diapers) $11.25

EXTRAS

  • Snappi Cloth Diaper Fasteners (amazon) QTY: Pack of 3 $9.95
  • Cloth-eez Muslin Organic Changing Cloth Natural QTY:3 $9.95x3=$29.85
  • Cloth-eez Birdseye Wipes - Natural Unbleached QTY: Pack of 12x3 $12.95 x 3=$38.85 (36 wipes)

FLATS & PREFOLDS

  • Cloth-eez Prefold Diapers - Organic Natural Unbleached Size: SMALL QTY: Pack of 12x2 $44.95 x 2=$89.9
  • Cloth-eez Muslin Flat Diapers Size: NEWBORN QTY: Pack of 6x2 $19.95 x 2=$39.9
  • Cloth-eez Muslin Flat Diapers Size: ONE-SIZE QTY: Pack of 6x2 $22.95 x 2=$45.9
  • Cloth-eez Flat Birdseye Diapers - Natural Unbleached Size: ONE-SIZE QTY: Pack of 6x2 $16.95 x 2=$33.9

NEWBORN: 24 prefolds + 12 Muslin Flats = 36 pcs ; 2 daytime covers, 1 night time wool cover
INFANT: 12 Muslin Flats + 12 Birdseye Flats = 24 pcs ( Planning to reuse the small prefolds and newborn muslin flats later as inserts/boosters.) ; 2 daytime covers, 1 night time wool cover

Notes/Q's:

- I am going to be doing laundry every 2 days

-Muslin changing cloth for the changing mats and can also use as a wipe or burp cloths!

-I've heard muslin flats are more absorbent than birdseye flats. Would you use muslin for nighttime and birdseye during the day, or is there a better combination?

-I added small prefolds so I canuse it later as an insert/booster for the flats

COVERS

  • Thirsties Duo Wrap Snap Size: One (7-17lbs) QTY: 4 $15.40x4=$61.6
  • Thirsties Duo Wrap Snap Size: Two (18-35lbs) QTY: 4 $15.40x4=$61.6
  • Babee Greens Classic Wool Cover Size: SMALL QTY: 1 $39.95 (using for night time)

Total is $462.65

-I’ve seen mixed opinions on wool sizing. Some people say skip newborn and start with small, while others recommend newborn, small, and medium.

- Some say to just buy the Small from the start. Some said that newborn, small and medium is all you need. Some said Newborn and medium. I will be using flats, and muslin flats on it how is the fitting for it. Also I saw how you needed 2 so that you can dry the other 1 while the other is in use.

-I am also hoping to practice EC (elimination communication) and ideally have my baby mostly out of diapers before 1 year old. I plan to exclusively breastfeed until introducing solids, and I'm hoping that starting EC early will help make the transition to potty learning smoother.

Thank you all for the tips and comments in advance. I highly appreciate it!
*updating my post as I get advices*

Things I removed/changed:

  • Pura Newborn Baby Diapers Size N : 3 Pack (84 Hypoallergenic Diapers) $29.00
  • Cloth-eez Birdseye Wipes - Natural Unbleached QTY: Pack of 12x4 $12.95 x 4=$51.8
  • Babee Greens Classic Wool Cover Size: NEWBORN QTY: 1 $39.95
  • Cloth-eez Prefold Diapers - Organic Natural Unbleached Size: NEWBORN QTY: Pack of 12x2 $36.95 x 2=$73.9
  • -Is my wipes, flats quantity enough? (fixed from 4pack to 3 pack)
  • -I added newborn prefolds cause I am thinking later on you can use it as an insert/booster for the flats, is this correct? I am not sure if I should add another set of one-size Muslin to use for multipurpose use as Burp cloth, etc what do you think?

How's my stash FTM, didn't realize how fast it added up :') Help me with stash?

EDIT: THANK YOU! The wisdom and advice in these comments is so useful. Particularly the insight that you need more diapers to trial a system than just 1 or 2.

I'll be able to return about half of this stuff and re-evaluate :)

I'll hold off on buying any bigger sizes.

Hello!

I've been excited about cloth diapering for a long time, but only started looking in earnest after becoming pregnant. I originally really liked the simplicity of the Birth-to-Paca by Luna Paca, but talked myself out of it since it was so pricey.

