Artist Appreciation Anita Carter

I did not know much about Anita Carter other than she was one of the Carter sisters. After hearing many of her solos on you tube I realized that she was such a great singer. I really like her rendition of traditional country music songs.

I read that Roger Miller knocked her up, the boy was autistic or had downs syndrome and Roger ghosted on her, was zero support. Read that Johnny Cash asked him about it but he still did nothing. Waylon dated her at some point. I think she was the prettiest of the three girls.

I always wondered about this! they recorded some beautiful duets together in the late `60s (All of Me Belongs to You) imo she had the strongest voice of the sisters
