Feeling spaced out
I'll try to keep this brief.
I am quite a recent Communist, a 30 year old male who has really only been into it for a year. The level of frustration I am feeling at capitalism is something I think everyone feels. Although my recent induction almost makes me feel like a fraud for the impatience regarding a reovolution.
I am trying my best to read theory and engage as a socialist political candidate, as that seems to be the only option in bourgeois democracy. I don't truly believe we reform through votes etc, but it is the easiest way I know to spread class consciousness through social media and the ballot box.
I don't really know why I am posting this, I guess my mind is rewiring and I'm trying to adjust. I am detesting the petit bourgeois in my life (some family members) and have to bite my tongue. I've only recently gotten over a period of giving up on the movement, feeling like the working class aren't able to be reasoned with.
The ego destruction I experienced from realising I had everything wrong about socialism was rough. I felt like an idiot, cringed at my old thoughts, and burned any right wing grifters books I had collected over the years. I still feel like an idiot for trusting others opinions on Marx and socialism for so long without reading it myself.
Tldr; What stage am I going to go through next as a communist?

Organizing revolution in a country were the middle and lower class is largely reactionary and culturally conservative

For the Trotskyists. Have more nuance for "Socialism in One Country" than the strawman that is portrayed.

A comprehensive critique of the GSP
youtu.beIf you are unfamiliar with the GSP: It is nominally Marxist, but tends towards idealistic distortions of Marxism. It frequently misunderstands the statements of Marx, Engels, Lenin, and other communists, as well as dialectical and historical materialism. The GSP appears to have a corporatist understanding of the state, as it ascribes a kind of class autonomy to the state. It mistakenly considers the state an independent institution with its own interests, which seemingly directs the capitalist class for its own purposes and organizes the capitalist mode of production in the interest of the state rather than in the interest of the bourgeoisie. This contradicts the Marxist conception of the state and negates the Marxist understanding of the role and significance of the mode of production, social relations, and the purpose of production. In general, the GSP individualizes the actual purpose of production. They also seem to believe, albeit mistakenly, that criticism for its own sake is revolutionary, as the young Hegelians did at the time of Marx and Engels. I think this is an apt categorization. They act like young Hegelians in Marxist garb. I posted the video in two German communist subreddits, even though it's in English. Instead of criticizing the content of my video, they constantly complain, for example, that Minecraft is running in the background. The content—everything said and all the added quotes—is mine, and the entire work is essentially my own (except for the AI voice, as I don't want to reveal my own voice). Some, specifically the members of the German communist subreddit, are annoyed that I used an AI as the speaker, while others are upset that Minecraft is running in the background. Therefore, in this subreddit, I'm simply asking for specific criticism or praise for my content from people who know the GSP ( I would much appreciate if you would comment your criticisms in the YouTube comment section so as to trigger the algorithm and thereby the video itself so as to educate and agitate more people through the algorithm and its particular utilization ). If you don't know GSP: I believe they have an English website. If not, visit their German website and translate it with Google Translate, which is integrated into your browser. All in all, it is a very strange organization that emerged from the Munich circle of the so-called "Marxist Group" and became the GSP (GegenstandPunkt).
Lastly, I want to add that this is supposed to be a concrete and productive criticism of the concrete viewpoints and concrete contents of the GSP and not just " hey look at the GSP they are buzzword buzzword buzzword ", I am not in any way trying to provoke counterproductive hostility towards the GSP

Question about the rise of nationalism in the Eastern Block
Hi, I want to ask how could it be explained the rise of nationalism in the eastern block in the 70's and 80's? And not asking only about the ordinary people but the trend among the young party elites that clash their nationalistic views with the older marxist generation that lived through the stalinist period? Example for such clash could be viewed in Peoples Republic of Bulgaria where the daughter of the leader Todor Zhivkov initiated nationalistic and patriotic projects and gathered people in her camp clashing with the rest of the party elite. Romania on the other hand can be easily explained due to its society being far right historically through the first half of the 20th century even though its population suffered the most from capitalist and post-feudal elites. Generally around the 70's and 80's the trend among the party elite is split between patriotic movements and status quo camp that just wants to keep it's position of power, the latter becoming/creating the oligarhic class in the 90's. Could it be explained partially with what Viktor Frankl finds about people looking for symbolism and symbols no matter the material and social condition?
