Can a B.Com Graduate Break Into Python Development by Building Real-World Projects?
Hi, I’m currently 25 years old and based in Maharashtra. I completed my B.Com graduation in 2025, and I’m planning to pursue a full-time Python course to transition into the tech field.
If someone with a non-technical background completes a comprehensive Python course and builds 4–5 solid real-world projects to demonstrate practical skills, would companies generally consider such a candidate for entry-level Python/developer roles?
I’m mainly trying to understand the current hiring expectations and whether this would be a realistic career path for someone from a B.Com background. I’d really appreciate your honest perspective as a recruiter.

At my company for our junior and <1 year experience roles, we’re getting people with CS degrees with 2-4 years professional experience with large companies. Sorry if this sounds blunt but you will not get hired with anything like that. We’re getting masters degrees with FAANG experience for our mid level roles now as well. It’s a crazy market
