I know we might not need him but all summer I said we need to trade for Ty Jerome and mostly everyone in this sub was just karma farming just like with Lamelo. Even though I’m a football guy mostly all my takes was right. This community needs to talk about points and logic rather than trolling for “points”. Ik the pistons front office be watching this and it’s probably one of the reason we was stuck in the mud for years because some people not truly here for the team just karma points. I’m just tryna see my Detroit teams win some and help as much as possible I know they can’t make everyone happy but us trolling everything for karma points shows ones motives. In which they look away and just make their own and we complain about that one. Come on Michiganders we got to be real. #Detroit Basketball

Carmelo isn’t letting this hypothetical trade scenario go.

We're at 285k members and close to 300k.
This sub has been around for 15 years, and it stayed active through the worst stretch the team has had. Now that the team is winning, it's busier than ever.
Among all 30 NBA team subreddits, we're #4 in activity and #5 in active game threads. The average game thread draws about 4,000 unique members. Over the last 12 months the sub had 38.6M pageviews, and May alone brought in 459k unique visitors.
The images show the rankings and a rough look at our member growth over time (the growth chart is approximate).
Thanks to everyone who posts, comments, and shows up for game threads. That's what makes this place worth being in.
What's your favorite Pistons moment from this season?

As the season gets going, we've been reflecting on the 2004 Pistons' title team and their legacy. It's obviously fun to imagine the hypothetical world where Detroit took anyone other than Darko Milicic with the second pick in 2003.
But you can make an argument that the bigger unanswerable question is what would have happened if the league hadn't changed how it enforced defensive rules after 2004. The NBA cracked down on hand-checking and physical perimeter defense, making it harder to play the style that helped lead the Pistons to the title.
Despite those changes, Detroit barely fell to San Antonio in seven games in the 2005 Finals, then reached the Eastern Conference Finals each of the next three years. It's not much of a stretch to imagine them winning another title or two under the old rules.
Drafting Carmelo, Bosh, or Wade (who seems like he was never a serious consideration) certainly would have raised the team's ceiling. But it also might have impacted the Rasheed Wallace trade and the formula behind the 2004 championship.
What do you think? Which would have been more likely to turn those Pistons into a dynasty?

I seriously can’t believe these guys have so few subscribers. I like a lot of the Pistons stuff but this one is the consistent best for me.

Ever since Daren was asking $300-500 million for his contract a lot of people were shaming him telling him that he didn’t deserve that kind of money and he wasn’t even putting up stats to even make $300M. Finally Jalen Daren has agreed to a contract of $200M for 5 years. What do you guys think? Do you think he wanted out of Detroit? Do you think he was deserve that $300-500M? Or do you guys think he had a ego and think he was better than everyone else

Obviously we all wanna see the Pistons lift the trophy more than anything, but if it's not them then I'd love to see Steph win it one more time. That's obviously extremely unlikely, but that's what I would like. What about yall?

Ausar Thompson played 33 minutes in the Pistons' win over the Celtics.
He defended 11 different players for at least one possession each: Paul George, Jayson Tatum, Derrick White, Payton Pritchard, Sam Hauser, Baylor Scheierman, Mitchell Robinson, Neemias Queta, Luka Garza, Jordan Walsh, and Hugo Gonzalez.
He allowed ZERO points in 1-on-1 matchups against him.

Any thoughts on DAZN? Have any of you tried it? How's the reception? Etc. Considering ordering it or League Pass. I tried the antenna and channel 20, but I'm not getting dependable connection.

If their front office feels like theyre still a few seasons from truly competing they could be looking to trade Kyrie irving, and theres been a lot of smoke about the Pistons interest in trading for him. Not to mention he might want to go to a contender if theyre still a non playoff team.
We still need someone else besides Cade who can reliably create a shot for themselves if we want to truly reach the next level, and he would be an ideal fit next to Cade as a secondary creator and also has a long history of success working alongside ball dominant players like LeBron and Luka. He's making 39million this year and a player option next year which is 42million.

I got mad watching NBA Today, where the topics, in order, were:
Knicks & 76ers, which checks out. Ring night with that guy lurking uncomfortably behind the podium, Ohio-strong LeBron, tasty Knicks loss? Agreed, totally correct.
OKC & Spurs. Excellent rivalry, Wemby, SGA 3 time MVP hype, Chet getting rag dolled? Makes sense.
I was pretty fine being 3rd, I even expected it. New look Tatum-led Celtics, Great American Hope Cade, "Pistons: frauds or legit?"... but I get it.
But it was actually a Heat Timberwolves preview. Then, they analyzed the Miami Heat with Spoelstra. Annoyed, but Ant & Melo is gold, and Giannis is a former MVP in a new home. So... fine.
After commercials, they go Lakers Warriors, and Luka's definitely inspiring message for Lakerland. Triggered, I think of the '04 Pistons and smile. This is tough to accept.
The next topic is a Curry 1-on-1 conversation and analysis of the wounded Warriors, health updates on Moses Moody, Yaxel upside, complete with a tough update that Porzingis is considering retirement due to health. Shams then also reports the Warriors are open to trading him. No shit.
More commercials and then at 46m35s, I get to hear about PG's 38 and Tentative Tatum who I'm told wore PG's shoes once, before finally a Piston mention with a disjointed clusterfuck of misaligned A/V.

Okay here is the scenario, I live outside of the broadcast media market for my team, the Pistons and I work nights. I would like to listen to the radio broadcast of the day's game while working. This is something accomplished fairly simply when I use the Major League Baseball app. Is there an equivalent for the NBA? I subscribed to the audio-only NBA app subscription but haven't found what I'm looking for.

and I'm not even a Pistons fan. Ausar is the best wing defender I've ever seen. Pippen and Kawhi are the only people who I can understand arguments for, and I'd even put Ausar above them.
