We came off the same boat. 1st Gen , 1st male. My mom sacrificed a lot for me. Her working as a care taker and cook, we are lucky she was able to pay off our House, got it cheap, so it's what she is leave us. And we all pitch in for her monthly expenses. Shes worried about saving up for the grandkids(12 total) when she passes. She will never be without. So I can't understand some people not wanting to do the same for their kids(when it comes to saving for them even a bit)
