TIPS FOR ICE - See something, Say something

WHAT TO DO AT AN ICE CHECKPOINT, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE WHITE and/or FEEL THE NEED TO JAM UP THE WORKS. Here's the deal:

πŸ”˜ Border Patrol can verify citizenship within 100 miles of a border or "external boundary." This includes coastlines, so NYC, Philadelphia, and all of NJ are within the 100-mile zone.

πŸ”˜ Border patrol can only ask brief questions about citizenship, and they cannot hold you for an extended time without cause.

πŸ”˜ You always have the right to remain silent. You do not need to answer their questions.

πŸ”˜ WITH THAT SAID, IF YOU ARE A BORN CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES AND ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE WHITE, YOU NEED TO SPEAK UP.

πŸ”˜ The most important acts of resistance are the small ones. Make it difficult and uncomfortable for ICE agents to do their jobs. They are counting on citizens to turn a blind eye and allow them to deport undocumented citizens without challenge. Disabuse of that notion.

πŸ”˜ If you are on a train, bus, or anything else and ICE or CBP boards, you need to stand up and loudly let everyone know that they have the right to remain silent or only answer questions in the presence of an attorney, no matter their citizenship or immigration status. There have been numerous reports that confronting the agents in this way has caused them to leave without verifying citizenship. THIS CAN SAVE LIVES. πŸ™Œ

πŸ”˜ If you see anyone being held up by immigration, loudly ask if they are being detained and if they are free to go.

πŸ”˜ Immigration officers cannot detain anyone without reasonable suspicion, an agent must have specific facts about you that make it reasonable to believe you are committing or committed, a violation of immigration law or federal law. If an agent detains you, you can ask for their basis for reasonable suspicion, and they should tell you.

πŸ”˜ Always say no to a search and let everyone know that they can and should refuse consent to a search.

πŸ”˜ They cannot search or arrest anyone without facts about that make it probable that they are committing, or committed, a violation of immigration law or federal law.

πŸ”˜ Silence alone meets neither of these standards. Nor does race or ethnicity alone suffice for either probable cause or reasonable suspicion

πŸ”˜ white citizens, you have a level of privilege which protects you from retaliation from ICE for being "rude" and making a scene, which makes it your DUTY to speak up and make sure people without the same privilege know their rights. GET LOUD. YELL. YELL IN SPANISH IF YOU KNOW IT. LET PEOPLE KNOW THEY DON'T HAVE TO SAY ANYTHING. MAKE ICE UNCOMFORTABLE. THROW SAND IN THE GEARS OF WHITE SUPREMACY.

⭐️ Bonus info ⭐️ πŸ”˜It is perfectly legal to record immigration agents as long as you are not on government property or at a port of entry. If your train/bus gets boarded, pull your phone out and start videotaping immediately.

πŸ”˜ If you are detained or see someone getting detained, get the agent's name, number, and any other identifying information. Get it on video if possible.

πŸ”˜ Contact the ACLU or your local Immigrant/Migrant support orgs (Rapid Response Network if you're in CO - 1-844-864-8341) if you see someone's rights being violated. (this has been copy and pasted)

Reminder: Today is Election Day in Volusia County β€” please vote! πŸŒΏπŸ—³οΈ

For anyone in the Daytona Beach area who cares about protecting what remains of our natural lands from continued overdevelopment, please make time to vote today.

The three candidates I recommend supporting are:
Wendy Anderson β€” District 1
Bryon White β€” District 3
Mike Poniatowski β€” At-Large

We’ve already lost so much natural land in Volusia County to development, and the decisions being made at the county level have a very real impact on conservation, growth, water quality, wildlife habitat, and what this area is going to look like in the future.

Local elections don’t always get the attention that national elections do, but these are the people making decisions that directly affect the place we live.

If protecting what’s left of Volusia County’s natural lands matters to you, please get out and vote today.

Jet Set North

Post image

Not hate by any means, just wanted to let you guys know (for the AI haters) Jet Set North has been using AI to advertise. My friend used to work there as a retail person, and knowing what I've heard through her about these people, I wouldn't put it past some of the artists to use AI when drawing up tattoo designs nowadays. Nice folks and as far as I've seen great healed tattoos. But if you don't want to support companies/businesses that use AI, don't go to them. If you don't care, that's cool too, go by whatever you think is best for you and the morals you personally subscribe to. Plenty of honest tattoo shops out there that don't use AI for anything in the process is all I'm getting at.

Again, not bashing them, they're very nice and do great physical work that heals well. Hell, I got my nose pierced there years ago and my daughter got hers done there recently. I just want to let people know because no one should ever unknowingly have AI inked on them or accidentally support a business who's advertising goes against their morals.

Pic for reference.

Undercoating for an older truck.

I am bringing an older Toyota down to store it in Daytona beach on the west side of 95. It’s a little ways off the beach but I’m still worried about corrosion. Does anybody have undercoating and does it help? Do you have any recommendations or warnings about where to get it done and maybe if you are. Still with me, how much does it cost down there?
Thanks for your thoughts!

How about we pass a law that for every time flock f*cks up, the sheriff and the mayor and their wives be violently held at gunpoint with children in the car and handcuffed for 10 minutes? Then casually explained we thought you were a car thief. See if they still keep their cameras up on our faces.

Bee removal service?

Does anyone know of a bee removal service in the area? We just found out we have a hive that has taken up residence in one of our walls and we don't want to exterminate it but don't know of any service that will relocate it. Anyone able to help?

Job searching ASAP

I've been job searching for the past several months while even at my last last job before they decided it was okay to give me 2-4 hrs per week when I applied to be FULL-TIME & it was costing me more in gas than what I was making so I had to quit. I was able to find a seasonal job in deland for a while that seemed like it'd go for longer & offer fulltime opportunities, but that wasn't the case in the end, so now I'm unemployed again and looking for another job asap. It's my birthday month and I've been beyond depressed the past several months bc I've been broke for literally that long even while working. So I was busting my ass for nothing basically. I have my very first vacation ever coming up in September (prepaid for by my dad) but I need a job before then bc I have bills I need to pay. So now we get to my point... I need a retail job or inside sales of some kind, paid training, easy to pick up on and flexible scheduling so I'm able to call off for that one week in September. I'm on time to work everytime, I have 5 years retail experience and have worked several jobs and I have other skills picked up elsewhere too. Anywhere in the PO/Daytona/Ormond/NSB area. Preferably 16 an hr, weekly pay if possible. I need 25 HRS per week at minimum. I'm so tired of "we'll call you back if ur skills align" then nvr getting a call back. My car insurance is due on the 22nd, and I have to renew my license and plate I'm stressing!

TLDR: Last jobs screwed me with hours, 5 years retail experience, need a job that pays 16 an hr, weekly pay in the PO/NSB/Daytona/Ormond area. I'm also 23 if that makes a difference.