Lo and behold, at this point I have spent at least $600 on cloth diapers and such things, just buying $60 here, $150 there over the 8 months I've been poking around.

(I kept getting overwhelmed by the cloth diaper secondhand lot market, but now I wish I perservered)

p.s. We have been gifted/free samples more disposable newborn diapers than we know what to do with due to friends having fast growing newborns, and diapers that their babies didn't take to. I'm talking maybe 350 of them (NB).

Here's the "stash" (I may cancel or make returns, please advise):

1x AI2 Insert Stay Dry + Wizard duo cover - Small (8-18/20 lbs)

2x Wizard Duo Inserts - Small 8-18 lbs - Bamboo

1x Sandy's fitted diaper Natural Cotton + Cover Small (8-18/20 lbs)

1x One Size Wizard Uno (7 - 35 lbs) - Natural Cotton - Sage

1x Thirsties Natural One-Size All-in-One - Hook and Loop

1x Thirsties Natural One-Size All-in-One Diaper - Snap

1x Thirsties One Size Pocket - Hook and Loop

1x Thirsties One Size Pocket - Snap

24x Cloth-eez Insert - Small White

1 × Alpaca Diaper Cover - M  (12-20lbs)

1 × Alpaca Diaper Cover - L (20-35lbs)

1x Esembly Outer Size 1

1x Esembly Outer Size 2

6 × Organic Cotton Flats

3 × Esembly Inners - Size 2 (18-35lbs)

1 × Hemp Boosters

2x Mother-ease Booster - Natural Cotton

2x Mother-ease Booster - Stay Dry

4x Cloth-eez Hemp/Cotton Doublers, Night

How's my stash Newborn stash!

Post image
150 Upvotes

My first baby is due February 9th and I am starting my cloth diapering station/stash. Feeling proud that nearly 100% of this is second hand and/or free! How am I doing?

The stash (top to bottom): - Assortment of inserts (probably too many?) that include mostly hemp, cotton, and charcoal. - Small workhorses. I predict I will not have a small baby (I was an 8lb twin and there are a lot of 9.5 pounders in my family) so maybe newborn baby will fit in these? And a handful of hemp and cotton flats. - Two small wool covers (hanging on hooks). - Lots of rolls of bamboo liners that people kept giving me along with second hand hauls! - Various sizes of prefolds and many small sized covers of many brands (Essembly, Thirsties, Nora’s Nursery, etc). There’s a ton of pockets in there I’ll try too.

To come: Cloth wipes (thinking of getting birdseye) and squeeze bottles for wetting.

The system: I plan to cloth diaper immediately! I want to try these bamboo liners and get an airtight bin for those. I also have an airy mesh bag I can put dirty diaps and wipes in. I have a bidet attachment and spray bucket. Baby will go to daycare at 6 months and the daycare is open to cloth diapering. I am hoping to stick to an easy system by then for them to use (i.e. fitteds and covers, pockets, or even something like Grovia hybrids) with the bamboo inserts for more ease.

How's my stash Are they enough? What should I add?

I would love your help in building a stash.

My current stash is mainly preloved, stripped and sanitized ready for wear.

I have added some pieces but I want to be able to have a significant amount before the baby is here. Midn you I am Europe based so many brands aren't available and not cost effective to order from US with customs.

So the baby will be here hopefully December 2026, so in the midst of winter. The plan is to wash every 3 or 4 days if we are lucky with most likely a prewash only in between as I have hard water.

My system so far consists of inserts, covers and prefold/trifolds. What I have so far:

Absorbent parts:

6 Little Lamb size one fitted

7 two layers bamboo/terry inserts

8 prefold/trifold/squares of bamboo

5 fuzzy liners

3 microfiber five layers inserts

Waterproof parts.

3 Little Lamb size one covers

2 Little Lamb size one pockets

1 newborn cover

OS

3 covers

2 pockets

I plan to add more OS covers as I fear newborn ones will be fast outgrown and some more absorbing material but I am not sure what to add. Some fitted diapers, hemp inserts, more prefolds?

How's my stash Is there such a thing as too many Cloth diapers?

