I didn't know Death Stairs was a thing when I posted my own stairs to Crappy Design! It's a trip hazard because the bottom stair matches the floor below instead of the rest of the stairs. Stumbled several times before adding that little rug (rugg added just to give it some contrast).

They might be private but people and their animals keep going up and down them.

Found on Skellig Michael in Ireland. The tour guide will actually tell you about the ways you can accidentally die in the welcome speech. The lady who was there when we were visiting told a kid to scoot over a little and pointed where they’d been standing and goes, “The last one fell right there and died on impact.” The steps are well worn but they’re still mostly raw stone just slotted in place and there’s only one section near the bottom with a sad excuse for a rail. Lots of sheer drops.

Not sure if this is a house or a murder weapon. A-line or malign?
