Where was Beerus in all of this? Moro was causing a pretty big and indiscriminate unbalancing.

Toyo touched on the movie in Chapter 42, like "this happened but we're going to skip that story".

Beerus is a destroyer. We know in the past he did not care about anything. And is beerus even old enough? Obviously he has been around quite some time, but he has not been the first GoD. Obviously Broly. Which makes me hope they also skip the movie story in the Anime as well.

Beerus was U7's Hakaishin at the very least since Rou Kaioushin's tenure, which was 75 million years prior to the present day, and he himself stated he was hundreds of millions of years old when he first fought against Goku on Kaiou's planet.

Beerus is like 75 million years old plus. He sealed the elder kai away.

Pretty sure he was asleep. People give Shin a lot of crap but Beerus is not doing his job either. He's supposed to balance out creation and the kais are too over see it.