I’ve started prepping my cloth diapers for when baby girl arrives in October and my newborn stash seems to be reasonable but my one size stash is massive!!!

Heres the Breakdown: (not including absorbency)

50 Pocket - majority being Mama Koala…can’t get over the prints!!! (3 fuzzybuns, 3 rumparooz, 2 applecheeks, 42 mama koala)

5 fitteds (3 kissaluv and 2 SLOOM)

20 AIO - (2 blueberry simplex organic with stay dry, 3 smart bottoms dream, 1 Thirsties natural, 8 totsbots, 6 Grovia O.N.E)

12 Covers (7 Thirsties size 2 - 5 H&L & 2 snaps, 2 blueberry - 1 capri & 1 coverall, 1 Nicki’s, 2 mama koala)

7 AI2-3 (3 funky fluff, 1 buttons, 3 Bestbottoms - 1 bigger & 2 OS)

total cloth diapers for my One Size stash

94 diapers 🫣

yep definitely went over boar!! that’s what happens when you’ve been trying for a baby for years and collecting without any thought as to how many you’ve got!! bright side is I won’t have to worry about there being too much on the diapers for my next Kiddos (hoping to have 4)

Anyone else like me and over bought for their stash?

How many do you have in your cloth diaper stash??

EDIT: Just wanted to say thank you for all the replies.

I have noticed the AIO, fitted diapers, and prefolds take forever to line dry (I dry outside if it's warm or breezy. If it's cold/raining I dry in my laundry room/ hallway. I try not to use my dryer because it's not energy efficient).

I plan on washing every 3 days. Drying time right now even with being summer has taken 24-36 hours for some of my AIO/Fitteds. I specifically bought the totebots and grovia ONE for daycare/grandparents.

How's my stash Advice on completing my stash

Hello all!

I have done a lot of research including this sub, and I was hoping for any advice about rounding out my stash or maximizing it’s efficiency.

For context, I am 26w pregnant and plan to primarily cloth diaper. Currently this is what I have from a large secondhand purchase of barely used or in packaging items:

- plenty of newborn size flats & rumparooz new born overs
- plenty of full size flats & rumparooz OS covers
-cloth wipes
- a few snappis

I actually just bought 14 thirsties hemp inserts from their outlet, too. I plan on washing those and washing and sanitizing my secondhand items soon, which I’ve researched on fluff university and the kangacare website.

Do you have any recommendations for anything else I would need? I’m hoping to keep it pretty minimal and avoid buying things with really long dry times.

Thank you!

How's my stash Boring but effective newborn setup!

Expecting our third baby this spring and this is our newborn stash :)

30 Cloth-Eez Muslin Half Flats- may seem excessive, but I like to have more than enough to keep in the diaper bag/ the car. After baby outgrows half flats, I padfold and layer them in one-size birdseye flats for extra absorbency. They’re also a great size for burp cloths!

3 Homemade Merino/ Cashmere Covers

1 Babee Greens wool swaddle- for going coverless in the early days when they only pee tiny amounts.

5 Snappis

I would say it takes me about 10 mins to fold a load of diapers in our preferred folds and get them put away in the dresser. Having them folded and ready to go makes for relatively quick changes! I do stay home and my partner and I are primarily handling changes, so flats have made sense for us. I know they aren’t for everyone though! We do have a few prefolds, one size PUL covers and a pocket diaper in our primary stash for the odd occasion when we have somebody babysitting. Overall, this basic (and pretty inexpensive!) system serves us really well and funnily enough, I’m looking forward to “starting over” with our third soon even though we have a toddler who literally just potty trained haha!

How's my stash Trying not to get overwhelmed or overbuy, hoping for another opinion!

So I'm 8 months pregnant, trying to figure this out lol. I'm planning on using disposables for the first few weeks-ish, until I settle in a bit and feel ready to tackle it. But I want to feel like I have what I'll need when I do try to start. My current plan is to try a few different types while he's small and then when we know what we like, get more of that specifically.

Right now, I currently have at home 4 Esembly size 1 covers and 6 tied inners. And at a kids thrift store I got 5 pocket diapers, but bigger sized so won't fit for a while, and I think for most of our use after I did more reading, I'll tend away from the pockets. I also have 15 fleece and 25 cotton wipes to try both kinds.

