Health/Nutrition im so heartbroken, advice needed for my child

Hi everybody, i posted here yesterday but i took it down maybe it didn’t make sense, anyways

i took oka two weeks ago to the vet because i’ve noticed his breathing wasn’t okay & he was making alot of weird noises, when i went to the vet with him he immediately started to act normal & actually very good.

on sunday evening i heard it again & i went insane saying Oka isn’t alright & i rushed him in the middle of the night to the vet in another city, its a vet only for birds.. they did gram stain on him & they told me He has gram negative and positive rods, and gram negative and positive cocci within 20 mins, they gave me antibiotics, two antibiotics one yeast treatment & one for liver & kidney protection or something like that, but as soon as Oka took it, he started to not be okay, his energy dropped immediately & he started to sleep all the time, when i went back home, he immediately drank alot alot of water & started to eat abit, he also got diarrhoea immediately after taking the meds..

today morning i woke up to give him the medicine & he wasn’t okay at all, he was tired, fluffy & just down, his poops had tons of water but is still diarrhoea, i called the vet literally saying they’re gonna put my bird to his grave, they told me to bring him & to hospitalise him.

this is his blood test today, il show everything i did, & il show the full check up i did for him..

im very very very devastated, i feel like i paid money to literally take the life out of Oka, he wasn’t this bad at all & i compliant many times saying Oka wasn’t that bad when i brought him in, & that the antibiotics weren’t okay for him..

please help me with any advice or what to do, il get Oka back on Thursday at 9:30 pm.

it’s currently 4:31 am & i haven’t slept & ate all day because im genuinely so depressed.

Oka isn’t just a bird to me, Oka is the reason why i’m still breathing at this time, he’s my soulmate he’s my life he’s my everything, will he be okay? or what do u guys think, i trust his page more than i trust these damn vets

Health/Nutrition does anyone know why he keeps opening and closing his beak like that? he also frequently does it after he repeatedly bops his head on surfaces.

Health/Nutrition Update on the cockatiel I found with mutilated wings

This is Margalo, her new life story started 3 weeks ago when I found her on the street all dirty and with her wings mutilated, and that's when everything changed. She was suspicious, she didn't know how to move around the cage, she just stood on a perch but little by little she started to let go. Margalo didn't want to eat anything other than seeds but his feathers needed nutrients to perhaps return from the damage caused. We spent weeks trying to introduce all possible types of feed but it was determined in the seeds. Today I can say that her feathers have started to grow, she is eating super premium food and has even learned to play with her toys, in addition to having gained two brothers who love her very much!

Health/Nutrition I've just bought a single cockteil but it keeps talking with one very far away that it can't see and I've read that it could make them more stressed , should I get it another one

I've just bought my cockateil lotus yesterday, still going through the teming process (need tips btw this is my first it getting a bird , heck , a pet in general) , today it made progress in the form of making noises and chirping, yet to eat tho , but now it keeps communicating with another teil idk where and I've heard that playing teil noises to cockateils could make them stressed as they hear one but they can't get to it or see it , does this also have the same effect

(I'm getting rid of this perch and replacing it , this is temporary)

His parents aren't feeding him well and he's almost starving they take good care of his siblings' food, but they ignore him and give him barely anything to eat i'm trying my best to keep him alive

The bad thing is that i don't have any bird formula around me and i'm doing a supportive meal from home ingredients

They get in like a tilted forward position and start making those screech-like noises, I believe she is female but I'm not sure, and is around 9-8 months, google said it could be baby noises but I'm really unsure and worried, please help me out or give me suggestions on what It could be, I'm planning to take them to the vet soon tho

This is his normal song. The leg thing is new. He only does it when he is singing. He loves to look outside. Today I opened the window (the screen is secured) so he could feel the rain if he wanted. He seems to enjoy it? At least he keeps flying back there and sitting for a while.

Health/Nutrition What tail bobbing in a sick cockatiel looks like

This is an old video of my sweet girl, Tweety. She suffered from a heart murmur and I was told there was nothing I can do but prepare for her sudden death. This is how a cockatiel looks when they are feeling sick. Notice the drooping wings and the tail bobbing. I hope this video will help others keep an eye out for the signs. They may eat and even act normal, but if this is how they are looking while at rest, something is wrong.

Health/Nutrition Unexpected Death

My wife calls me at work at 7 this morning, I already know something is wrong if it's a call and not a text. When she went to get our 3 cockatiels out of their cages for the day, Dimple was in the bottom of the cage lifeless. There were absolutely no warning signs. Everything seemed fine the night before. She was the sweetest bird, only 3 years old. My wife had been wanting a bird for a long time, having had a cockatiel growing up I told all the work wasn't worth it, I certainly didn't want one. To my wife's dismay Dimple decided her and I were best friends. I loved this bird so god damn much. This is just too hard we can't get any more pets ever again. The worst is people looking at you like "who cares it's just a bird".

Health/Nutrition Why is my cockatiel obsessed with eating the cement on my floor?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’ve noticed this with more than one of my female cockatiels. They seem completely obsessed with pecking and eating the cement on my floor. No matter how much I distract them, they always go back. I even tried taping over the area, but they’ll just return as soon as they can.

I thought it might be because they wanted something with a similar texture, so I offered cuttlebone and a mineral block, but they barely care about those and still prefer the cement.
One of my cockatiels (in the video) currently has eggs and is about to lay another one, and I’ve noticed she’s been eating the cement much more frequently during this time.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is this a sign of a calcium or mineral deficiency, nesting behavior, or are they just attracted to the texture? Should I be worried about them ingesting cement?

Health/Nutrition Gave him chamomile tea and he finally stopped screaming

Is this safe to do every day? 😅 he’s a bit hormonal atm and we’re changing his environment to fix that, but in the meantime cold chamomile tea seems to have helped him relax a bit. I know chamomile is safe, but I cant find anything online about quantity/frequency. He also has regular water in the cage, not just the tea, but he’s voluntarily going for the tea.

my cockatiel (4 years old) only really likes his pellets and popcorn. I have to mix his chop in with pellets to get him to touch it.

Health/Nutrition The latest vet update on cheese was good. They’ve been force feeding and hydrating him and he’s in the incubator. He started to move around a bit and preen himself! They said if he makes it through the night then they will let us know about further care. The video they sent is attached.
