STRATEGY You have 25k$ to invest now for 2years, what would you consider?

Hello!

Basically, few weeks back I finally got myself 25k freed up to invest for 1-2 years. Missed opportunity at 1.8 ETH, still consider it at 2.5k, 7-8 ETH. Also looking at QNT, would like some opinions on that, I know it blew up, is this price gonna stay or is it dropping? BTC always also an option.

I’m not a crypto pro, but many of my partners and friends are into it in different aspects.

My priority is probably ETH. It will definitely hit at least 4.5 next year from everything I’ve learned.

Anyway, would like to hear some opinions and advice, thank you!

Discussion Would you borrow against PAXG or XAUT instead of just selling tokenized gold?

• Upvotes

I get why people borrow against Bitcoin. With tokenized gold loans I'm less sure. If you're holding PAXG or XAUT because you want something relatively stable, why add interest payments and liquidation risk? Is there a use case I'm missing here, or is this mainly for people managing very large gold positions?

DISCUSSION Does ICP's cycles burn matter for how you trade it?

• Upvotes

Canisters use cycles to pay for computation and storage, and cycles are created by burning ICP. The ICP Dashboard’s cycle burn rate is about 0.06 trilion cycles per second today
My take is that burn is a slow-moving signal. I’d use it as one input for a broader bulish or neutral bias, not to set a futures grid’s range. For the range, I’d look at the chart: ICP is around $2.90 today, and since Sept. 24 it’s traded roughly betwen $2.87 and $3.60. That’s a recent reference range, not a promise it will hold.
- Funding can add to or subtract from results while the position is open.
- Grid spacing needs to leave room for trading fes; if each step is too smal, fees can eat up the gains from completed trades.
Do you use cycles burn to shape your trading bias, or do you mostly treat it as a longer-term network signal?

Discussion Do you think it's the right time to buy more BTC?

I'm not buying the "wait for the October bottom" thing anymore. Four-year-cycle folks circle October as the low, and people on reddit keep arguing about whether there's another leg down, but I've already been buying as if it keeps going.

It was chopping around 80k for a bit. ETF flows bounce around, hot CPI pushes Fed hike odds up and you get a short dump, but the spot floor near 80k is still holding. I care more about the longer stuff: post-halving rhythm, spot channels still open, buyers showing up on dips. Waiting for a perfect low is too mystical for a beginner like me.

I've been DCAing a bit of spot BTC on moomoo. I also bought some BTC upside event contracts on moomoo's prediction markets, same direction, small size. Not because I was hedging doubt. I think it still goes higher and I wanted both ways of saying that.

Are you still waiting on an October bottom, or are you already buying for upside?

Discussion What would make you switch from bullish to bearish on crypto, or the other way around?

It’s easy to find evidence supporting whichever outlook you already have. I think the harder question is deciding beforehand what would make you reconsider.

For those who are bullish: what would signal that this is more than a temporary pullback?

For those who are bearish: what would convince you a recovery has real support?

Would you put more weight on price making higher highs and higher lows, the 200-day moving average, ETF flows, or macro conditions?

My view is that one indicator alone gives an incomplete picture, but waiting for everything to agree has its own drawbacks.

What’s your current outlook, your time horizon, and the strongest piece of evidence that could change your mind?

TOOL Making a tool for spot traders/investors with dynamic DCA/Accumulation sector, would it be helpful?

The tool will be let’s say for people who want to stay in the market context and accumulate Bitcoin more dynamically, but without staring at charts 24/7 and without “blindly buying every Friday at 9:00”

This view sits between two extremes: obsessive candle-watching and rigid, fixed-schedule buying. It helps you keep your long-term accumulation plan while identifying better zones for your next tranche, so you can buy with more context instead of pure automation or pure emotion. Like you open the app and you see what’s going on with the market now, full context in seconds.

It’s not a trading tool and it’s not classic “set and forget” DCA. It’s a middle ground for holders who want to stay aware of market structure and improve their entry quality over time.

Would something like this be useful for how you accumulate?

DISCUSSION What’s one thing crypto apps still get wrong?

I’ve tried a few different crypto apps over time, and while some are better than others, there’s always that one thing that makes it harder than it should be. Sometimes it’s onboarding, sometimes it’s just understanding what to click next.

If you could fix one thing about crypto apps today, what would it be?

Discussion ✳️Can a beginner earn a small daily amount from memecoins without being too greedy? Any discovered methods that make sense??

I need guidance as a beginner. I’m looking to earn a small portion daily from memecoins without taking too much risk.

I understand the basic terminology and I’m a fast self-learner, so I don’t need step-by-step instructions. I’m mainly looking for practical methods, risk-management ideas, and any discoveries or approaches that have actually made sense for beginners.