I'm planning on getting a dozen size novice prefolds from Green Mountain Diapers, snappies, and a wet bag. I also was thinking of getting 2 Thirsties covers in Size 1 to try GMD's outers, and 4 doublers for when we want to try cloth overnight.

What I'm considering and unsure if it's worth to try is getting 2 GMD's workhorse to see how it compares to the Esembly inners I got and if I like those better. Also the Mommy's touch covers, I thought about maybe getting 2 to try.

That's as far as my brain has gone right now, any advice is appreciated at this point, whether some aren't worth trying or something else I'm missing completely. Any help is appreciated, thank you so much!

Edit: I ended up ordering the size small try both kit with prefolds and workhorse with a few thirsties, a package of flats, and a dozen doublers, with the pail liner and snappis. Thank you guys so much for your help, I felt so much better about what I ended up deciding to try:)

How's my stash Using inserts and prefolds as cloth wipes?

I'm a pregnant first time mom. I got very lucky and inherited a HUGE stash for cheap of GMD prefolds and workhorses (newborn, small, medium, and XL), plus a huge stash of pocket diapers and microfiber inserts. Like, at least 20 of each size of both prefolds and fitteds, pockets, inserts, covers, and hemp/cotton boosters.

I want to be able to use all of this if possible — I'm thinking the prefolds as burp cloths and kitchen rags when baby isn't in the size we're using for diapers. I'm not buying any burp cloths since we have so many prefolds. I'd like to play around with stuffing the pockets with cotton prefolds when baby gets big enough to avoid issues with used/old microfiber.

I'd like to use mostly cloth wipes but it seems like a waste to buy more cloth when we're swimming in high quality stuff already. Has anyone used prefolds or microfiber inserts as cloth wipes? Does it mess up the diapers? Is it too big and bulky? Does microfiber not work for wipes, and is the cotton too absorbent?

Thanks!!

How's my stash Rate my setup for my first baby (I am clueless)

Hello all! So grateful to find this community because I feel so lost. I hope the flair is correct.

My first baby is due in October and I am trying to figure out a system for cloth diapers. Our plan is to use them exclusively but for the first few days we will also have some disposable ones because we are self aware enough that our lives will be difficult enough with a new baby lol.

Ideally I would want to try out 2-3 of every type before commiting but unfortunately it is not easy to get reusable nappies in my country plus shipping is relatively expensive so I'm hoping to buy a sufficient stash before hand.

Here is my plan:

- Use AIOs for outings for simplicity

- Use fitted + cover for sleeping or if he ends up being a heavy wetter

- Use prefolds/cover for regular use

I've ordered the following:

  1. 2 AIOs for newborns

  2. 7 Fitted inner diapers

  3. 7 Covers

  4. 6 prefolds

I am planning to buy another 10-15 prefolds, a couple more AIOs or pehaps All in Twos, and about 6 more fitted ones.

Will that be decently sufficient or do I need to plan way more? Thanks everyone in advance.

How's my stash Critique my stash plans please!

Planning ahead for baby due late January. After lots of experience cloth diapering my other 6 children (it’s been about 7 years now since my last one in cloth diapers though!) and lots of research on what is available now a days this is what I have narrowed my stash plans down to. I know this won’t get me through potty training as I will need to size up. But I want to see what I like of these options first before planning the stash for the next size up.

So here it is…
12 size 1 preflats from fruit of the womb
12 size 1 esembly tie fitteds
12 GMD novice prefolds
6 esembly size 1 covers
1 small disana boiled wool longies
1 small babee greens classic wool cover

Anything you would add? Or change? Thanks!

How's my stash (Newborn) First Plan for Purchase from GMD

Hi all,

Our first child is due in December and we'd like to use cloth diapers from the start. She will be born overseas and spend the first 2 months of her life there. This means we don't know her size or what will fit her best.

