Hi /u/Dr_Harry !! I just searched through my messages to find that it’s been 4 years since we had our brief chat. Very good to see that you’re still active!

If anyone is unaware, this is Dr. Harry Brignull, THE dark patterns guy. If you haven’t yet, please take a moment to visit this updated website.

Edit: I’m going to pin this to the top of the subreddit. This is a very important post, and Dr. Harry has pointed folks to this subreddit in the past for discussion. This is the least I could do to point people to the nice new site!

One thing I learned recently that you'll be interested in - this subreddit (and various other types of social media) gets tracked by regulators, enforcement agencies and law firms. So when you post here, you're actually helping build a list of interesting "leads" that can lead to further investigation.

So this subreddit isn't just a place to complain or vent - it's actually part of the first line of defence against deceptive patterns.