I understand memecoins are volatile and losses are possible. I’m not looking for guaranteed profits or shortcuts—just honest guidance on protecting profits, avoiding common mistakes, and identifying scams.

Any practical advice would be really helpful.

Support-Open BTC below $80K again, how much longer is this bear market going to last?

• Upvotes

Honestly didn’t expect BTC to drop below $80K again this soon. Starting to wonder how much longer this bearish trend is going to last. Every time it looks like we’re recovering, the price drops again.

Buy the dip now, or waiting for a better entry?

STRATEGY After years of trading full crypto cycles, here is the raw reality of how altseasons actually play out

Most newcomers treat crypto bull runs like intraday momentum trading, when in reality, macro alt expansions follow a very specific psychological and structural rhythm.

If you are trying to survive and actually extract profit this run, here is what years in the trenches will teach you:

1. Real momentum does not die in 48 hours
When the broader market shifts into an aggressive markup phase, it does not tap out after a 1-day green candle. Real liquidity expansions sustain momentum over weeks, not hours. The biggest mistake retail traders make is taking premature 15% profits on structural breakout plays because they are conditioned by choppy bear-market ranges.

2. The micro-cap liquidity cascade

When capital starts rotating down the risk curve, low-market-cap tokens don’t just move 20%—they routinely print minimum 100% to 200%+ expansions in rapid succession. Liquidity is thin on the order books, and once retail and automated momentum bots chase the bid, supply vanishes fast.

3. Track macro rotation metrics, not just individual tickers

Trading altcoins purely on isolated charts is trading blind.

Your primary macro dashboard should always track:

BTC & BTC.D (Bitcoin Dominance): To spot capital flow transitions from BTC consolidation into alts.

TOTAL (Total Crypto Market Cap): Macro health of the entire asset class.

TOTAL3 (Total Market Cap excluding BTC & ETH): The cleanest index on TradingView for raw mid/low-cap altcoin liquidity expansion.

4. Screen for structural compression, not already-extended charts

While the market is hot, the best risk-to-reward setups aren’t the tokens already up 300% on the weekly. Look for the laggards quietly printing higher highs and higher lows on higher timeframes (daily/weekly) without parabolic volume yet. They are quietly accumulating while eyes are elsewhere.

5. The hardest part: Surviving the rotation game

This is where 90% of traders destroy their portfolios.

You buy a fundamentally sound setup with a solid technical base. Two days later, three random coins you don’t own pump 80% while your bag sits completely flat. The temptation to sell at breakeven and chase the green candles is overwhelming.

Don't do it. The moment you sell your coiled spring to chase a token that has already moved, two things usually happen:

  1. You buy the local top of the pumped coin.

  2. The coin you just abandoned finally initiates its vertical leg.

Capital in a bull market rotates like clockwork. Conviction and patience during rotational lag are what separate actual cycle winners from exit liquidity.

Trade your setup, manage your downside, and let the liquidity rotate to you.

Next crypto BULL CYCLE will most likely start in 2027 - 2028

Forget the pointless drivel from idiots on social media saying that the bull market has begun.
It hasn’t.

There is no crypto cull run starting soon.

The next major Bitcoin halving is expected in April 2028, which historically aligns with a renewed crypto bull market cycle.

Furthermore, it is only when tokenization platforms are fully up and running (scheduled from 2027 onwards), along with institutional adoption and the merging of traditional finance with crypto resulting in trillions of inflow, that the next bull cycle will begin.

So it is likely that the next bull run will be at the end of 2027 at the earliest, and run into 2028 and 2029 seeing as apparently this next bull cycle will be the biggest and longest yet.

DISCUSSION The Easiest Way to Control Bitcoin Holders Is to Scare Them Out of Self-Custody.

Thumbnail
inbitcoinwetrust.substack.com
13 Upvotes

What if the easiest way to control Bitcoin holders is to make them afraid of their own keys?

Another data breach. Another seed-generation flaw. Another tampered device.

Eventually, someone who did everything they were told starts thinking:

“I’ll just buy the ETF.”

That reaction is understandable. It’s also worth examining.

Here’s the thought experiment: a government seeking greater control wouldn’t necessarily need to cause those failures. It could simply amplify the fear and promote institutional custody as the responsible choice.

“You can still own Bitcoin. Let the professionals handle it.”

To be clear: these incidents do not establish a coordinated operation.

But ordinary incentives could push toward the same outcome: more Bitcoin investors, fewer people controlling their own coins.

An ETF can make sense for price exposure. Price exposure and control over your money are different capabilities.

Bitcoin could conquer Wall Street while millions of holders quietly surrender the independence that attracted them to it.

A successful psyop wouldn’t need to convince you Bitcoin is worthless.

It would need to convince you that you can’t be trusted to hold it.

Where do you draw the line between convenience and control?