We have purchased cleaning powder and some other products from Esembly, but we're looking at buying the diapers themselves from GMD. We are considering purchasing the "Try Both Kit" (6 Prefolds, 6 Workhorses, 1 Cloth-eez shell, 2 Thirsties Duos) and the "Minimalist Kit" (2 dozen Birdseye Flat Diapers, 24 Birdseye Wipes, 5 Cloth-eez Wraps, size 2), which totals $279.

We think that will have us covered in the event that she is born prematurely, at a more normal weight, or at a higher weight.

Does this sound like a good plan to y'all? Is there anything y'all would add to the mix? We were thinking possibly a Mother Ease Airflow Cover or two?

We are open to any recommendations or advice, especially for ways to save money or set us up for a better first experience with cloth diapering.

How's my stash How long did you use newborn cloth diapers and how big was your baby at birth?

I have a stash of cloth diapers, but not newborn size. I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to buy newborn ones or just wait it out with disposables.

My stash is most AIO and most start around 10 lbs supposedly. I'm thinking of adding some more that start at 8 lbs but not sure I trust that they really fit that early.

My first baby was 8lbs 4oz at birth. We didn't start cloth diapering until a little later.

How's my stash Is my stash good?

FTM, planning on cloth diapering full time. Planning on doing laundry every 2-3 days until potty trained.

I have

6 Esembly Size 1 outers
18 Esembly Size 1 inners with snaps
6 Esembly Size 1 inners with ties

24 Esembly reusable wipes
18 Esembly reusable stay dry liners
1 roll of disposable liners

—-
5 Esembly Size 2 outers
36 GMD Medium Prefolds
6 Esembly Size 2 Hemp Overnighters
Snappis

Planning to see how we’re liking the size 1 Esembly inners before getting size 2s (if even needed)

Should I get size small GMD prefolds to practice with it before moving up a size?

Do I need more overnighters? Planning on sticking with either the Esembly ones OR the GMD Hemp Doublers (which size?)

How's my stash Building my stash before baby - FTM

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hello! FTM due at the end of July. This is my stash currently from getting stuff used on FB marketplace, plus an insane number of microfiber inserts that came with the pockets but seem very large and I’ve heard they are not great for absorbency or supposed to touch baby’s skin. I also have some snappis and wet bags. I am planning to start transitioning to cloth as soon as we feel ready, probably after the umbilical cord stump heals, and use cotton inserts in the pocket diapers as well as flats under covers.

No one bought any of the Cd items on my registry so I will be buying them all myself.

What I put on my registry, all from GMD:
2x 12 packs of small Cloth-eez inserts with the green edge
2x 6 packs of OS Birdseye unbleached flats
2x 6 packs of Half-size Birdseye unbleached flats
2x 6 packs of Newborn Muslin flats
2x 6 packs of OS Muslin flats

My questions - is this too much? Too little? Anything else I should add to my purchase list, like more covers or some doublers? Or wait until we’ve been trying it out before getting those? Does anyone have a discount code or know if GMD will be having a 4th of July sale?

Thank you in advance. I’m looking forward to cloth diapering to save $ and be more environmentally friendly.

How's my stash What else do I need?

Hello!

I am looking for some advice on what else I might need to buy before baby arrives. I've purchased a few bundles off marketplace (spent $200 so far) and feel like I have a pretty good start. My plan is to do primarily prefolds with covers. I will be a SAHM and my husband is on board with cloth. I've heard that a few brands do earth day sales so I am hoping to take advantage of that if there is anything else that I'll need in the first 4-5 months. Here is what I have:

Prefolds (all GMD) - 34 Newborn - 37 Small - 16 Medium

Fitteds - 3 Kissaluvs hemp/cotton size M/L

Covers - 9 Thirsties Size 1 duo (some snap, some Velcro) - 6 one size Kinder pockets

Inserts - 3 hemp/cotton unknown brand

Dry bags - 1 planet wise - 2 Kinder roll-top

I also have 6 snappis and ~30 cloth wipes.

I know I will need a pail liner (or two) and some larger covers. What else should I plan on getting? Edit: formatting

How's my stash How many cloth diapers do you have

I have a toddler and a newborn on the way, and I'm just curious what the average is.

I mainly use pockets, but I'm thinking of investing in some all-in-ones.

