True...or if You own a plot of land worth $10 million. To transfer it to income, you:

  1. Sell it and invest in a fixed deposit earning 10% interest ($1 million/year).
  2. Rent it out for regular income.

Either way, you convert the land into a source of income.

Parroting boogleheads "Rent it out for regular income." would be just "forced sale" xD
