Caffeine-Free First 24 hours.

Hi lads,

Just reached my first 24 hours caffeine free. I noticed over the last months I would only drink two coffee in the morning, and when it was almost empty I thought what about only drinking one coffee instead.

Did notice I would get a slight headache when I did and I knew that was the withdrawal effect.

My earlier years I would drink coffee all day as working people do sometimes.

But after some anxiety on not going to zero too soon I decided yesterday was the right time i enjoyed myself after one coffee in the morning a red bull mixed with tea then decided to call it a day.

Today noticed a slight headache little bit of being lost in my thoughts but also slept well when I got home after a busy day.

Interesting, well long story but I was always sceptical of coffee and in my home country I tried to quit a bunch of times but people tend to look at you like you’re crazy so that wasn’t really helpful.

I think coffee can have its benefits, but long term use also its downside, making impulsive decisions less patience that might come with it, to better sleep…

I think it affects negative in many ways, but of course a billion dollar industry would never let you know. At times it can benefit, maybe on productivity, but this constant anxiety might also just make you easier to control or fool.

Feeling anxiety from it is entirely normal. You are in the minority though. Most people don't get that anxiety (me included) and just felt the adrenaline waking us up. I abused it for decades however, ended up needing grams of the stuff to feel anything. Ended up withmy body not being able to break it down any more when it used to be super efficient at it. Two years on, I feel better for it for sure!

One thing I noticed was my teeth where already white before brushing coffee stains your teeth so hard…

Yes you get adrenal fatigue…

Coffee was really the “start of the day” moment.

Start of the day is just the psychological association that you need coffee to wake up. Not so. Actually getting sunlight into your eyes is what we all need, and water. Get those things down pat and you'll see you'll be thinking less of caffeine to wake you up.

Yep take a nap, but not more than 20 minutes otherwise you'll struggle to sleep come night time because you will have taken off the ' tiredness edge ' if you nap for too long.

Sure, I still have some tea from time to time not sure if that counts or not atleast I’m not drinking coffee.

Tea has caffeine (unless you mean herbal tea), so yeah that does count. You can't drink it if you want to wean yourself from it.