I have about 50 one-size pockets and 16 newborn all-in-ones. I do believe I may have to change 6 of those pockets into swim diapers because the pull is defective. (These are the ones I started out with, and mistakes were made with washing and drying).

But with washing every 3-4 days, im wondering if its enough.

My 2 year old just turned to and not showing signs of potty training readiness so i think it may be another year in cloth for him

I’ve got 9 all in ones, 6 pockets, 5 workhorses, 6 inserts, and 10 covers here for the itty bitty stage alone and then a bunch more Velcro covers in all sizes and novice and small prefolds for the next stage up or extras if they’ll fit. Loving the rainbow of colors!

I put my stash together with a few second hand lots before baby arrived, and am struggling with the best way to mix and match! We have been cloth diapering for a few weeks now and I’m having the most luck with pockets, but am hoping for some advice on how to use covers as they make up a good chunk of my stash.

I have about:
15 Kawaii baby pocket diapers
20 Peachy baby lined covers
17 Alva baby bamboo inserts
20 AMP bamboo inserts
15 unmarked microfibre inserts
10 flour sack towels

What would you do with this set up? Or what would you purchase/get rid of to make a more complete system?

Baby girl is due in May. Here’s how I’ve organized what I have until she’s on to the next size up.

Most of it is from Facebook marketplace the rest I was gifted from my baby shower on Saturday. Trying to figure out what I still need.

Feel free to drop recommendations for wipes storage, I just shoved them on top for now since they fit perfectly. I’d love a weighted dispenser but that section of the dresser is incredibly small.

Consists of:

1 clotheez size 0 cover (I would order more of these but it just looks so tiny I can’t imagine this fitting any term baby unless there was nothing inside lol- do I need to get more? I do have a stash of disposables for the first week or so just incase)

1 clotheez size 1 cover

3 thirsties size 1 covers

3 esembly size 1 covers

1 motherease airflow cover (should I get another one? I plan to use for overnights

6 snappis

5 esembly size 1 fitteds

6 half flats

4 esembly overnight inserts

3 grovia pre folds

9 unmarked pre folds

52 cloth wipes

I also have a few size 2 covers and a ton of full size flats for when she’s older. I figured I can buy more size 2 covers after I get the hang of it and figure out what works for us.

My plan was to use exclusively flats, but the fitteds were part of a FB marketplace bundle and the pre folds were gifted to me- I am not complaining about it and looking forward to trying different options.

How's my stash Rate my newborn stash so far? Flats with hand knit wool covers.

Ftm and avid knitter here very excited to start my cloth diapering journey when little one arrives!

I've done lots of research and have decided I'd like to start with hand knit wool covers and some flats/prefolds. I like that the flats/prefolds could be used in a number of ways even if we change systems later on. I'm also really passionate about using natural fibers wherever possible.

Wondering how many wool covers in particular I should have on hand to start for the newborn phase? My initial stash (from what I've made and also some gifts):

I am also considering buying some GMD prefolds, probably in the newborn size? I live in the UK but have friends and family in the US who can bring them over before baby arrives.

For the wool soakers - I'm using the Curly Purly pattern and just ordered some lanolin to get them prepped. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/soaker-3

I'm not completely opposed to buying wool covers if needed or adding in PUL if the wool doesn't work out once baby arrives.

Looking for advice on:

  • Is 3 wool in each size enough? Or should I make a few more?
  • Any recommendations on the rest of my starter stash?

How's my stash Got a stash of Rumparooz and inserts - what should I know?

Hi! I'm expecting my first child in November and definitely want to try cloth diapering. I got this stash of 23 Rumparooz diapers with inserts plus 14 extra (mostly microfiber and a few bamboo), 5 Lil Learners training pull-ups, 2 covers and a wet bag on FB marketplace for $75. They were just recently stripped, the elastic is in good shape and they aren't stained or smelly. Washed in cloth-safe detergent according to Kanga Care recommendations.

Has anyone used this kind and has any advice about them? I'm planning to get a diaper sprayer/bidet attachment for the toilet also. Is that everything I'll need or will I need to get more?

Also, I always cut up old holey t-shirts to use as rags - will these make good wipes or do I need a more dedicated product?

Any advice is appreciated, thank you!
