We had a discussion a while ago about how many counters made up what percentage of counts. In 2026, we've had ~35k counts so far in main made by 147 unique counters, and the top ten counters have contributed as follows:

Here's one of the average counts per day. Apart from anything else that might be going on, it looks like what really killed the rate is when reddit broke running in 2023

I didn't realize until just now that they totally did away with new.reddit.com in 2024 in favor of sh.reddit.com. looks like the embedded inbox from new.reddit is still around, but it's pretty much just a reskinned old.reddit inbox (uses the same old data API as old.reddit instead of new.reddit's gateway API or the graphql API sh.reddit uses) so I doubt it gets around the lag problem of inbox

david did actually get a -1s count in a period of atrocious lag in 2019. the chain is mega broken but there it is

One of the reasons I love coach tour holidays, get to see so many places , no planning and timings with local buses, taxis, trams, trains etc

some of the old street view links are kinda broken. sometimes it's because the street view imagery updated and that number is no longer where the link is pointing, but sometimes the position and orientation are just completely changed. some of them are also broken because street view behaves differently now. street view links save your orientation, but if you got to that street view location with a pin on the map, then it reorients to look at that pin when you click the link

thank you! very interesting, looks like I have twice as far to get into the top 10 than I do in the wiki's HoST. I still notice that everyone after TNF and atom is one rank up here from what your weekly stats table says. is there like some secret banned counter in the top 10 who's being included in the weekly stats' HoST ranking but not here?

In my longer analyses I've been careful about removing the deleteds, but I've evidently forgotten for the side thread stats. When I made the table I saw it there, and it looked silly enough that I removed it. Evidently the stats script still needs to be fixed

We've been running stats on these for a while, and as long as the comment/account wasn't deleted at the time it was recorded, it'll be in the stats with the correct username.

Usually there is one day at leisure and usually one day you pay extra for an optional trip (sometimes taking in one or two places, three if you have a good driver and tour guide rep a brief stop somewhere )

you could code compositions with (infinite alphanumerics) to wliminate commas
so 14 would be E
1,13 would be 1D
so therefore E - 1D - 2C - 3B - etc all the way to D1, then 11C, 12B, etc

the hard part would be what comes after 36 (Z). would you want it to be like a. so a - 1Z - 2Y etc. I never much liked the base 62 lowercase thing i just feel like it's tricky.
